We arrived around 12 noon...quite confused as the apartments are not attached to the reception...there was no real indication of this before we came but it wasn't too much of an issue. However we were not informed that the check in time was 5pm prior to our arrival...When we first went to reception we got told the room would be ready in an hour or 2, which wasn't ideal but we didn't grumble....instead we went out to a local bar and went back and asked to be told it was still not ready yet...that it wouldn't be ready till 5pm now...so overall, not a great start to our morning, especially after an early flight! We also had to pay €50 deposit per person for damages etc, which also we were not informed it was per person...so be aware of this! If you're in a large group you may get stung! You also have to pay €5 per day for the wifi which is only for 1 device so if you are bringing a large family, we would not recommend it as you will have to pay for wifi per each device. Now time for the apartment.. the fun part! Once we got into the apartment we were pleasantly surprised, it had exceeded our expectations! The living room was quite tidy and well presented and the bedrooms okay! It wasn't anything special but it was enough for what we were looking for, which was just somewhere to keep a roof over our heads each night. But the bathroom was an absolute shambles! There was mould on the shower curtain and there was cracked tiles all around the bath. Not to mention the fact there was no plug in our bath, the shower head didn't stay on the holder, so you had to hold it. I'm sorry, I know they say "you get what you pay for" but this is ridiculous. You pay for these facilities...they should at least work properly and should have some form of standard. Wouldn't recommend staying here at all! There was a bag dumped in our room with sheets and towels that were not changed or replaced during our entire two week stay. There was no maid service at all during the entire two weeks either! We had to purchase washing up powder to wash them ourselves, which wasn't entirely convenient! Pool is quite small and wasn't very well kept and there is only four sun loungers...but that wasn't an issue for us as we just went to the beach instead! The last day wasn't too pleasant either. We had an early flight, so the night before, we went around our apartment and tidied it from top to bottom...wiping the tables, washing the floor, emptying all the rubbish etc...we left our apartment in a very respectable state and even tidied again before we left at 6.30 in the morning. We handed in the keys and expected our deposit back. Only to be greeted by a rude receptionist who went and checked the room and told us we had broke the fridge, and left rubbish all over the apartment. The rubbish was a bottle of water and a toothbrush that we had missed. We had to plead with him to let us back in to get rid of this "rubbish" so we could get our deposit back. Which we eventually did get back, but only after being made to feel very, very small by an arrogant receptionist. Will mention, however there was a very well mannered and polite member of staff who seemed to be based in the Zahara apartments...he looked liked the maintenance guy. He always greeted us with a smile! Not enough to convince us to come back though! Awful all around. Collapse

Went for a long weekend to surprise a family member on their birthday (they were staying elsewhere). The information provided in advance did not state we could only check in at 5pm so we sat in a bar around the corner for 4 hours. (We were unable to keep our room on at the end of the stay also). We had to place a €50 deposit per person for breakages/damage. (If they do take this off people they don't use it to make good the property as we had male appendages drawn on the wall amongst other bits of graffiti that could easily be painted over) Our apartment (No 120) had no air conditioning but having been up since 3am we were certain we wouldn't have a problem sleeping with doors and windows open for ventilation. Unfortunately for us on the opposite side of the road was a large nightclub the problem was the noise of the revellers when they left around 4-6am many appeared to hang around afterwards their were lots of heated arguments, chanting/singing groups and racing vehicles. I am not a light sleeper, my other half sleeps like a log and my brother lives above a night club but we were woken every night of our stay but without aircon it was too warm to close the windows and doors. No loungers at the pool so couldnt catch up on sleep whilst sunbathing. We went out during the day and would have a quick dip on return and to this end the pool was fine. We were given 4 small threadborn towels between us which weren't changed during our 4 night stay. The slats came out of the single beds and the mattresses were of poor quality. The location is the only thing going for this apartment, it's close to bars, beach, park and fountain. I'm glad I was only staying for 4 nights any longer sleep deprivation would have set in. Apartment in OK condition, good location, was spacious, big balcony. First day- we get a 100 euro fine for 'being too noisy and swimming in the pool at 9:30am when it opens at 10am, without warning', despite the door to the pool being open. We were told that we need to read the t&cs of the place before we arrive. We felt that since it was our first day we should've gotten some leeway or a warning. This I felt was a disgrace. They were openly trying to catch us out especially when we weren't even that noisy. Collapse

Just came back from a two week stay here and can't wait to book again Apartment was good quality clean and spacious beds very comfy kitchen adequate bathroom adequate had a balcony with table and chairs for relaxing and watching the people below The pool was very good and it was quiet and peaceful unlike some others around us as the apartments are mostly private owned they were mostly only used at weekends so during the week we had the pool to ourself only down side is there is no sun beds or chairs you have to bring your own so we bought three cheap blow up beds fantastic time had by all would defiantly recommend this one Collapse

Stayed here a while back. Rooms were large enough for the family. Nice balcony, sun on it all day. Good base for a self catering holiday as was close to the Main Street. Beach was a few minutes walk away, lovely beach with parks every few hundred metres. Plenty of shops and bars around. Very close to the theme park which our kids enjoyed. Also near the train station, we took a train to Barcelona as the kids wanted to visit the football stadium and the zoo. Great holiday had by all. Collapse
