What a fabulous hotel and spa in a wonderful location with stunning views of the local countryside. Stayed here for two nights recently and can honestly say this hotel and spa is as close to perfection as we have experienced. A stunning location approached by a long drive through to the hotel reception where you a greeted courteously, professionally but overall with a genuine welcome. Shown to our room, we had booked the Louisa Mary Bowater suite, this stunning suite was magnificently furnished and equipped with lots of additional luxuries, such as a very well equipped hospitality tray with a wide range of teas, coffees and chocolate drinks, a coffee capsule machine, fridge, DVD player and a very handy USB / Bluetooth hub. We also had a large table and chairs by the bay windows with brilliant views across the countryside. We ate in the Cedar Restaurant (reviewed separately) the first evening but rest assured with such a stunning room and view we quickly changed our arrangements for day 2 to room service for both breakfast and dinner, both were supplied onetime and of a very high standard. You must also take time for either a mid morning coffee or pre dinner drink (or both) in the Great Hall, fabulous environment. My wife used the Spa facilities and also enjoyed one of the available treatments and reported back that all was equally very good / nice. Running out of superlatives now....just excellent and we will be going back! Collapse

Had a weekend spa break here. The hotel is beautiful, stunning building, wonderful grounds and views, stunning public areas and our rooms were spacious, full of character but with all mod cons. Dinner and breakfast were excellent, with fresh ingredients beautifully cooked and portion size was just right for all of us. The spa has a lovely pool area with ample lounging areas inside as well as outside in the lovely gardens when weather permits. There is an outdoor hydro pool and inside a sauna steam room and gym. Free tea coffee and water available all day in the spa and the spa lunch is very very good. (You do have to go to the main hotel for this and change out of your robes but it's a minor inconvenience). Changing areas are spotless. This was a fabulous experience all round and they have some of the best and original cocktails we've had in a long time!! Collapse

You are driving through the gorgeous countryside on narrow two-lane, tree-covered, roads and turn onto a narrow lane. You get a glimpse of a pristine 13th century country church, notice the beautiful green field with sheep grazing, and behind stands the stunning Fawsley Hall. Left for ruins decades ago, the property and its buildings have been beautifully restored, utilizing as many of the original pieces as possible. Imagine sleeping in the wing that hosted Elizabeth I in 1575! The intimate restaurant serves a sumptuous filet as well as a variety of other options. The building and the property is steeped with history which you should certainly take time to study to fully appreciate Fawsley. Take time to view the photographs of the property prior to restoration. The restoration is elegant but not gaudy. The staff were not only attentive but absolutely delightful, whether in the reception, the bar, or the dining room. The property also offers a spa with an extensive list of options. Take time to walk down to the 13th century church and grounds or wander around the South side of the building and lose yourself in the formal gardens. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, a wedding venue, or a corporate retreat, this is the perfect place! Collapse

So this was my first trip to Fawsley Hall, and I am quite ashamed of myself. I only live 20 minutes away and I never knew of it's existence which makes me quite sad. Now I know, and I am sure to come back. This was a total surprise booked for my hen do by my Maid of Honour and my mother. What a surprise, eh? Firstly, Who ever came up with the Pina Colada recipe needs to email me as they were honestly the best I have ever tasted.. and I've been to ALOT of place. Everything was lovely. The Rooms were gorgeous and sparkling. The spa was also nice, didn't get to spend much time outside as there were a group of people in the hot tub that seemed to stay there for an eternity. I didn't fancy joining their gang, So We just stay by the pool. The food was incredible, I was a former chef... and I know how long it takes to get certain things the taste the way they do. Shout out to the head chef... you're obviously doing something right! Overall - It was amazing and I will definitely be back. Until next time Fawsley! Collapse
