The hotel is reasonably priced in off season. The Fallsview casino is just a quick 5 minute walk down the street. The hotel is situated in a great location but the praise stops there. The hotel had the worst parking situation that I have ever experienced from any hotel that I have ever been to. We did not expect to run into what we experienced. So if you decide to go to this hotel, be prepared. A parking attendant came up to my car to give me a valet ticket. I asked if I could just go park myself, but he informed me that all cars are parked by an attendant. The mandatory "valet parking" offers you 2 choices. One is for onsite garage parking, the other is for some lot which they say you will have to wait for a shuttle and then be shuttled to. The parking fee was $35 for the offsite parking. On top of the parking fee they added $4.55 sales tax and $3.55 tourism fee. Totally outrageous. It was a nightmare getting our belongings into the hotel because there was no luggage cart available. We had to leave the keys in the car and then a valet took the car to a remote parking lot. When we wanted the car we had to pick up our keys from a grouchy woman at the valet area and then board a shuttle to take us to the remote lot where the car was parked (I think somewhere on Dunn Street). The hotel also claims they are not responsible for any belongings left in the car even though they are the ones who parked the car in a remote location. Leaving was another story. When we checked out, we thought the valet would bring our vehicle to the same spot where we disembarked. Nope, they told us that we had to get on a shuttle bus which would take us to our parked vehicle. With all of our belongings it was a nightmare, especially since we didn’t pack for this type of parking. I was given a $30 voucher at check-in because I had asked for two queen size beds and they gave me a king size bed instead. The voucher required the purchase of 2 dinner entrees and was only good at certain restaurants. The Keg entrees run $40-50, TGIF $20 for a burger with most entrees $30-$40. Ruth Chris Steakhouse pricing is crazy. The hotel is very large, 42 floors, and access to the rooms have considerable elevator wait time. Our room was on the 39th floor and the elevator wait time was horrendous. The elevator experience has made me vow never to stay at a high-rise hotel again. The manager’s reception is poor. Potato chips, pretzels, carrots, and dill pickles thrown in a bowl on a table. They give you one ticket good for one drink per person per day. The beer is served in a plastic glass and the wine barely drinkable. Not what I had come to expect from an Embassy Suites Hotel. The first day the reception was held downstairs off of the lobby with a male bartender who was not friendly at all. The second day it was held on the 9th floor with a female bartender. She was better. Breakfast is free for everyone which seems like a pro, but is actually a con - long lines, cold food and a super crowded and loud dining room. I had an omelet on the first day and it was very good. They would have also fried eggs. The rest of the food was typical hotel free breakfast fare - barely adequate at best. The Wi-Fi was hit and miss. Sometimes it worked well and sometimes it just quit. The room was nice. The tourist tax - I asked not to pay it and the girl that checked us in said as of April 1st it was mandatory. Well, it’s only mandatory because the hotel made it so. What a rip-off. Would I stay at this hotel again – No! It has even left a bad taste in my mouth for Embassy Suites. Collapse

We chose this hotel because it is centrally located among all the attractions related to the falls. However, everyone else is thinking the same thing, so the hotel is very crowded in mid-April, which is really not yet the high season. When checking in at 8pm, the lobby was mobbed. I felt like I was in mid-town Manhattan. The elevators are SLOW or not working properly because it was typical to have to wait 10-15 minutes before an elevator arrived. The breakfast was good - plentiful food, nice view in the dining room to enjoy the falls and good crowd control. They give each adult a drink per night at the afternoon snack time. This was fun for the family one afternoon because it was pouring rain so we sat in the bar area with the kids, played cards and enjoyed the pretzels and drinks. I was dubious about the mandatory off-site valet, but it was efficient and well-run. The room itself was spacious and well-appointed. Collapse

My wife and I book this hotel through a 3rd party site and when we received our bill at the hotel stay we had extra standard room charges of $22.25 per night added to our room. Not to mention the $35 parking per night and your vehicle is off site and you have to take a bus to get to it. Opposed to $5-$10 at neighbouring hotels and you have access to your car. The staff was pleasant and the room was clean. But if you like extra charges at the end of your stay this is the place. WE WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN. Collapse

We spent 3 nights and had a fabulous time. We upgraded to a falls view room. The view was unbelievable. We received a very nice breakfast buffet each day and a happy hour each night. The maid service was very good. One point. Beware of the parking. $60 per night full valet or $35 per night with a shuttle to offsite lot. We opted for the offsite lot and it worked out well, but it would have been much cheaper to park across the street for $15 per night or at the casino for $5 Collapse

We enjoyed a night away full of adult fun! Embassy Suites provided us with an amazing 40th floor fallsview suite complete with king size bed, large screen tv and modern massage chair! Modern decor felt very chic penthouse-ish with a prime view! Enjoyed complimentary cockails upon check-in both at the bar in the lobby and at the Keg, discount coupon for dinner at the Keg coupled with casino voucher and wine tour! Well well worth it! Parking was a bit pricey and the front desk staffer upon check out was not very pleasant. That was not necessary and did end our weekend with a sour note. Notwithstanding this incident, it was a great getaway that felt like a week away! Collapse
