Sure wish I would have read reviews for this Embassy before I stayed there. Others on trip advisor had tried to warn others. Here's the list of things that need improvement: 1) Parking by Valet is mandatory, and it's 42 dollars a day 2) Valet is stressed out, and rude 3) My room was not ready on arrival, and they told me I had to wait. So I sat in a chair in front of the front desk watching tv. After a few hours, they had not told me a room was ready, so I went to the front desk to find out they had forgot about me, so I was setting in the lobby for no reason. 4) Managers reception is the worst at any embassy suites. Nobody cleaning tables, no employees watching for kids putting there hands in the food, snacks consisted of potato chips and peanut butter dip (horrible) and the veggie choice was celery. Beer is given out in tiny glasses so you got to get back in the huge line time after time. 5) Housekeeping is fair at best. Elevators dirty. I was there for 4 days, and common hallway never vaccuumed. My room had never been vaccuumed from previous guest. 6) Hotel is old. Paint is in tough shape in the rooms. Smells of mold. Furnature straight out of Salvation Army Store. 7) Free breakfast is disorganized. Not enough help. One person cooking omlets on a hot plate with no vent fan, so the whole lobby smells of burning grease. Long lines. Poor food quality. 8) TV reception bad. They need to buy cablevision 9) Towels are scratchy. They need to buy some fabric softener 10) Calling the front desk is about impossible. They are so short staffed, that they let the phone just ring and ring. Lots of other hotels in the area. Try someplace other than here. :) Collapse

My family stayed for three nights and our room was clean pleasant. We had a balcony but that really didn't look at anything. The included breakfast what Great. The made to order omelettes were delicious. We enjoyed the happy hour one evening but it was a little crowded. The other nights we were out and about. We parked two blocks away in the Fulton Street lot because valet parking is pricey. There are restaurants in walking distance as is the World War II museum. This is in the warehouse district not the quarter. Our room has two queen beds and then the sitting area in the front which worked great for our family because my husband is a night owl, ahe didn't disturb the rest of us sleeping. We purchased through Priceline so I couldn't say anything about price or value. Collapse

Upon arriving there was a small issue with my reservation, not a hotel issue. The employee that worked my issue went to a manager and had a solution for me within minutes! I could not have been any happier. Their service exceeded my expectations!

If you like a great, free breakfast, this is the place for you. If you care about the temperature of your room, you might not want to stay here. It was a very warm 78 degrees in my room when I checked in late in the evening. I adjusted the thermostat so it would cool down, then went to bed. When I got up for my business meeting the next morning, it was still 78 degrees. I reported this to the front desk and asked them to please check the AC while I was out for my meeting. Two days later, the problem still had not been solved. I learned from neighbors on the 14th floor that AC had not been working for days. They had been told that there was no AC from the 8th floor up. On the positive side, the concierge was superb. Extremely helpful, cheerful, and full of great tips. I appreciated her help. The breakfast staff was at the top of their game, and I have never seen a more abundant spread. Bravo. But knowingly putting people in hot rooms with no AC is not a good idea. And pretending it isn't a problem isn't a good idea either. Collapse
