We came with two small kids (4 and 7) and had amazing three days in the park. Because we stayed at the Efteling Hotel for two nights we had three unlimited days in the park (including ability to enter 30min before it opens to the wider audience!) so each day we did something in addition (Rotterdam, Utrecht etc.). Many surprises for kids, 3min walking from the park, great catch. Collapse

WOW. Sorry, that’s an understatement. This hotel is fantastic, me and my family stayed in a 3 person comfort room. You’d think that would be small, crappy bathroom, beds and a desk with not a hairdryer to its name. WRONG. This room was massive and one of the nicest, if not the nicest I’ve stayed in, in any hotel. Two king sized beds with a grand headboard with the Efteling logo on it. A massive wardrobe with a safe and mini-bar - that was really reasonably priced. The tv was hidden sneakily behind a mirror that opens up to reveal it. The en-suit bathroom was beautiful with a lovely big bathtub (plenty of bubbles). So that’s the room, but now, the hotel. First of, the lobby. Again, WOW. This place is like a place. You are warmly welcomed by the friendliest staff you will ever have at a hotel. They’ll book you in in no to time with a friendly smile on there face and anything you ask they will most likely be able to help you with. Now, the restaurant. It is stunning, truly dining in style! The breakfast options are wide, so much to choose from. And the quality is outstanding. You will have no problem finding something you like. Finally the bar, the bar is lovely and open to late, with snacks being served until 11. Again the staff are delightful and couldn’t be happier to help (don’t forget to leave a tip). Leaving this hotel was emotional, it brought a tear to my eye. It was a truly beautiful experience and would highly recommend it to anyone. For my review of the Efteling Theme Park, stay tuned! The rooms are really magical, little hidden fairytale props and a free story book on arrival. We had opportunity to use reception this trip as the vet we had booked cancelled our appointment due to an emergency. We urgently needed to book so that our dog Max could get his tablet for return home. They did all the work on our behalf, ringing around and conversing with vets, and within an hour we were on route and sorted. Excellent service, great hotel. Collapse

Me and my partner have visited many theme parks and their hotels in Europe but this was our first time at Efteling Hotel. Check in was reasonably quick and staff we're friendly and polite. Check in was at 3pm so we went into the park for a bit and came back. Upon entering the suite we we're greeted with a nice open plan room which at first glance was lovely however on closer inspection the room had too many flaws for a room at this price (£960) The carpets hadn't been vacuumed nor had the surfaces been dusted for awhile. The cupboard doors had handles missing then onto the bathroom - the room had twin rain showers but these we're covered with thick limescale and had never been cleaned! We spoke to reception to let them know we wasn't happy and was told the room would be cleaned again at 6pm whilst we we're out, unfortunately this didn't happened so the next morning I spoke to reception again and was given a VIP fast track for one ride only which wasnt really adequate considering the money we had paid to stay and clearly improvement needs to be made on these level of rooms. The only plus was we had a mini bar with complimentary beer and wine in our room. Sadly we won't return and stay there again. Collapse

A quick overnight stay while visiting the park. The staff here are fabulous- really accommodating. Our room was comfy and we had a great sleep. The self service restaurant was however manic in the morning with families getting ready to go to the park. There are two time slots for breakfast- it's worth asking for the earlier one to avoid the mayhem at 9! Collapse
