Firstly I am going to address some of the complaints made in earlier reviews. One thing about going to a holiday complex that really annoys me is Brits going abroad and expecting Britain to be there waiting for them, this is Spain, it's a different country, if you want Britain so bad then stay at home, simples! My kids are all grown up now, but when they were kids my idea of "Kids food" was exactly the same food as the adults get but in smaller portions, people have complained there is no choice of kids food, yes there is plenty of choice as long as you consider things other than nuggets and chips as kids food also a point to note in the week we were there we didn't see a single undernourished child starving to death. The food was of a standard I would expect for a 3 star resort and exactly what I would expect given the price I paid, maybe it's me, but I don't expect champagne service for orange squash prices. The restaurant staff were extremely friendly and extremely helpful, at home I have a fairly low salt diet and in all these places they tend to cook with a lot of salt, however unlike some downright rude and ignorant people I bothered to learn enough Spanish to be able to get what I wanted and asking the staff who were "show cooking" to cook my portion without salt was straight forward and greeted in a friendly manner and they went out of their way to oblige me. Same with the reception staff a friendly greeting to them In Spanish works wonders, they reciprocate and can't do enough to help you. Rooms were very clean, very clean indeed, our room didn't have aircon (OMG how had the human race survived for 1000's of years without it?) the answer was really simple, a quick jaunt to the local shops and a fan purchased for less than 10 euros. I would definitely stay here again. Oh and for those that complain there is nothing to do when it rains, there is a whole beautiful island out there ready and willing to offer you lots to do, how about you get off your backsides and go and explore it? Sunbeds chained up till 10 am?, there's a beach just across the road. Collapse
So much better than expected

We have just returned from a great week at this hotel. We had been a little worried after reading some of the latest reviews ( although it had fab reviews when we booked it in March) we always go on holiday with an open mind especially if the reviews on T/A change as we know some people have very different expectations. We had no complaints what so ever about the food, there was plenty of choice for each meal even breakfast had about everything you could possibly think of and IF the food wasn't hot enough then there was a microwave. We enjoyed all are meals, there have been comments about the snack bar, but we eat that well that we couldn't have possibly eaten snacks. We spoke to a couple from Wales who also had concerns after reading T/A reviews but told me they thought the food was lovely and also had no complaints. The comments about the staff are correct, all staff from cleaners to bar staff are friendly. The bar area and pool is kept immaculate, the evening entertainment was quite good from what we saw but we chose to go out in the evenings as my sister and brother in law was staying further down in Adeje so we met up with them most nights. There is a bus stop and taxi rank right outside the apartments which is very handy and the market is right opposite ( Thursdays and Saturdays) its a big market so go early as it does get very busy but it is only on from 9-2. The supermarket downstairs is very handy, we bought wine to take back to our room and was surprised at how nice the wine tasted considering it was so cheap. There is also a car hire in the small mall downstairs where people with mobility problems can hire the motorised disabled buggies , we didn't realise it was there until the last day of our holiday, these are very popular in Adeje and can be hired from as little as 20 Euros a day. There was no issues with sunbeds, there was plenty of these around the pool. While our room was very spacious it did not have a good view we were in block (I) and on the ground floor which had its own problems especially when the lady above decided to walk around in heeled shoes at 6.15 in the morning, if she was trying to get her 10 thousand steps a day in then I think she managed that before 7.00am!!. My only complaint about the room would be that the bed is probably the worst I have slept in. The patio area was not very private, however this didn't cause us any problems. The bathroom was large and had a fabulous shower it was really powerful. Block ( I) was very close to the restaurant and bar which was handy for my husband who has walking difficulties. The kitchen area in the apartment is well equipped but like other comments I was surprised there was no kettle, but after reading previous reviews I took a travel kettle, although there is a coffee filter machine so I guess we could have used that just to boil water. Costa Adeje is lovely so explore, El Mirador bar is a good place to sit and have a drink and people watch and is about a 15 minute walk away. would I go back to this hotel? Yes I would. Collapse

Just returned from a week all inclusive. On arrival we were told that the studios were over booked so we were very happy to be upgraded to a suit which was amazing. First night when we tried to get a bottle of water we were told if we wanted a bottle rather than a glass we would need to pay. We told the bar men who were great, Pedro and jav, this was fine. It was however not that simple. We had to go to reception and start a tab.... which had to be no less than 50 euros and paid upfront. Two days later when I tried to close the account and get my 46 euros back was a struggle having to show receipts etc even though the receptionist had all the details in front of him on the computer screen???? To put on the tv you again had to go to reception where you had to leave a deposit for 20 euros before being given a remote control. On the positive side however the hotel was very clean and the food for an all inclusive was great (although no after noon snacks were offered, apart from cake which was left over from lunch, I think). Hotel was situated a good distance from beach, shops and bars and would not be suitable for the less able as to get to these areas you were required to go down and obviously back up steep hills. Taxis however are cheap and local bus stops are immediately outside hotel. Most of the other guests were in an older age bracket than myself (47) not sure if this was due to the time of year but would not recommend others looking for a hotel with a bit of life or if you were not willing to stay away from areas where others had been sunbathing before you got there, very territorial Collapse

when we arrived I was pleasantly impressed, the apartments were very spacious and clean, the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, it has such a relaxed laidback feel to the place, everything you could want is close by and if you go self catering there is a shopping centre just outside the gated area, I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here it was certainly well worth the money and I would stay here again, Collapse

This hotel has its good & bad points to be fair . Rooms are very basic but clean , no air-con just a fan which could fly off the wall at any moment . The pools are very good , one family pool & one quiet pool . The hotel is in a nice area of Costa Adejè . The waiters & waitresses are very good , top class service ! Top waiter is Pedro , always a joy to chat with . The food is not even basic , its a very poor standard , not much choice & never hot , i would recommend to go bed & breakfast & eat out . So dont expect the best , i will not be returning here . Collapse
