The location was great. It was one block back from Ocean Drive. Naturally you heard street noise, but not as much as you would on Ocean Drive. The room was small but beautiful decorated. The bathroom and shower were decent. The sink in the bathroom was horrible. The water couldn't be running without it splashing outside of the sink. Hard to wash hands/face without getting water all over. Our telephone didn't ring up to the front desk properly, but when we went to ask for towels, they were very attentive. There isn't an ice machine so you do have to ask the front desk to bring you ice. The pool and beach amenities are decent as well. The roof top pool was clean and we were always able to find a seat. Overall, a good stay, just a few minor drawbacks, but wouldn't keep me from going back again. OH and the restaurant in the hotel, Naked Taco, AMAZING!!!!! Collapse

We booked the Dream for our 7-year anniversary. The rooms are exactly as pictured (very cool and unique), and they are clean and well-kept for a beach property. The lobby is swanky chic, the Naked Taco is a lot of fun, and the rooftop bar/pool is perfectly Miami. The location is awesome for South Beach where you can walk to the diner, Lincoln, and a lot of delicious restaurants. The property is less than a block from the beach. We had continental breakfast and beach chairs included in our package. The price compared to other hotels in the area was great. Love the art deco district. Our room faced the bar next door so it did get a little noisy at night. The music plays pretty late and then there is also early AM construction. We did not ask to switch rooms since it was not a big deal. But, if you need quiet, bring ear plugs or ask for a courtyard facing room. It is South Beach, which we expected. All hotel staff were professional and courteous. You even get a free drink upon arrival. Also be aware that the resort fee is $15 per day and parking is $40--which is comparable for the area--and they are also upfront about this too. We did have a slight problem with the beach service--contractors, not the hotel staff but still their service; we left our beach chairs to get lunch (staff told us the chairs were ours for the day), and the beach staff did not tell us to 'fold our chairs' every time we got up for more than a few minutes to grab food or drinks. When we came back, our set-up was gone, which wasn't a problem to us. We just asked to get towels again. Beach staff were upset that we didn't fold our chairs to signify we were coming back. No one was in or needed the chairs. The beach had tons of open chairs. We apologized, saying that we didn't know (none of people who helped us told us this), and asked for towels/to sit back down. The 'captain' gave my husband pretty dirty towels and refused to give us chair covers. He walked away, talking very poorly to us and giving us attitude. We were shocked. We had to go up for a third time to get chair towels from another staff (we tried to avoid the rude staff member since he clearly was upset with us), and 'said' worker started talking disrespectfully to me--even though I said to them, "we aren't trying to be rude; we had no idea; we just want a chair cover." Why was this such an issue? We had no idea their procedures and are still appalled by the rudeness and unprofessionalism of this service. We had watched other people argue and get in fights with the "Boucher Brothers," and now we know why. I'd bring your own towels and sit far away from their territory. They own the beachfront, apparently and could care less about customer service. Collapse

We flew in from Boston for a five night stay to relax, enjoy some sun, and take in Miami's night life. On all fronts, Dream delivered. The room: the room was spacious, clean, and private. We had a nice room on the corner overlooking Collins Ave. The lighting was a nice change that reminded us we were on vacation. Our only complaint: the light in the bathroom made makeup, shaving, etc a little difficult. Not a big deal. Staff: the staff was attentive, friendly, and accomdating. The front desk staff never said no and was happy to help us with a late checkout, plebty of ice, and even offered up their personal lighter. Very impressive. The pool area's staff was equally impressive. We were given plenty of towels, given top notch drinks, and were even given a pitcher of mint and fruit water. The staff always greeted us and clearly remembered us and our schedule. It made us feel great. Amenities: it sounds ridiculous, but the rooftop pool was better than the beach. Clean bathrooms, warm clean water, comfortable lounge chairs and beds, a full bar, umbrellas, and friendly staff. Milagro (yes, I remember the pool manager's name) was super friendly and attentive. Top notch. My wife and I only wish we found it earlier. Conclusion: we plan to go back. Very nice experience. Collapse

This hotel is in a perfect location for the beach and all the nightlife you need. The rooftop pool manager, Milagro, was very personable and helpful. Didn't miss a beat in terms of assisting the pool area patrons. I would come back for sure!

This was one of the best hotels I've ever been to. Not only because it's location is right in the heart of south beach - about 2 minutes walking distance from the beach and ocean drive - but also because the staff was absolutely amazing! Beyond what you'd expect! The room was super clean and everybody was super nice to us. I loved how lovely and inviting the staff was, not to forget the staff by the pool! These people are ADORABLE! The price is totally worth it. To us the Hotel deserves not only 5 but 6 stars!!! Greetings from Germany and we hope the staff liked our German chocolate. Collapse
