I stayed over this weekend after having attending the hotel on 25th March for my daughters wedding. The hotel is a beautiful place and the grounds are lovely. My partner and I found a nice walk nearby before dinner. The food was very good and the portions were generous. The rooms were very nice and the views were beautiful. The staff were very helpful and inviting. I must mention one individual Kevin McLeod. He is a very genuinely caring person who made our stay very nice. He also helped with the setting up of my daughters wedding reception and organised the wedding reception on the day. His involvement was outstanding and his attention to all was very much appreciated. He is an asset to the company and a very nice person with excellent customer service skills. Thank you Kevin Collapse

I had my wedding at the beginning of April. The day was pretty much perfect, helped hugely by the wonderful staff who could not have done more for us. The grounds are beautiful, a bonus if you are having an outdoor ceremony like we did. The reception room was laid out nicely and the staff were brilliant at quickly turning the room around for the evening party. I have to give particular thanks to Kevin who ran the day so smoothly and kept checking to see if I was ok or needed anything and made sure I was in the right place at the right times. The food was lovely and they had a good choice for the wedding menu. They were very happy to accommodate any dietary needs. All the guests were happy with their rooms and the honeymoon suite was very comfortable and roomy for getting ready in. I fully recommend this as wedding venue. Collapse

We held our daughters wedding here last weekend. The whole experience was great. The staff were helpful and considerate at all times. We had payed to have the hotel exclusively from the day of the wedding until the following day and I would strongly encourage others to do this as it meant that we had the attention of all of the hotel staff which enhanced the experience. Everything I asked for was attended to and their experience of dealing with weddings shone through. Kevin in particular was an absolute star. The food was excellent, and the bar staff extremely pleasant and accommodating. Yes the hotel needs a bit of love and attention in places but they are refurbing and all of the guests were happy with their rooms. The following day we were able to have a very relaxed breakfast . Even though it was a buffet, the quality was excellent and they cooked our eggs to order if we didn't want scrambled. Again the staff were pleasant and helpful right up to the time we left. It is marked as a three star but deserves a higher for the experience they gave us. You could get a much more glitzy, wedding elsewhere but if you want friendly, personalised service that gives you and your wedding guests a fun chilled day and night book here. Collapse

Arrived to find there was a wedding on, and it seemed like I was the only none wedding guest. As a result I could use neither the bar nor the restaurant, and was, effectively confined to my room. Given that Farnham itself is a drive away, I accepted this and ordered room service. Worryingly quickly a chicken burger arrived looking like pub food from the 80s and, indeed, it may have been in the oven since then. Tough as old boots, it's dryness was heightened by the lack of any kind of sauce apart from coleslaw which came out of a tub. Clearly, in this place, food is something of a utilitarian need. Given that there was a wedding on, the hotel should have warned me up front to the lack of facilities and the inconvenience. If you can't even offer your guests a place to sit and enjoy a drink in the evening, I don't think you should describe yourself as a hotel, or at the very least offer a discount. To top it all, the revelry from the wedding resounded throughout the corridors of this noisy hotel until the small hours. Not great when you need to be up early. Breakfast was passable in parts, although it was a buffet affair with scrambled egg you can slice. It is also the only place I have been to in a long time which brews tea in great batches - even the most modest places offer you a tea bag these days. The whole place felt like a throwback to times when hotels were arrogant enough to think the honour was the guest's and not the other way round. These kind of places are few and far between for good reason. I'm sure there are far better places for similar money in the area. Collapse

Stayed here after attending a wedding, the rooms were very basic and very dated. There was a fridge in the room a long with a tv. The bathroom was an ok side however again the shower was very old and could do with being replaced. That being said the bed was comfy and it did the job for what we needed! The staff were friendly friendly and very helpful, we had breakfast in the morning which was a fry up with choices of tea, coffee, Orange and apple juice. The room was on the pricey side considering the condition and I think that would put me off stay in the future. Collapse
