Lovely unusual layout to the hotel and pool area. Very clean. Paths and pool area washed down every early morning. Restaurant area exceptionally clean, tables cleared and re laid very quickly and staff were helpful and chatty. Rooms refurbished but need a few alterations, only one wardrobe door on units which slides between hanging area and shelves and made dreadful noise when opened. Beds comfy and bedding changed 3 times on our 11 day stay. Towels changed when needed, drying rail on wall on balcony. Shower powerful so be careful, aim the head downwards and dont put full on otherwise it will flood the bathroom. Lovely hot water all the time. We were in room 311 top floor which was good for the sun until about 5.45 (january) No mugs in room but cheap to buy at Spar shop, we left ours behind. Hire a kettle for 10 euros and remote for tv 5 euros which you get back when leaving. TV not worth watching just used for bbc world news. Fridge with small freezer compartment, small electric hob and microwave. Safe in wardrobe free to use. Floors are tiled throughout and can be slippy when wet. Plenty of electric sockets. 3 chairs and table on balcony. Wifi is a bit hit and miss in the rooms, better in reception. I used wifi in the cafes and bars in the small shopping area by the beach. Beach is beautiful, lots of sunbeds and Pescera cafe a lovely place to eat and drink. Food in hotel was good, lots of choice but often only warm. Toasters slow (think they are everywhere!) Restaurant staff wonderful. Drinks in bar seem watered down and cheap, but the gin and tonic was ok. Entertainment was a bit poor, but varied and often quite funny. Suneo staff absolutely brilliant with the kids, and adults! Tima, Jello, Claire and Sophie were excellent and deserve a spelcial mention. Games everday for the families at the poolside. Games rooms just outside through entertainment room plus gift shops, hairdressers and a Spar. We bought shampoo etc when we got there. Cactus Jacks is good for live music. About 7 mins walk to beach. Plenty of excurions to go on. Book through travel shop, works out cheaper sometimes. Drag Show evening at Puerto del Carmen is fantsstic with a meal included and transport.(booked this through Thomson day we arrived) limited spaces! We did Fire Mountain trip and Manrique and Cactus Gardens.. both fantastic. Thomson reps very helpful. Didnt see any ants in room as someone in another review mentioned! Just a collared Dove that visited everday! Lots of cats and kittens around the hotel, so sometimes you could smell tom cat pee in the gardens, but as i said earlier it is hosed and brushed down EVERY morning. we had a great time, just wish the weather had been a bit better, always a windy place in morning. Luck of the draw! Would go back but at a hotter time of year. Pools too cold for me to get in! About 20 mins from airport. Beautiful seafront walk to the right of beach takes you a long way, lots of cafe stops. Especially Mannys cafe along this walk.. iced coffee and muffin! Bus to Arrecife and Puerto del Carmen every 10 mins from main road opposite shopping area by beach, outside lanzarotte gardens hotel.. number 3. About 2.40 euros one way to Arrecife. Hope this helps you have a good holiday at El Trebol. NO lifts.. outside steps to floors (only 3 floors) Collapse

Arrived 9th of January for a weeks holiday and found reception staff friendly and helpful. We were given a choice of which floor we wanted to stay on and we asked for the middle floor with a nice view. Our room was clean and overlooking the pool, the balcony was a sun trap on days which were windy and we had maid service 6 days out of seven. I would recommend a bottom floor room for more elderly people if you get offered a choice as there are no lifts, stairs are not a problem for us, but my husband had to do a second trip to carry my suitcase. There are TVs in the lounge area of your room, but you need to go to reception for a hand set and leave a deposit of 10 euro which is refundable once you hand it back. We found food to be very good lots of fresh fruit and salad, chicken, fish and pork. There is also a microwave if you like your food pipeing hot, as I do. Full cooked breakfast as well as pancakes cereal and ham, cheese's. The pool area is lovely and staff are always cleaning, and tending to the surrounding grounds . Drinks by the pool are In plastic glasses, but in the bar and restaurant they provide glasses. The hotel is only a 5 minuet brisk walk to the front, and there are a few shops to look round. There is a lovely walk to the headland and larger shopping area and plenty of areas to sit and look at the sea. The only thing that I feel let's the hotel down is the entertainment which didn't start till 9.30. Children were running around in the main entertainment room with nothing to do. I feel they need to start the children's entertainment around 7pm and then have adults entertainment around 8.30. I don't mind doing the odd quiz, but as they repeated ever question in English and french it seemed to take forever and stopped being enjoyable. Overall this was a good hotel, nice rooms, clean and very good food. Collapse

Rooms have recently been refurbished but only had one wardrobe door, and no draws anywhere, meant they never looked tidy. Wi-fi only worked occasionally and kept throwing you out. We stayed for 11 days and bedding was never changed. We were on the 3rd floor (no choice offered) and there was no lift. Food plentiful, but often cold, and the food hall was like a canteen. Children were allowed to run around it without supervision. The only plus points were the location and the fact that the staff were efficient and helpful. We will not be back! Collapse

First time to lanzarote . Just got back from a weeks all inclusive holiday. Hotel lovely, room spotless ground floor facing the pool bar. Food good , cater for everyone. Staff friendly and helpful especially the Thomson Reps who are constantly on the go. Alcoholic drinks not too good so ventured out to the nearby Ferraris bar and the swan inn. Great beer in both and I believe the food in Ferraris bar is good. Beach is a short walk away with a small shopping centre and bars. Mostly the area is flat but there is the odd hill. Bus fares cheap, went to peurto del carmen, plenty of shops but very hilly side streets. Taxis really cheap, used them every other day to take us up to the higher end of costa teguise as it's hilly getting there. Lovely place to stay, very windy though. Short trip from the airport to the hotel. Collapse

Myself my partner and 2 girls aged 12&8 stayed here Aug 2016 when Thomas Cook run it, it was the 1st holiday abroad as we have always camped. After booking i started to read reviews and wondered if we had made a big mistake booking here. The refurbishment had already started when we arrived and our room (166) was lovely, big bathroom, bedroom, modern furniture, the pull out bed however was not new and was so uncomfortable. The choice of 4 pools was fantastic, my girls loved them, we spent many days throughout the 2 weeks poolside, aside from parents allowing their children to run riots with bad behaviour we loved our stay here. The pools are cold but in the summer months it was welcomed as it was so hot, The food was fantastic we all ate well as there was so much choice. Again kids running riots in the food hall with no discipline from their parents is my only fault, but thats no reflection on the hotel. We didnt really stay alot for the evening entertainment as we found it very boring and repetitive, the reps however worked constantly from 10am until 11pm. The entertainment room is far to small for the volume of people the hotel caters for, so we went out alot. Cactus jacks around the corner was fantastic, quiz nights, staff were fab. It is a 3* hotel and thats what you pay for. Please book elsewhere if your expecting more. Overall our holiday was fabulous. Collapse
