We've been to DC a number of times - business, vacation, passing through to someplace else. We've stayed at an array of places, but never one like this. We're not sure this review is necessary. We stayed four nights and it appeared the place was packed the whole time. Encouraging people to stay here makes this review, I dunno...unnecessary. Check in was a breeze, except that our room wasn't ready. Okay, no problem. We were a couple of hours early. "See the sights, grab some lunch and we'll text you." Text me? Okay, that's totally awesome. They checked our bags and off we went, sightseeing, got a bite and an hour before check in time the page came. But, it wasn't some impersonal restaurant-style buzzer. It was a personal message from "our" desk staff, inviting us to stop in. The room was amazing. Fourteenth floor, view of the Capital - you can see by our profile how old we are. The middle of the night view of the Rotunda lit up...breathtaking. Even with a packed house the place was quiet enough that we never heard another soul way up there on our perch. Our bed was so comfortable we found it necessary to set an alarm. The breakfast bar was the usual Embassy Suites lavish, only... When they tell you that the restaurant area is busy during certain hours, believe them. Our usual wait in line for the buffet was 10 minutes. Monday morning at 0830, half an hour. There are a dozen TVs to keep your attention while waiting, but... CNN? I know it's DC, but I'd rather watch cartoons. Room service was awesome - pizza was enticing enough that the 12 year old in the party nibbled for 4 days. The guy called us after delivering the food and apologized for not opening the wine. Huh? Nice gesture, no worries. The evening reception - we never made it. Another long line. We headed to Cuba Libre for rum. But - location, location. Simply amazing. Easy walk to just about anything you'd want. Five blocks to catch the hop on/hop off. Six to the Metro. Seven to the Spy Museum. You get the idea. We came home from visiting our daughter in Maryland at nearly midnight. We thought - oh, boy. Sketchy. No! There were a ton of people out, like it was noon on a Saturday. We felt totally safe. I can't imagine staying anywhere else the next time we visit. Collapse

This embassy suites was well- suited for our needs. We were just two blocks from the convention center. The rooms were clean as usual and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very helpful with storing our bags until check in time and were pleasant about answering questions regarding dining, transportation and access to the various landmarks. We stayed for the first few days closer to the national mall but decided on embassy for the convention and weren't displeased at all. They have a fairly large workout facility with many cardio machines. They have a indoor lap pool and jacuzzi which the kids enjoyed. The breakfast buffet was very good with a hot line where we got quick made-to-order omelettes eggs potatoes and bacon. Coffee was always hot. There is a Starbucks across the street if you need a foo foo coffee ;) My only concern was there was a bit of street noise at sleeping hours with sirens going most of the night. I brought earplugs and obviously not management's fault. Just a heads up. Collapse

The hotel is in the heart of D.C. Using Uber was great way to get around. The hotel was nice and clean. The king size bed room had a lot of space. Separate living area with tv. The free breakfast was great. For the price I wish they had something as simple as a shower cap and maybe even a robe. The view was bad as it faced an office building. Staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. I would return Collapse

We have been staying at this Embassy Suites for 8 years with our students! The staff is phenomenal! The sales/event managers (Cortney Bell, Megan Quackenbush, and Patrick Goad were awesome to work with - they communicated well, are incredibly relational, and took time out of their busy schedules to visit during stay). They remember things about our group and me personally that help create a "sense of family" and cause us to want to keep coming back each year! The Embassy is in a great location - easy access to metro (a few blocks away) and the National Mall! It is safe, they have an awesome breakfast, and have amazing staff - Robby is a gem - he adds special touches to make us feel important and valued and is so good about remembering personal details to show that he cares about us. Margaret is awesome at the front desk, she is so kind, helpful, and makes things happen! Antonio, the concierge has remembered us all 8 years and has great advice on things to do and helps get you the information you need! Elvis and Deborah are great as well - such positive and fun people to greet you at the reception! We enjoyed having the suites as it provides more space! All in all this is a great place to call a home away from home. The staff value you as a guest and take time to add the extra touches to make your stay special. They also genuinely take an interest in our lives and remember things about us. I would highly recommend staying at the Embassy Suites! Collapse

The staff were nice. The breakfast was perfect many choices. Room Service was nice and also good. It is located in a great area walking distance to many things. Being able to wash clothes there also was a plus for my family. Great family location.
