We chose the Embassy Suites for proximity to a variety of spots in Philly for a three day visit. I would recommend it for those reasons and being recently updated throughout the hotel. The downside is cost of valet parking (your only choice) is high at $53/night. The lack of elevators (only three for a large/tall building) can make your wait time long. The continental breakfast in adjacent TGI Friday’s is fair (location needs a thorough cleaning). The best is the Mgr Reception in the evenings....the Mgmt staff was visible and talking with guests (something I don’t often see) and the mgmt sent me a welcome email on my first day looking for feedback and this allowed me to provide a concern about A/C unit and this was addressed quickly. I can tell this location is trying hard and I would recommend the location. Collapse

We stayed at the Embassy Suites in Downtown Philadelphia for a wedding in early October, & had five family members stay in the same suite. I knew of the Embassy Suite chain and knew the suites would be large enough, but was not prepared for how spacious this property actually was! It was a pleasant surprise! There was much room for the five of us without stepping all over each other. It was very clean and comfortable, not to mention the complimentary hot breakfast the next morning. Loved the who experience. The only downside I can think of was the slowness of the elevators. Outside of that our stay was very enjoyable. The valet parking was easy, but pricy. However I am used to metro costs for parking; others may not be. A new service is the digital room key option also; loved it, and it was my first experience with it. One negative we experienced was the lack of hospitality to fulfill the request for additional pillows for the sofa bed. Outside of that I was very pleased with our stay. I would recommend this to others. Collapse

I was staying at Embassy Suites on behalf of a company trip for a conference. This was the worst booking experience. It was more then 10 of us that was staying there and for some reason they couldn’t find our reservation that was made months ago. Then it took 15 minutes per person for them to check each of us in. This was around midnight so we were already tired since we had a 5pm flight from Texas. Once I tried to get in my room my key wasn’t working but then realized that someone was already in my room! It was one of my colleague. Every person should’ve had their own room which is what we paid for so we both were confused. After returning back to the lobby, a lady named Beverly informed us that no other rooms were available. Since they were all booked but we already prepaid for our rooms, the only option she gave me was to go to another hotel. What?! By this time I was upset since the company paid for our rooms and I had to be shipped to another hotel from my team and we had a early morning meeting. To apologize for the inconvenience she offered a $100 Hilton gift card which was supposed to be shipped me but I never received it and it’s going on a month later. This was the worse experience I had with a hotel from giving my room to someone else, shipping me to another hotel and then offering me gift that was never given to me. Chris, the night shift manager was great even though this experience was awful. I’m not sure what the issue was but Beverly didn’t deliver on her end and was nonchalant about the entire experience. My next visit to Philadelphia won’t be at this hotel. Collapse

Recently renovated hotel but we noticed some of the renovation work on our room seemed to be done sloppy and bathroom needed better cleaning. We stayed on a weekend and found the elevators were a disaster around breakfast and check out time. We waited 20 + minutes for an elevator. Breakfast was at the TGIFriday's located in the hotel, flow of restaurant was not conducive to the amount of hotel guest at breakfast at a peak weekend time. We had issues with the front desk and phone in our room did not work and addressed those with management who valued our feedback. Collapse
