Best parts of my stay were the location of the hotel, Aroma spa, friendly concierges and a very kind and helpful employee (a tall Indian gentleman, whose name I have forgotten) in the reception when I arrived as well as the Wi-Fi, which seemed to work very well. The hotel rooms are located in villas, which are a short walk away from the reception and on arrival the concierge gave me and my luggage a ride in a golf cart to the room. The room (with a balcony) was very nice, one of the best beds I have ever slept on. Adequate amount of toiletries, kettle, tea and coffee and a minibar. Breakfast was not included in my room rate and I think it might be well worth including it. The selection of food was quite good and the restaurant was almost empty at 6.45am when I went there. The beach area was a bit of a disappointment, but not the worst I've seen and as it was raining, I didn't even go to the beach, however the pictures of the beach in various websites give you a totally misleading idea of the beach. The pool areas looked nice enough. The spa was excellent and I have to say thanks to the staff there, who accommodated me for a pedicure and with a minimum notice arranged a massage as well. Their timekeeping was excellent, they also served delicious green tea and dates after the massage. This was definitely the best part of my stay. Some staff members displayed a very arrogant and uncaring attitude, especially the staff at outside (valet parking etc). When I arrived, no one bothered to help/greet or even ask if I needed help with my luggage. I didn't really expect anyone to come and open the door of the taxi, but help with luggage would have been most welcome (the concierge was available to help as soon as I walked into the hotel). One another day when I went out to find a taxi, there were no taxis or hotel cars. Once again no one (4-5 staff members standing there) bothered to ask if they can help. I went back in and asked the concierge for help: he went outside in the rain, walked to the main road and got a cab for me. Unfortunately I didn't get his name, because he really deserves a big thank you for going out of his way to assist. When I returned to the hotel, had barely paid the taxi driver, one of these valet parking people was already opening the front passenger door and shoving the next passenger in and I had not even paid yet! Not to mention that once again no one opened my door for me. In the hotel room, one of the negative things was the lack of trash bins. Only one?!? That's all I could find. I hope there is another one, but I just couldn't find it. My room also had an ashtray, even though I booked a non-smoking room. Thankfully there was no old cigarette smoke lingering around. Previous guests feedback questionnaire was still in the hotel binder on the desk, so I guess my feedback wasn't really welcomed. One or two plugs did not work, toilet did not sometimes flush properly either. I could not find room service breakfast menu in the room. The stairway carries all noise and some guests banging their doors doesn't help either. When I was booking a taxi to the airport, the concierge offered the hotel taxi, of course, which would have been more expensive. The hotel "taxi" took me to the mall a day earlier and the driver had no change, as well as the fee being exorbitantly high. Might be a better option to get Uber or Careem driver if normal priced taxis aren't available. As there are so many other hotels available in Dubai, this would not be one of my choices and I would not really recommend it, apart from the Aroma Spa. It's not worth paying for a room with a balcony. If you are a smoker, you can easily go out and smoke there. It is not a 5* resort, but they still expect you to pay the 5* fees. Collapse

I had one night in that hotel and I completely disappointed with this property. First of all, I requested room with good sleep quality location but this request was absolutely ignored and at the reception ladies gave me the room right in front of the entrance on the ground floor. I was very surprised with the room conditions and its clearness. The property is very very old and renovation is a must there. But the worst thing was dust in the room that seems no one had cleaned ever. In addition to this "5 star" service the shower didn't work well and I had to wait about 5 minutes until I got warm water that didn't come thru in the tube. There is no point to mention but still the bathroom fixtures are very old and leek water while using them. In the morning I tried the breakfast and it was as i expected. Too poor and nothing to eat. Live egg station was dirty and some cooks there they put vegetables fallen on the table to omelettes and eggs were being cooked. I stayed in different hotels across the country and in many other places. That was top worst experiences ever. I want the management of the hotel takes into consideration the review to start immediate improvements to meet at least the world service level of 3* hotels. Collapse
