Having read the recent reviews I was a bit worried but still booked as I had been to the hotel before. If you are English and thinking of going here, I just want to remind you that it is actually in Spain - remember you got there on a plane? That should have been a clue as to why there are Spanish people there. Reception staff were friendly and we checked in very quickly. This is a nice clean hotel a short walk from the beach and the old town. It has 2 pools the main pool being overlooked by a sun deck. We had no problem getting sun beds every day. It has a Poolside bar so no long treks anywhere. Bar staff were great, friendly and attentive. Usual buffet style restaurant with good choice and a daily special. Also a bar in the restaurant. Also snacks outside of main times. Staff in here were really good cleaning up, stocking the buffet etc. In the evening the pool bar is closed and the bar in the main hotel is used. If you are all inclusive there is a separate section, don't worry if there is a que, it's cleared in no time. Entertainment the usual Spanish hotel type stuff. Maids clean the room daily to a good standard, also the rooms have air con which is great. Lovely atmosphere in the hotel as there were Spanish, Dutch, French and Brits which give it a great international feel. I would go back to this hotel again. Collapse
English not welcome. Not a smile or greeting from staff all 11 nights.

Marion L has said it all., Entrance like Train Station/ Reception Lounge like an Airport.Staff not even look at you. Entertainment was just spanish dancing most of the time, nothing said in english. Not much information, just gained some info from the few other english that were there. The so called lifeguards, ( the young ones) happily sat the whole time preening themselves and on mobile phones hidden from view (we saw from our balcony). The only "lifeguard" that took any notice and stopped the jumping in and throwing in pool by adults, was the older man. All in all this place was not liked by most english we spoke both to young and older guests. We booked with Thomson and were very surprised that they have this place on their bookings. No welcome meeting as such, just a girl called Polly, the Thomson rep who asked us if we wanted to know anything, to which we said, we are here for the welcome meeting, we hope you would be giving us some information as per usual meetings, so she told us where to get the local bus and a couple of leaflets, including of course the one about the trips, that was it nothing else, nada. Never again. Collapse

My brother and I spent a week here 17th-24th June, and I have been a Chef for over 30 years, I have NEVER served frozen veg to guests ever in any hotel, restaurant or bistro that I have ever worked in! The food they served up was the worst food I have ever had to force myself to eat EVER, my brother and I have stayed all over europe and this is by far the worst "hotel" we have ever stayed in! We chose to go All Inclusive (BIG MISTAKE) total waste of money. Do not go anywhere near the salad bar! I fancied a bit of salad as a snack one day, I went to pick up some Tomatoes and hundreds of tiny black flies flew off of them, the SAME Tomatoes were still out for the evening meal too, the only things that weren't covered in bugs/flies were the shredded onions and pickled chillies (out of a jar), I also spotted a cockroach underneath the salad bar too! DO NOT EAT THE SALAD! On to the main meals, FROZEN Veg over-steamed and mushy everyday, Potatoes rock hard as they were uncooked, One day they put out a tray of what was supposed to be "Mashed Potato" sadly this was very watery and made of POWDERED MASH! ALL of the Mains/Meat and Fish dishes were overcooked and extremely dry. Be aware of the plates, as dirty plates were put in with the clean ones. As a Chef I have absolutely no doubt that even the desserts were also bought in as they are basically the same all week, just rotated every other day. The Bread Rolls are inedible as they are left out all day too and are very stale, (if you threw one at some body you'd knock them out)! Breakfast is just as bad I think the "Scrambled Egg" was made up of powdered egg left over from the WW2, every time I or my brother tried tried it we needed the toilet immediately! The "entertainment" (if you can call it that) was aimed directly for the Spanish guests, and didn't start till around 10-10:30pm knowing the All Inclusive Bar closes at 11:00pm! The twin rooms are very small and it's a bit of a tight squeeze, the cleaners never cleaned under the beds, it was absolutely disgusting under them, whereas the shower room/toilets were kept immaculate, despite the extremely dangerous highly polished marble/granite tiles that were very slippery even with a towel on the floor! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS "HOTEL" AT ALL... Collapse
