Toilets flood "more often than not"

The toilet made noise all night. The following morning, it flooded all over the bathroom floor - a couple of inches of water. When I called the front desk, I was asked if I wanted a plunger. No, I didn't want a plunger; I wanted them to fix this situation. But the engineer would not be arriving until 7 a.m. that morning, and I was in a rush to get to my meetings that day. So I called the front desk again and asked for a bunch of towels; they were brought up right away. The person who brought them up told me the toilets flooded "more often than not." I had to towel the floors, which was a useless exercise since there was so much water. The whole experience was incredibly unpleasant - worse knowing that the toilets flood more often than not. This was essentially confirmed when I checked out b/c no one behind the desk was surprised by my troubling experience. DoubleTree, you operate a hotel. Your toilets cannot flood "more often than not." In an era when Marriott, Hampton Inn, and Holiday Inn have stepped up their service and customer experience, you have not kept pace. Please prioritize fixing your toilets. Collapse

Stayed here one night on my way out of Boston due to proximity to airport. The staff is truly exceptional here! The room was sufficient, nice and clean. I requested a pack and play for my son, that they provided with a small baby toiletry kit and fresh sheets. No food within walking distance, but we were easily able to get food delivered. The breakfast buffet looked great but we didn't have time to try it (and got a greater variety of food for the same price at the airport). Shuttle to airport took 25 minutes with traffic and loading. We booked this hotel room through a Hotel app on our phone and at first, I was attracted to the lower rate, we were in town for a company holiday party (last night 12/9/17). While checking in we were given hot chocolate and warm cookies....which was such a great touch especially since yesterday was our first snowstorm ⛄️ !!! About an hour after we checked in I received a text from Cassandra (the very helpful nice young lady that checked us in). The text was checking to see how our room was and to let us know that she was available and to just text her if we needed anything!!!! Thank you for training you’re staff great customer service! This morning we slept in and decided to skip the buffet breakfast (not complimentary) but we did enjoy our Starbucks coffee and the JFK egg croissant sandwich from your onsite MarketPlace Cafe (so cute, open all day service breakfast until 11am and then kicking off lunch) the server/cook there today was Alice (I believe) and she was great!! Very kind, polite, and quick!!! The room was clean, the water pressure in the tub/shower was awesome and honestly....I can’t wait to go back! We will absolutely stay here again! Thank you Thank you! You should be very proud of your staff (and yourself for obviously rolling out great customer service). See you again! Collapse

I am a HH Diamond member and stayed at this property over two separate weeks on business. Was also here in January 2017 twice over three weeks on business. Both of my stays were excellent. Please see my January 2017 review. First week I had a one-room suite on the 5th flow and week two a two-room suite on the 6th floor. Both offered a beautiful view of the bay. Both rooms were clean and the furniture was in good shape. Bed's were a bit on the hard side for me but I slept OK. HVAC in each room worked great and kept me very comfortable.The two-room suite was very spacious with a separate living / bedroom area and TV in each room. It had a full wet bar with sink, fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The one-room had a fridge and microwave that I had requested. This property it is built solid and is very, very quite. The staff was very professional greeting me by name each morning and evening. Made me feel very welcome. I would like to mention Kira, Shayla, and Markus especially as well as Amelia a manager. Amelia was a great help with my reservation. Check in and check out was very smooth. Did not interact with housekeeping as I did not have my room serviced while I was there. One of the primary reasons why I chose this property was because of the shuttle service. They only service a few areas including the airport. I was working near the cruise terminal so it worked out very well for me. Suggest you call and see if they can accommodate you if you have a specific location you need to get to. Transportation back and forth to the airport was great. The shuttle leaves the hotel on the hour so you may have a wait sometimes while the drivers make their rounds. With the exception of a bit of a wait at the airport I never had to wait more than 25 min to be picked up in the evening where I was working. The only exception was once when the van got stranded in the tunnel due to an accident. The driver called in to let the front desk know. Kira called to let me know what had happened and that they were going to pick me up in the spare van. An example of the type of service you receive at this property. All of the drivers were great. I would like to mention Sammy, Miguel, and Joel. Sammy is a lot of fun as you will see. There is a full service Star grocery store and an adjoining Harbor Liquor store about a 5-7 min walk from the hotel. This hotel does not offer a complementary breakfast but a buffet is served each morning for $15.95 starting at 7:00AM. Because I was a HH Diamond member I could do the buffet at no charge or receive a $15.00 credit each morning at the little café on property that opened at 6:00AM. They serve breakfast sandwiches, lunch items, and a few things for dinner. The three women working there are very nice! There is a hotel bar on property. Thank you everyone at the Hilton Doubletree. Once again a very enjoyable stay! I would highly recommend this property if you are in Boston. Collapse
