My husband and I spent our 30th wedding anniversary in the presidential suite. The view was so much more than we imagined, well worth splurging on the more expensive suite with curved windows. We dined on filet mignon at the Keg, it was excellent! Being a very large hotel we felt overwhelmed by the many crowds of tour groups. But when we retreated to our "top of the world" suite we were able to relax and enjoy. We were disappointed that the staff didn't recognize our special event in some way, doing so would have made us feel like appreciated guests. Collapse

Manager Nawman checked us in. He mentioned that the highest floor that a third party reservation can get, such as hotels, expedia, booking, and so on, is 19th floor and below... from a 42-story building. If you want a higher floor with their so called "premium" view, he will make you upgrade for 50 dollars per night + taxes even if you made a "falls view reservation." Their "premium view" has a full view of the American falls, but in order to look at the horse shoe falls, you need to be 3 inches from the window and look 80 degrees to the right which is not really what they advertise at the front desk. I was not happy with the view we were given and found a very rude Mr Nawman who snatched the room key from my hand. They have an extra fee for everything you can imagine. Harmonized fee, improvement of tourism fee, parking for 60 dollars a night, 2 bottles of water + Internet for 25 dollars a night (which you may opt out if you don't use any of it), oh and their check out time is at 11 am, so if you want to check out say at noon, you guessed it, there is a late check out fee designed for you :). Overall, I gave this hotel 3 stars even after Mr Nawman's attitude as the views are good due to their location and they have a good breakfast buffet as all embassy suites. If you are looking for good views of the falls, this is probably among the best just beware of their management, hidden fees, and their policy of third party reservations. Collapse

The view was spectacular BUT bring your own water. $7.00 for a litre in the lobby. Bring you own snacks. Bring your own Beer. The elevators took a very long time each time. Wait time was 3 to 4 minutes. Take advantage of the room, because its pretty awesome. But once you leave your room remember you are in a Tourist Trap and you WILL PAY for anything you want to do. $60.00 plus taxes $70.00 to park.Says Valet but you have to take a bus to your car. Do some research, there are deals on parking to be had. The Casino will let you park for free if you eat and play there. The free breakfast was DREADFULL, Everything was cold. Eggs had no taste at all. PLUS if you want a window seat they gouge you $10.00. OUTRAGEOUS. The restaurant was packed except for window seats. We had to search for a table. SHAMEFULL Attitudes of some staff terrible. If you have a complaint they throw their arms up. "Hey, I just work here" Shame on you. That is no way to help a customer who may be upset. That happened 3 times to me. Once at the desk, once in the restaurant and once with the lady(questionable) at the Vallet parking claim desk. By that time, I was very upset with the hotel staff. However, the gentlemen in front taking your car were very good. One of them heard that I was upset about paying $70.00 to take a bus to my car, very graciously came up and asked if he could get my car. Very Nice!!! Talk to the locals about places to eat. The IHOP even with a coupon was over $60.00 for 2 for Breakfast. $27.99 for bacon and eggs and it was terrible. 2 Very thin slices of bacon you could see through. I recommend Chuck Roadhouse Bar at Lundy's Lane and Clark. Walking Distance. Excellent atmosphere, Staff and food. We both had steak and drinks and appetiser and it was so good and still cheaper than breakfast at IHOP (DONT DO IT) To sum up, the room was wonderful. I would go again, but BE PREPARED. I wont be gouged like that again!!!! Collapse
Great place to stay

Lovely hotels with stunning view of Canadian Falls. Recommended by friends and they were so right. Convenient to many attractions and helpful staff. The Keg was a great place to eat, especially arriving late in the day.

This was our first time staying at the Embassy Suites Fallsview. It was a great location for using the incline railway to get down to the falls (a bit of a hike otherwise) and for easy access to our race at Kingsbridge Park. Breakfast was delicious, and was a huge room to accommodate the large numbers of tourists staying at the hotel. It is very busy after 8am. All of the staff members at the hotel were very friendly - breakfast, front desk, valet, etc. We opted not to valet our car (CDN$60 per night) because they park it off site and then shuttle you to the car. And the shuttle won't accept bikes, which we had for our race. Instead, we used the self-park option for CDN$20 per night at the OK Gift Shop across the street. It worked perfectly. The elevators are very busy and are fast (but not fast enough). A couple of times, large groups swooped in as a door opened and fill up an elevator after we'd been waiting a while. It was not fun or polite. It would be much better if each elevator serviced a smaller section of floors so that the people higher up (which we were) had an opportunity to move quickly to their rooms. We upgraded to a king whirlpool with fallsview room, and it was worth it. The room was very spacious and had a great view. I recommend trying to get as high as you can for a best view (although beware the elevators). Collapse
