My wife and I absolutely loved the City view from our room! We were on the 20th floor with the pool and Area 31 restaurant right below us. They had loud club music in the evening but hey stopped at 11pm. For us as a couple it was nice to listen to the music and not have to be in the crowds below. We ordered room service while we were there, and it was some of the best food we have had, the chef deserves and award at this place. It was great that once we parked at the hotel, everything else was in walking distance. There is even a whole foods grocery store one block over. With the location, the views, and the pampering, you just can't beat this hotel. However, there is a possible negative. The hotel turns into a night club in the evenings (at least on the weekend that we were there) so parking gets a little crazy, there are people everywhere and its loud until about 11pm. Personally its not a place I would bring my young boys too, but my wife and I really enjoyed it. Collapse
AVOID AT ALL COSTS - rude aggressive staff - stay at the Marquis/W Hotel instead.

I don't think i have ever experienced staff as rude in my entire life. My wife came off a 14 hour flight and checked in ahead of me, was first given a room with disabled friendly bathroom, etc. Requested a change and was put directly above the extremely noisy bar, like trying to sleep in a nightclub. The only other option they could offer her was a room with two separate beds which she did not want. When i arrived i went down and was told by some receptionist who thought he was the bomb with HUGE attitude that he had TOOOLD MY WIFE THIS already - at which point i told him i was not paying the hotel money to deal with his mega attitude. Spoke to the manager who offered nothing but further defense of extremely rude staff. Disgraceful, Not good enough, will be going back to the Marquis or the W next time. Collapse

We enjoyed everything about this hotel. Front desk staff was couteous and even offered us a free upgrade to the 28th floor without asking. We had amazing bay and city views. Loved looking out at Biscayne Key and watching the yachts go by. The room was clean, comfortable, and smelled really good. The pool was great (despite the fact that construction was going on). We ordered drinks and and some tasty food at the pool and received good service. Valet can get very crowded but we never had to wait more than a few minutes for our car. We also enjoyed the beautiful art in the lobby and free coffee in the mornings. I believe they also offer free wine but we weren't able to make it downstairs during that time period. Overall an 'epic' stay. Would definitely stay here again. Collapse

I am currently staying at the Epic in a lovely corner suite. the check in with Tanisha (?) was wonderful. She went out of her way to make everything so easy for me. an excellent job The room itself is great with a wonderful balcony beautiful views, spacious, lovely bathroom etc the linens need upgrading of which they changed mine right away when requested. We had dinner at their restaurant Area 31 and it was very very god, only matched by the server Dawn who made us so comfortable as well. I had a small issue that the Hotel Manager, Fernando Rivera, did an outstanding job of handling me and making me feel very well served. I look forward to coming back as everyone here has a smile and 5 star service congratulations to the management and Kimpton Collapse

I meant to write this review sooner, but was so frustrated going back and forth with the hotel to get a billing error resolved that I almost gave up. Upon checkout, the front desk person was either not properly trained or didn't know what she was doing. She kept swiping our credit card and claim it was not being accepted. She then asked the other lady at the desk to assist her, who eventually checked us out. To our dismay, we later found out that our credit card was charged three times for our stay...so, needless to say it was very disappointing that a great stay, ended up being such a huge headache; Trying to reach this hotel by phone is a nightmare; you hold indefinitely. My husband and I had to keep calling repeatedly to a) speak with someone, b) being constantly transferred to another department, c) being forwarded to the only person who could supposedly help us voicemail, and d) leaving a message and getting no reply. I finally decided to dispute the charges on my credit card and then one day out of the blue got a call from a man who informed me that there was problem with the hotel billing system that caused the triple charge. He then told me that the charges will take 5-7 business days to be removed from my credit card. Well that time past, and still the issue was not corrected...so, here we go again trying to reach this person who was now supposedly out on vacation. Finally, the charges was removed, after much frustration. Apart from that, we stayed on the 15th floor with city view. Our stay was pleasant since we were there with another couple. The location is great...close to shopping, restaurants, and Bayside (shopping, restaurants, boat cruise, nightly entertainment, etc. all of which we walked to. In the evening the hotel serve complimentary wine in the lobby, but nothing special. One day as we sat sipping our wine, we were asked to give up our chairs because they were being moved; I thought that was odd. Overall, I don't find anything special about this hotel, however, I would recommend the location, about 20 minutes ride from Miami airport and cost about $15 with Uber. Collapse
