My husband and I got a so called double room. The room had a double bed with one side up against the wall, exit and entry was difficult for two Senior Citizens. The room was very small with the TV on the dressing table, which was in the opposite position of the bed. Not that we watched it as the only English Channel was BBC World News. We did have a lovely view, but would not go back to this hotel as it will double in price once it receives 4* status. Collapse

Disappointing single room with poor air conditioning that did not go below 21 degrees and had seen better days really needs to be refurbished - although the hotel itself was very clean and reception bright and airy. Sadly for me on holiday on my own the hotel seemed to cater more for the German holidaymaker, with very little or no information about the area or its amenities in English. The pool area despite having no reserving of sun beds was overflowing with towels before breakfast, so trip to the beach for me, which was great. I loved Port Soller and will definitely be coming back but not to the Eden although situated in a prime position . Collapse

As has been mentioned by many other TA reviewers, this hotel is a real gem. Great location, great staff, clean and tidy at all times. Beds very comfortable, good shower over the bath, and rooms good size. We arrived around midnight and were delighted to find they had a lovely mixed salad, rolls and bottled water awaiting us in restaurant. Nice touch, Eden hotel and much appreciated. We hired a fridge, room safe and pool towels. Breakfast was OK, bacon not just cooked long enough for our tastes, but there was plenty of fruit, cereals, breads, cold meats, eggs, cheeses, etc. The evening buffet was very good. Great selection of salads and a soup kettle. Good variety of fish like hake, cod, salmon, sea bass, sword fish, and chicken and turkey, pork, roast beef. Plenty of vegetables, pastas, rice, potatoes. Certainly nobody would go away hungry. Location of this hotel is super, right on the bay. Lovely to look out over the sea and marina and the little wooden tram running around the bay and then up to Soller. The friendly staff made our holiday a really lovely experience and I'm already looking forward to a return visit. Collapse

Port de Soller is beautiful, and the Eden Hotel is very central on the promenade. Facilities were being upgraded, Photos in reception showed the planned renovations that are to be ready for Summer 17, which will bring a modern look to the rooms. The view from the pool was superb, could easily just chill, read a book and enjoy the beach from your seat. Reception was very helpful. Entertainment was on 5 nights per week. We visited in August. Air con was great, breakfast was plentiful, with good choices. We didn' t eat there in the evening, there were so many appetising restaurants to choose from around the harbour.Lots of walks. Bus is very cheap. We paid 57 euros for taxi from airport to resort, but on way home got the bus, it was a mere 3 or 4 euros each. Port de Soller is laid back, great for couples, who want a relaxing break or a walking holiday, with options to visit nearby Deia, or Valldemossa, which are villages in the hills nearby, beautiful day out. The little wooden tram that Soller is famous for is quaint, and it is the only traffic allowed right along the promenade. Collapse
What youd expect for 3 star but wont be back because of price hikes

Location is best in whole port and views from pool when youre having a cocktail at sunset is such a treat. Bar staff and drinks are worth every penny. It will be a gamble to book for next year once the upgrade has occurred and the price has rocketed as I'm not sure the improved rooms are the main issue (our superior room was dated but clean and comfy) Swimming pool is small and there's limited space for sun beds so there's always some disappointed people looking for a seat in high season (who didnt get up at 9am!) and there's no way to resolve that. Food is very mediocre (think dodgy station hotel with no competition) and so much of what is served is tinned/pickled so that it can be brought out again day after day. Fresh fruit was a joke (pile of manky oranges and unripe kiwi on a tray) and dont bother to fantasize about a Cappuccino or Late!!! Coffee really is awful. Simple things like the jams and spreads are lowest possible quality to reduce their costs and improve their profits. Unless the restaurant gets an overhaul you'll be looking for 4 star quality breakfast in a 2 star resturant. Restaurant servers who bring out the food are hilariously grumpy and 'Fawlty towers' like and start to clear up half an hour before meal end times. We definitely got what we paid for and ate out at so many wonderful restaurants just a few minutes from the door but a phenomenal increase in price for same week next year means its not on our wish list for 2017. Think it is really short sighted of the hotel to hike prices so quickly, they will have lost a lot of repeat customers. Collapse
