Encore is a beautiful luxury hotel. Room was very nice and very quiet. Good internet connectivity in the room. Staff were pleasant and professional. Gym and pool were both excellent. Though the hotel is huge and I believe it was full during our visit, it still seemed relatively quiet compared to other Vegas hotels. Casino is smaller and quieter than the other big hotels. We often went to the adjoining Wynn for meals, and for the casino and sports book. Though it's a beautiful luxury property, for me it's sort of a notch below the Venetian which has slightly better rooms, more dining options, a bigger/livelier casino, and a better location. However, there certainly is nothing "wrong" with Encore; it's a beautiful hotel. Collapse
Showers do not live up to the Wynn luxury standard

We just spent a week at Encore. We rented a Encore Salon Suite. The room is absolutely huge. The only larger room we have ever rented was a galaxy room at Jade mountain. That room was so large that initially I couldn't figure out where the bed was--of course the pool was a huge part of that room. Anyway, back to the Encore. One feature that we particularly enjoyed was the auto-drapes. Sounds silly, I know, but there was a control box next to the sofas and on both sides of the bed. It was very nice to go to bed with the drapes open, and look at the Vegas lights, and then as sleep approaches, closing the drapes without getting out of bed. As far as we were concerned, the main advantage of the Encore is its "grown-up" atmospher. It just doesn't feel as frenetic as the casinos further south, which we appreciated. Moreover, even moving around on the street outside is much easier, than say down near Caesars/Flamingo. All is not perfect at the Encore. I am six feet tall--not particularly tall. And yet when I tried to wash my hair, the shower head hit me in the back of my head. I wanted to wet my hair, not bruise the back of my head. I think Steve Wynn should sue his architect, for gross incompetence. Every time that I had to do a backwards squat to wash my hair, I resented the shower more. Moreover, given the overall quality of the Encore, I was disappointed with the shower. I would have expected a rain shower, or other luxury shower fixtures, rather than a bargain basement Speakman shower head. It was Motel 6 quality, but at least the Motel 6 architect designs the plumbing so that the shower head is higher than the height of a typical man. My disappointment and frustration with the shower was the primary reason for my three star rating. A minor complaint is that for a modern hotel, the elevators are a tad slow. I don't know whether this was another architectural error, because the hotel should have had a one more elevator shaft, or whether the elevators are just a little slow by modern standards. All that I know is that elevator waiting time was a little longer than I am accustomed to in modern buildings. A big issue was the sloppy concierge service. Before our arrival, I had asked the concierge to book several restaurants, a couple of shows, and a helicopter ride. Our first night in Las Vegas, we went to the restaurant where our first reservation had been made. They had never heard of us. I showed them the printout from the Wynn, but they still insisted that no reservation had been made. So we asked the concierge to confirm the remainder of our reservations. A couple of days later, I was reviewing our remaining plans, and realized that another reservation had just disappeared from the printout that the Encore gave us to confirm our reservations. Everything worked out, but rather than trust the concierge to make your dinner reservations, I recommend that you trust Open Table instead. One disappointing oddity at the Encore was a lack of coffee/tea service in the room. It is a minor issue for us since a continental breakfast was included, so room service brought us coffee. But a coffee maker in the room would help when I got up before the wife, and had to wait for her to arise before ordering the breakfast. Here is an oddball complaint. Wynn has extremely thick, and large, and luxurious comforters on their beds. When you slide into bed, they feel wonderful. But a hour later, I would wake-up covered in sweat. Because the comforter is so thick and large, it goes past the sides of the bed and seals you in. It is so thick that the combination of being sealed in, under a thick comforter is simply to warm. We could not air-condition the room cold enough to be comfortable under that comforter. A lighter weight comforter would be far more comfortable for sleeping. Overall, we enjoyed the Encore, but I believe on our next visit, we will try another venue. Collapse

The hotel had customer service reps everywhere. However, we are not the type of folks that we need constant catering to. Preferred more luxury suite. The Tower Suites seemed extremely common to us two.

The hotel rooms are amazing, you don´t have to walk miles and miles to be on the strip, the mall is so close.. it is great for shopping and the hamburgers just in front of the hotel are the best. Sapphire is close, so thats... perfect. You have to try encore. Best rooms ever. You cant miss the buffet and dont forget to order the chilaquiles (with room service). Collapse
