We have been fortunate enough to have stayed in many 5star hotels around the world, but have not found one better than the Dunloe. The setting is magnificent, the service exceptional, and the accommodation first class. We had a suite on the top floor overlooking the lovely green pasture filled with sheep and horses and couldn't have awoken to a more beautiful scene. The staff was amazing, the food very good, and the grounds back to the castle perfectly kept. All in all, we could not recommend this hotel any higher. Collapse

The hotel is great, service is awesome but the best part are the grounds. It was amazing to us that we never saw another person having a walk around this amazing location. The restaurants are great, the pub is very nice and the service was amazing. The rooms are very spacious and well appointed. Unfortunately it will be closed until Spring of 2018 for a year and a half of upgrades. Collapse

We selected the Dunloe as our wedding venue because we primarily wanted somewhere picturesque for the ceremony. The hotel has a variety of options for hosting the civil ceremony that are so perfect, it’s almost impossible to choose. We were immediately excited with the idea of a perfectly sunny day and getting married outdoors in the garden, followed by drinks reception in the thatch cottage. That excitement carried all the way through to the day before the wedding when the chance of rain was forecast and we though it better to play it safe and to instead get married indoors in the Beaufort suite. The Beaufort suite has large windows which looks out on the mystical Gap of Dunloe. We only had 70 guests but this large and spacious room felt perfectly full, aisle perfectly formed and toddlers trying to escape their parents coloured the otherwise open and unused areas of the venue, it couldn’t have been more perfect. While the hotel is only 5 minutes’ drive to the Gap of Dunloe, our photographer was satisfied that the Dunloe Hotel grounds and gardens provided more than enough photo opportunities to capture the occasion with a variety of backdrops. Ours wasn’t a typical wedding as we wished to combine the best of Irish with the best of polish wedding traditions. We were anxious about this from the very first day we met the Hotel Manager Jason Clifford. That was the only time we considered Jason to be the manager as he quickly became our wedding planner, our ideas man and our solution provider. Polish tradition requires food to be available throughout the day and night to snack on while they drink. In response to this, the hotel provided a buffet that ran from after the main wedding dinner till the early hours of the morning. This worked great, not only for the polish requirements but it also allowed us provide food for evening guests. Everybody spoke extremely highly of the quality and quantity of food provided throughout the day and night. The evening guests ate and mingled with the main wedding party while the band set up and everyone was perfectly ‘oiled’ when the music started. Our only regret was that the first we saw of the incredible bridal suite was 4am in the morning when we eventually made it to bed. We didn’t get to enjoy the bridal suite but we still wouldn’t have changed anything about the day, it was perfect! A huge thanks to Jason. I don’t know who ran the hotel that day as Jason seemed to be omnipresent ensuring everything was running like clockwork from our arrival for the ceremony until late at night. Jason, thanks for helping us make the day everything we wanted it to be!! Collapse

This hotel is the BEST place to have your wedding, or just even use any excuse to stay here but you should definitely stay here if you are in Killarney. We stayed here for my sisters wedding and from when we arrived until we left it was sheer bliss, the ambience - the staff - the food, the fantastic family suites, we received such fantastic service and kindness. Jason and all his staff were absolutely amazing and great credit should be given to them, they did a special menu for my daughter who has a lot of allergies, the children were treated brilliantly by all staff - which was really nice. Family suites were so spacious our only regret is that we didn't get full benefit of them (our own fault for staying up so late). I would highly recommend this hotel, it was super. You also have the added bonus of some of the most beautiful scenery in the world on your doorstep.....priceless. Collapse

The hotel is located in a rural setting, lush and green, avenues of trees and rolling plains, beautiful. Then it gets better. The rooms were great, large beautifully appointed and of course wonderful views. The best by a long way during our trip around Ireland There were several dining options but we stayed with the more kid friendly option. No problem fitting us without reservations. The food was too tempting. It was hard not to eat too much. There is a big indoor swimming pool and indoor tennis courts. The former was well used the latter empty whenever we went past. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was we could not stay longer. Collapse
