My fiancee and me were unlucky to spend a night here. We were upgraded to roof and back of Eden sign view. Booked for a double mattress but the reception confirmed they only have single beds (lie). There is no bath in the bedrooms. The room was freezing and not sound proof. You could clearly hear every single guest carrying their luggages in the corridor from 5.00am. Pillows literally felt like they were made out of cactus. Huge breakfast selection but very poor quality. Juices were undrinkable... I was definitely expecting something different from a refurbished 4 stars hotel. Staff in complete denial when we communicated our issues. The only positive point: very kind Bartender and good cocktails. Collapse

Firstly, despite everyone bragging about the location, i'd like to point out that the pool & location are THE ONLY THINGS going for this place. The place is a CHEAP version of everything. The Pillows - 1 Pillow each & they are body pillows extremely flat. Double beds dont exist in the place - 2 singles put together. If you are booking on Bookings.com DON'T BE FOOLED. The Breakfast - Yes, its a huge selection of CHEAP food put together. You only have to start looking at how many people leave their full cups of juice behind on the tables to understand what i'm talking about.. We got 'upgraded' - No, we got moved to Room 111, which is a view of the back of the Eden Sign & a skylight. It was horrible. Not only this - it was situated 30 centimetres from the stairwell, where we could hear EVERY SINGLE PERSON walk up & down ALL NIGHT. Dragging suitcases from 6am - Again, it was a bad experience. Also, Room 102 & 103 would have the same problem. They call these rooms - Superior with a view - Nothing superior about them! They are basic at best. The Showers - Careful, water goes everywhere. Again a CHEAP version of a hotel not using proper shower facilities. The TV - Is situated on the side walls not in front of the bed, so you can't watch the TV proper without laying on your side. The Rooms were freezing and the Aircon cannot be set higher than 23 degrees. (Thanks for the extra blanket in the cupboard for my arctic, it was warmer on my terrace looking at the skylight) Above all, when I told the lady at reception about all these simple points SHE COULDN'T EVEN SAY SORRY. She was shocked that our 'Superior Room' wasn't good enough & just stood their staring at me. The customer service was shocking and we will never ever return. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ITS NOT WORTH A CENT. I WISH WE NEVER BOOKED. Walking along the promenade there are so many other better cheap and more decent places, I will book on my return. Collapse

We were booked as a party of 15 at this hotels sister, the Eden Nord which is located a few hundred metres away. On arrival we were advised that we had an option to upgrade to the newly refurbished Eden, which was four star and located on the front facing the bay! - a no brainer really! So we found ourselves in a newly refurbished smelling fresh Eden with fabulous views and sun shining onto the balcony. Room was great and clearly just done up. Plenty of room, good facilities, walk in shower/wet room which needs a little work. Food (we only had breakfasts) was superb with a vast choice - had to limit myself to four course breakfasts each day and still never covered the choice! Pool looked lovely but was reportedly freezing cold - but it was March! Only let down for us was returning to hotel for the last hour or two and enjoying a few games of pool with friends was to be cut very short by stopping serving and turning off lights - not very welcoming and letting down an otherwise great effort from staff in room, reception and restaurant! Was it worth it? - you bet! But we definitely did not pay full price. That was paid by mainly Germans on a half board basis who no doubt paid much more. Having said that I believe dinner was only 14 euro and on a quick walk round looked very good. A hotel trying hard - and succeeding (apart from the bar service) Collapse

Been to these hotel a couple of times, returning this year, such a welcoming place, lovely staff. It has recently undergone a refurbishment. Port de Soller is a wonderful place to visit with wonderful restaurants. I just love it.
