Faithlegg's big trick has been to find/employ/train terrific staff, starting in reception and continuing in the bar, restaurant and leisure centre. Yes, the public areas can feel crowded when there's a wedding on, but the staff find a smile for everyone and the place runs remarkably smoothly, even at busy times. Reception took our overnight bags when we arrived and delivered them to our rooms while we played golf. At dinner in the calm and comfortable main dining room, there was no hint or sound of the large wedding reception taking place down the corridor. Breakfast in the same room worked equally well. Faithlegg is a very professional hotel operation; it was our first visit and we will return. Collapse

Have never stayed here but have attended weddings , gone for lunch in the bar , had dinner in the restaurant . The setting of this hotel is gorgeous .. A few miles outside Waterford City . When you turn into the entrance the driveway is approx half a mile through their own golf course .. Beautiful views . The hotel itself is a beautiful building ... Beautifully restored . The food is very good .. Lunch in the bar is a relaxing affair, very well priced for the quality and service you receive . Equally, dinner is very good quality with head chef Jenny Flynn who is excellent at what she does . Wholeheartedly recommend this hotel .. Either for weekend breaks for couples friends or families or just for lunch or dinner . A firm favourite of ours . Collapse

We recently stayed here for an overnight break and found everything to be great. The service of all the staff was friendly and efficient. The room was huge and spotless. We had lunch in the bar which was delicious and dinner in the main dining room. The starters were on the small side but really tasty but the main course compensated for this so I cant complain. The leisure center is well run and very clean. Overall our stay at Faithlegg was excellent and we will certainly be back again Collapse

Just mailing to say a big Thank-you to all of the staff at Faithlegg, who contributed so handsomely to our Wedding at the venue on 31 Dec 2016. All guests were truly complimentary about the staff, food, organization and the facilities!. We really felt nothing could have gone better on the day. Furthermore, we really appreciated all of the support on the run up to the big day. Hence, we would not hesitate to recommend Faithlegg as a venue for a Wedding or any other type of event. It was all that I had hoped for. The reception staff were professional and welcoming. As our room was not ready, we were asked if we would like to wait in the packed tea room. We had a voucher for afternoon tea but no reservation, the receptionist made a few calls and to your delight got us a table. The afternoon tea and was fabulous, the waiter very friendly and made us very welcome. After tea we headed for our room, well laid out, clean and comfortable. Once settled, we headed out for a walk around the golf course and garden before the light faded. Cold but very refreshing on our return we went to check out the leisure center. Very nice and well equipped, a must for the next day. Later that evening we got ready for dinner in the hotel restaurant. Our reservation was at a time when it was very busy. A very efficient head waitress brought us to a lovely table by the window over looking the garden. Our waiter was a delight and so helpful, the service very good and the food/wine excellent. After dinner it was to the bar/lounge for some music, relaxing and very enjoyable again the serving staff very good. Our bed was comfortable and after a good nights sleep it was a quick trip to the leisure center for a wake me up session before breakfast. The breakfast was served in the same dining room, we got the same waiter and table. In day light the view was lovely, the garden looking beautiful thanks to the mild winter. The breakfast was a mix of self service for the cereals, breads, cold meats etc. while the hot foods were cooked to order. A nice change to the usual ready made hot counters breakfast's. Our choice of breakfast was good, plenty-full and hot. Though very busy our waiter gave us the time and a little history of the hotel. After breakfast a quick walk around outside to take it all in before heading home. Our late check out was dealt with efficiently, definitely a re-visit to Faithlegg is on the cards. The staff a credit to the hotel.. Collapse
