My wife and I took a last minute trip to the Falls and decided on this hotel as it was somewhere we had never stayed before. Upon arriving a few hours before the 4:00pm check-in, not only were we able to check in right away, we were upgraded to the Presidential Suite. Awesome view of both falls, Jacuzzi tub and massage chair made this an unforgettable stay. Hotel stay included free breakfast buffet daily, as well as discounts at local restaurants and activities. Staff are friendly and the rooms are clean and well equipped. Getting down to the falls is a bit of a walk down the Murray St. hill, but the incline Railroad is always an option for about $5. Overall, a great experience at a great hotel. Definitely the best place for a quick get away. Collapse

An adequate hotel for business trip. Very good location, close to the falls and lots of restaurants. Very good valet attendants. Good maid service. Plenty of room in two room suite. Unfortunately poor lighting. Clean but the pillows not too comfortable. Nice touch with a free snack (a very limited selection) and a drink, in the early evening. The fallsview rooms facing the Canadian falls not too good - a side view of the falls with a front view of the next door hotel. Very basic breakfast. The most ennoying is the added "tourism improvement fee", in most establishments still optional but not at this hotel, plan for paying extra at theend of your stay. Collapse

I have been staying at Embassy Suites Fallsview for years. I always loved the staff, the rooms and of course the view. I had gotten a package deal for February 24-25th. I was away with 3 other friends for the night. I called thursday and asked about the exchange rate and asked for a figure with parking and understood the exchange rate could change at any time. We checked in and I asked the very pleasent girls what our exact amount WITH all the taxes and fees would be in Canadian and in American when we checked out. I was given two figures based on the exchange rate. We went to our room on the 40th floor. It was a corner suite and we were supposed to have a view of the falls as we usually do. The only way to see the falls was if you stood at the very right of the big window. Disapointed? Yes. I was going to call and ask to be moved however said it wasn't worth having to move everything and that the deal we got was decent and I didn't want to deal with moving luggage etc as 2 of us are disabled. We woke in the morning to find a bill that was MUCH higher than we were quoted. I called to the lobby and they looked up the bill and gave me an amount. I said "what is the 50 extra dollars? I was told by a man not to worry that it was the first amount. After breakfast we went down to pay cash. We were told that it was even more! We were frustrated and put it on a credit card after the agent just said "those are fees" and no help or concern for what I was going through. I left then decided to ask for a manager. The woman said sorry they are fees that CANNOT be removed by law. I said "I was told by an agent an hour ago via telephone that the amount was lower." She said "who?" long story short it was a young man that was a few stations over. I waited then asked him if he remembered speaking to me on the phone. He said YES. So, I got the manager and said "He remembers" She came over and this young representitive got all red in the face and was extremely nervous and TOTALLY denied giving me the price he did. He was obviously and completely lying! I actually felt bad for him because his boss was over his shoulder. On the phone I had actually asked him 2 times to be certain of this amount. The manager offered NO help and I was so disgusted I just shook my head and walked away. I will be contacting a higher up as I do not appreciate being lied to! We waited for our car (ALL of the staff outside were so friendly and accomadating! Very proffessional!) Please people if you are staying here get a quote IN writing. I have never had such issues before and am still upset. I know someone higher up in the ranks and will be calling them on Monday. Collapse
