Soller is beautiful, lovely beach and everything else. The Eden Hotel is right on the prom, just a step away from the beach even fewer steps to bars and restaurants. The welcome was lacking more functionalI think is the most appropriate word. The first impression of the actual building clean, tidy and very tastefully decorated. The bar area is nice and most of the staff friendly and helpful. The evening entertainment is dreadful. The rooms are light airy, simply decorated with TV, a Proper hairdryer ( best hotel hairdryer EVER), a safe, a good bathroom with all the normal amenities. There is a kettle in room with a selection of teabags BUT NO COFFEE ! Why? You get a welcome selection, two bottle of water, some canned olives and some strange biscuit. Note: these are not replaced , they are simply a welcome, very disappointing for this standard of hotel, you get better at a travel lodge or premier inn! Breakfast was ok, plenty of fresh fruit breads cheese, eggs and omelettes freshly prepared. We ate in the hotel a couple of times and this was reasonable, quite predictable really. Cleaning of rooms is random to say the least, keep your bag shut or you'll find the cleaners dusters stashed there! This could be so much better there were only a handful of staff who made you feel welcome Collapse

Received warm welcome - we had booked superior room and were upgraded to a corner superior room with sea view on 2nd floor - 207. Spacious room with large balcony and stunning view of the pool, beach and boats. Modern room decor and quality bathroom. Huge bed which was very comfy with choice of pillow. We found it very quiet and slept well - Air conditioning worked well. Breakfast good choice - apart from cheap ' orange juice' and awful coffee- not up to 4 star. Receiption area of hotel very pleasant and light and nice bar area. Pool warm but sunbeds bit crammed in and not enough umberellas - imagine is a fight for sunbeds in peak season but was fine in June. Pool / beach towels provided for a deposit. Good live entertainment on several evenings - saxophonist was quality and Flamenco authentic. Towels and a shower available after checkout until you depart. Small sandy beach directly opposite across pedestrianised road where tramway runs along to Soller - we enjoyed the ride and found Soller very pretty with nice boutique and artisan shops. Port Soller is peaceful, relaxing and not overcommercialised - great choice of fabulous restaurants at varied prices . If you want to chill and enjoy a lovely rest in a beautiful bay at a great hotel this is the place for you. Will definitely stay at the Eden again. Collapse

We have stayed at the Eden many times and have always enjoyed it. We were very impressed with the upgrade. As always we were treated very well, being greeted by the staff like 'old friends'. Reception were very helpful and on this occasion without question resolved an issue with our reservation - the fault lying with the booking company. The restaurant staff are always friendly and deliver efficiently and always with courtesy. Food choices were varied something for everyone. The upgrade includes so many things, it would be difficult to list them. We will definitely return. It's location is perfect in Porto de Soller, looking right out into the bay. Collapse

We stayed here for a few days end of march beginning of April. Weather good, room comfortable and Hotel well appointed. The room on the 6th floor had an excellent sea view, and was in a fairly new section. There was some noise from a nightclub nearby, which would probably be louder in the summer months. One night there was a fierce wind outside which 'moaned' loudly in the corridor all night, and just in the corridor, because I went downstairs in the middle of the night to ask about it and it was quiet downstairs.. We thought this could have been caused by a spiral tubular metal fire escape up the side of the hotel causing some sort of turbulence. Maybe a lower room would not have this phenonomen. So take your ear plugs just in case! Beach just across the road, which is pedestrianised, the only vehicles that we saw being police cars and the train, which travells up to the old village of Soller. Collapse
