The hotel is very quiet at night and the beds are very comfortable. The food has always been excellent and plentiful with a very good breakfast in the morning. Many thanks Collapse

See my previous reviews from 9th November 2014 and 19th November 2016. Every year I attend this hotel with family for a yearly conference, and every year we walk away really disappointed with the quality of the food. It never improves and if anything, gets worse. Our evening starter was fine but the main course was just awful. I had sea bass and some others on the table had pork belly. Mine, and a few other people's sea bass didn't have crispy skin and was cold. For myself, I had pieces of mussel shell in my mashed potato. For the people who had pork, the fat on it was slimy and bouncy, cold, and the crackling disgusting and tasted like pure grease with no hint of salt. Dessert was fine. For breakfast, we walked in and were asked if we would like tea or coffee etc as usual, but on ordering food the server just asked "Would you like a full English?" To which we replied "Isn't there anything else?" (a couple of years ago we had a small menu and could order just scrambled eggs, or eggs Benedict etc) She said "I don't know I'll have to ask the chefs what they can make" We decided on a full English anyway. The same thing for every other diner "Would you like a full English?" We had no complaints about the room or anything else. It's a lovely hotel. The bathroom was nice and big and this may seem a strange comment to make, but it could have done with being smaller (I slipped on the wet floor in the morning and nearly broke something due to the small bath mat and the size of the room. Will most likely return next year and really hope to be pleasantly surprised next time around. Collapse

Attended a friends wedding here a couple of weeks ago, it was brilliant - the hotel is really well set out for weddings, the main entrance/ hall way is stunning. We stayed overnight and the room was lovely.

We went to the farington lodge for after noon tea whitch was a gift from my son and his wife. The staff were very helpful. Because it was our wedding anniversary the waiter even gave us a card. The food was excellent with a good choice of sandwiches and cakes etc. The staff made sure everything was ok for us asking if we wanted more tea etc. We were staying in Blackpool on holiday so it was not to far to travel .We live in the north east. We would definitely recommend having after noon tea.thank you. Collapse
