We stayed here for two nights recently, to take in belfast and titanic. To be honest, we were disappointed! We were asked for a credit/debit card at reception to … Read More check in, although we had already pre- paid in full! Our room was at the far end of the hotel, and involved flights of stairs and many LONG dark corridors to get to.No lift, although it is only two floors. The room was small, and dark. We have been in bigger rooms in 3 star hotels. We immediately asked to be moved, but were toldthe hotel was full? There was only one chair in the double room, no tv listing, no menus or information on hotel etc. There was an average bath, with shower curtain( I hate shower curtains) and a shower over the bath. The paintwork needs re-doing. The "wardrobe" was a wooden open press with a rail, the drawer didn't work.Ourroom looked out into an alleyway, no view. We ordered sandwiches and drink in the bar under the stairs. The lad was sullen, and un-interested. I ordered brown bread,I got white....The breakfast was average usual run of the mill fry-up. No homemade bread or porridge here! We ate here the first night and the food was lovely, albeit slow service! There was a wedding on and we got the impression the wedding was first and foremost, and any other guests had to wait. One waitress who served ourmeal said they were very busy and like "headless chickens". Her words! The leisure centre was no great shakes either. You had to leave the hotel and walk through thecarpark to get to it. It was tiny! The pool average, the hottub small, but the one shower outside the dressing rooms didn't even work! Grimy comes to mind whilst inthe changing rooms. It's a 15 min drive to balfast city from here. In future will definetly stay elsewhere, nearer the city and less dated and mediocre. On check outthe girl didn't ask how was our stay, or barely lift her head for the keycard. Won't be back....ever! Collapse
