What a lovely hotel. One of the best I've stayed at in Majorca. Firstly the resort is lovely, so pretty and picturesque with lots of lovely restaurants. The hotel is ideally situated in the centre of the town right on the small but lovely beach. Hotel Eden has lovely, helpful and knowable reception staff. They can help with maps, walks, where to eat etc. The hotel is very clean and decor is to a high standard. Our room was comfortable but a little too hot at night. Just wish they had coffee on the room.. The view from our room was amazing - think a sea view costs more. Breakfast was a Buffett and was very good indeed, lots of choices and great quality. Pool area wasn't too busy and was great to relax by. I'm pretty fussy with hotels because I travel a lot but hotel Eden was great quality. If love to return here with my family and think they would also love it here.. so I'd definitely come back to the resort and from I've seen of other hotels here I'd recommend Eden above the others. Port de Soller is a lovely spot and Hotel Eden was very good. Only criticism of the room is that we could have done with a full length mirror. The breakfast buffet was fantastic as was the buffet evening meal. Rooms clean and comfortable. Staff very pleasant. All amenities in Port de Soller really good. Good walks (easy and harder), tram a nice novelty. Nice beaches. Our room had wonderful view over pool, beach and port. Plenty of eating places. We shall definitely go there again. Collapse

I read some of the previous reviews and can only surmise that not all rooms are the same. We were booked in to the sister hotel Eden Nord with Jet 2 holidays and when we arrived the manager offered us a free upgrade to the Eden which is 4 star. Like the other reviewer this was a No Brainer as a quick booking com search showed the Eden was £45 a night more expensive. Our concern was that the sister hotel was not a Jet 2 hotel and were worried about our private transfer. We got to Eden and the reception had been informed about our dilemma they were helpful and even offered to phone Jet 2 on our behalf but I preferred to do it myself. Maria was very helpful indeed they may not be super smiley because they are very very busy and always dealing with something. We were very happy with the size of the room it was big and light and obviously just renovated. Agree with one review our air con never worked and the bathroom door accidentally locked itself and we had to pick the lock!! But think these are snagging issues as it's so new. I agree about the sound proofing every time people were up really early getting cases to lift you could hear every noise but I just put ear plugs in! Rooms on back are in the shade so don't get much sun. Pool really nice and never busy. Cleaners were excellent beds and towels done every day. It's not really a Brits hotel we were only one of a handful of Uk tourists as the majority were German hikers but that did us a favour really, as they were all up early and out walking straight after breakfast which meant we could always get a sunbed by the pool. Leny the waitress was super helpful and always smiling. Half board meals are good great choice of food, drinks reasonable as well. The only negative is the bar is so quiet that there is no atmosphere, and god knows where all the Germans go after dinner they certainly don't go to the bar and we didn't see them in the town. We chose to sit by the Marina as there is live music there every night by Brendan McCann and he was pretty good! Collapse

This hotel has recently been renovated, and upgraded to 4 stars. The location is great, on the seafront at Port Soller, and the renovated bar ,lounge and dining area are very pleasant. There is a pool (only other amenity) which is nicely kept (but no towels supplied for the loungers) Dining is buffet style and is acceptable..but certainly not excellent The rooms however are not acceptable in my opinion. I booked a standard double room which I expected would give me good accommodation even though a single traveller. Not cheap at 135 pounds sterling a night (half board). However.. the room was extremely small ( measured it at 10 feet wide and 10 feet long) With 2 single beds this meant that there was hardly any other room left...no room for a chair...and if you. Wanted to watch the TV..you had to lie on the bed. !!!! Very limited storage place. There was a very small balcony which never saw the sun!!! When staying...and paying for a 4 star Hotel...you expect to have a comfortable and pleasant room since you do spend some time in it. This is not the case and I would not rcommend this Hotel with such limited space rooms. It is not a 4 star hotel!!! Collapse
