We were a family group of 8 with people aged 12-70+ in our group. We had 3 rooms in a row all of which were of a terrific size - bedroom, lounge and dining area, changing/walk in wardrobe room, bathroom and balcony with large sun lounger and table and chairs. Rooms were cleaned daily and fresh bottle of water placed in the fridge each time. Lots of plugs for charging our gadgets and plenty of hooks in the bathroom to hang towels (normally that is an issue but not here). I really cannot fault the room at all. The food (all inclusive) was great and a good variety too. I loved the grilled meats section, the pasta chef and obviously the pancake chef! I would be flabbergasted if someone said they couldn't find something they liked here. It can get busy there but they managed to seat 8 of us together whenever we needed it. Wine and beer were on hand in the dining room along with the usual soft drinks and water. Drinks from the bar were fine - it could get busy there but once they had 3 barmen on duty it was better. Two TVs are in the bar showing sports or Disney. Entertainment in the evening was outdoors and despite the slight chill (it was April) it was nice to be able to get a seat and see the action rather than being crammed indoors and not be able to sit or see. All the entertainment was concluded by 11pm which suited us fine. Daytime entertainment included lots of sports and mini games. We were more than happy to spend 3 hours each afternoon playing football, volleyball, hockey or badminton on the purpose built sports areas. Loads of people joined in and made sure we all made new friends. The animation team were hard working and good fun - Natalia, Christina and Martin were our main entertainers with the sports and they did a great job. Now onto the pool and sun loungers - basically I had no problem getting 6 sun loungers on any of the 6 days I needed them. I went down between 8.30 and 9am each morning on the way to breakfast and was amazed each time as to how many loungers were still free. Now half of the hotel poolside is in shade during April and the pool is freezing which means people are limited to where they get their loungers - and those wanting to be at the pool edge to keep an eye on kids will need to get there sooner. I imagine it might be a bit crazier in summer but I don't know why people are saying it was impossible to get a sun lounger after 7.30am in April. Equally the pools were never over crowded as they were so cold (there is an indoor warm one but that's not a pool area I used) hardly anyone used them. The nearby beach was not yet prepped for public use but it will be by May. However a 20 min walk into Santa Ponsa itself will give you the bigger beach you crave. Lots of shops en route too and some very good supermarkets close to the hotel if you need something. The hotel staff were efficient and friendly and we're happy to help sort any issues anyone had. I borrowed a kettle no problem and they sorted us some extra blankets for night time within minutes of asking. You can hire beach towels for €15 deposit each and the safety deposit box can be hired for about €24 per week. I can't comment on the kids club or techno-zone but it looked great including loads of games consoles to use. The hotel ponies were cute and families enjoyed taking time to pet them. Overall this was a great week away in a great hotel with great weather. Collapse

Stayed here for a week all inclusive in April with the kids and was impressed from the start. The room was excellent and the hotel itself was spotlessly clean. The food was good and the staff are friendly and cant do enough for you particularly Christina, Martin, Natalia and the animation team who did a great job keeping both the kids and adults entertained. Although the hotel was full we didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn to get a sunbed and the queues for the bar weren't too bad, there is also an adults only roof terrace if you want more peace and quiet. There are shops and bars close by and the beach of Santa Ponca is a 15 minute walk away. The pool temperature was very cold but it was April so to be expected and the beach was rocky which we knew in advance. All in all we had a lovely time and would definitely recommend this hotel for families and are considering booking again. Collapse
Fantastic, apart from queues!

We visited for a week from 16 April. We had a great holiday; me, my husband, 80 yo mother and 13 yo son. Food was good - accommodation was good, only downside was the queues. One suggestion I would make is to maybe install a coffee machine for self service in the evening- we waited in a queue for a coffee every evening - sometimes for 20 minutes. Other than that we had a great time and would consider booking again. Collapse

The hotel itself is clean and well looked after and the reception staff are generally polite and very helpful. It was my son's 10th birthday while we were there and they arranged a birthday cake for him at dinner (unsolicited) which was a nice touch. The bar staff were friendly, in particular Nathanial and Jose Maria, but the queues were sometimes excessive, particularly on an evening, which was not helped by the fact that they did not serve pints and that the pool bar was closed for the entire second week we were there. The food was usually of a good standard, but never hot, with plenty of choice, although there was little variation. However, on one day, there was breaded chicken which was not cooked properly (raw in the middle). If you are expecting a couple of nights in the Al a Carte restaurant - forget it. This was merely an extension to the main restaurant with the same buffet fare. Even outside of peak season, it was very difficult to get a couple of sun loungers around the pool and at this time of year the main pool is quite cold. Also be aware that one side of the pool is in constant shade. Also at this time of year, it gets a bit cold on an evening and the entertainment is outside. The Animation team work really hard and put on a good show but some of the professional acts were really bad. Also, there appears to be a new noise law in Majorca (we were told) which limits the volume of the performances to quite a low level which really affects some shows. The nearby "beach" is seasonal - as mentioned in the small print. Outside of the summer season, it has no sand and is covered in sea weed. Having said that, a little further around from this there is safe access to sea in a sheltered cove which is great for snorkeling (just be careful as some of the rocks are quite sharp). Also buried in the small print is that the air conditioning in the rooms is only available from May onwards which we could have done with on a night. The room consisted of a bedroom with 2 single beds and a main room with effectively 3 single beds (a sofa bed and a Z-bed which were left like that all of the time). There is a separate dressing room as the only place to store your clothes etc which is not adequate for a family of 5 so we couldn't ever fully unpack. It is about a 15 minute walk to the main beach in Santa Ponsa which is quite nice and empty at this time of year. The hotel hires bikes which is a great way of exploring but the landscape is a bit hilly and the pavements are not always very wide if you are riding with children. In summary, if you get up early enough and like sitting by the pool all day, you will love this hotel. Collapse

Great hotel for kids! My daughter loved the kids club and mini disco! Christina working in the kids club is really good with the children! Food choice great! We stayed at the beginning of the season and felt the waiters & bar staff were still finding their feet a little. Extra staff needed really especially of an evening on the bar in particular. We all hate queuing and some eves could be queuing for 10mins plus! 2 bar men not enough or one bar but I did hear they open up an outside bar later in the season so that would make a difference! The hotel is small so I'm not sure I could do 2 weeks here but Santa Ponsa Sq (2mins walk) & Santa Ponsa (10 mins walk) has lots to offer if you did book for 2 weeks. I would return & recommend this hotel to families. We were really lucky with the weather in April and got a bargain booking with travel republic and Ryanair so overall had a great holiday! Collapse
