Chose Hotel Elite as good deal for our 3 night stay in Prague. Location was important and this hotel was about 100ft from the Metro stop and very close to Old Town, so was within easy walking distance of most attractions. We bought 90min travel ticket (32CZK) (lots of places in airport to buy , but used ticket machine in baggage reclaim area while waiting for bags). Easy, safe journey via 119 bus to green metro line followed by one stop on yellow metro - hotel is 50ft down street opposite Narodni Trida Metro exit. Took about 40-45 mins. Signs are easy to follow - I don't speak Czech. All for less than £1.50 (taxi is around £20). Check in was easy, reception is 24 hours, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet served 6:45am till 10 (11 on sun) was excellent. All food looking fresh and appetising. All plates etc clean and waiters attentive in clearing away. Choice of cereals, breads, fruits (tinned and fresh), yogurts, cooked (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages plus you could ask for fried eggs, omelettes from chef in breakfast area. Reception staff very good and helped us with directions to places we wanted to visit - you can buy the travel tickets there and they printed off instructions for getting there. They also arranged taxi, alarm call (free) and breakfast box (free) as we were catching a very early flight on last day. Hotel was very clean throughout and room was very comfortable. Hairdryer, soap, wash/shampoo towels provided. Very happy with the accommodation. The hotel also do a lunch which looked good, but we were always out in the day - so did not try. They do not do dinner but plenty of places nearby. This hotel looks a bit of a Tardis as it goes back a long way and a lot bigger than you originally think. They have an enclosed terrace inside. Lift is available to floors. Room had 2 (2 pin) sockets with 3 way extension on one. We stayed in March but radiators provided good heat so we were never cold. An excellent place to stay. We had no problems. Collapse

Second time we have stayed here and what a super little hotel. Great location near Old Town and Square but near the river and Castle. We walked everywhere. Jiri is great behind the bar and was so helpful. We had arranged a small surprise reception in the beautiful enclosed courtyard for a friends 50th and whilst the ladies were out shopping the men got the bunting and balloons up. Jiri kept the beer and bubbly coming and even got a small speaker to pipe in our friends favorite Prince songs. Breakfast is great too!!!!! Collapse

Perfectly situated for exploring Prague Old Town with excellent transport links just a few steps away. Everything is walkable if you wish as well. This really is a little gem of a hotel, with character and arched ceilings in abundance. Hotel staff are super friendly and do everything in their power to assist with your travel and trip needs. One thing I noticed is that despite working some pretty long shifts at times, staff always appeared happy to be at work. Elite was recommended to me by an expat Czech friend and we were not dissappointed. The rooms are big enough and very clean, with all the expected facilities (hair dryer, safe, mini bar) apart from a lack of in-room tea making equipment. You can take hot drinks from the cosy bar to your room if you wish. The popularity of this hotel means you need to book well in advance. Consider three months an absolute minimum. Rooms are non smoking but a courtyard smoking area is open 10am to 10pm, or you can step outside on to Ostrovni. The hotel serves a superb breakfast and has both a restaurant and well-being suite offering various massage therapies. The immediate locality is packed full of restaurants and bars. During our five night stay, we were barely able to scratch the surface. Whether you want traditional food, Italian, Thai, beer cellars, or adventurous cocktail experiences, it's all on your doorstep. I expect to visit Elite again Collapse

Excellent location, we didn't have to use public transport at all. The breakfast was excellent, the rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff organised a private shuttle service from/to the airport. We recommend it.

We had a lovely twin room on the first floor overlooking the garden. The rooms were spotless and cleaned to a high standard every day. Breakfast was a lovely buffet of hot and cold food which set us up for the day of sight seeing ahead. Prague is a beautiful city and the Hotel Elite is perfectly situated to reach Wenceslas Square, the river, the old town, etc. Thoroughly recommend this property to anyone visiting this charming city.
