1 night stay in early December for our wedding anniversary. Fantastic location just a few minutes walk to Matthew Street and the main shopping area of the city. Also not too far to walk directly to the Albert Dock area (took us around 10-15 minutes). All of the staff were excellent and the room was absolutely perfect for us with a few added touches to the room for the anniversary. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone and really looking forward to staying here again in the future next time we visit. For reference we stayed in room number 619. Collapse

Stayed on Sunday 05Dec2016 for 1 night as I needed to get to the Wirral the next day. The good: staff, service, breakfast, room quality. The bad: our room (253) was right in front of a bar/club called Masquerade which was thumping extremely loud music until quite late. The room itself was also quite noisy as we heard doors slamming etc. The very courteous front desk staff member waived the breakfast charge due to the noisy night which I appreciated. If the sound proofing can be improved I would give it a 4. Collapse
Great Experience - Friendly Staff

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The Hilton brand is always guaranteed although it is the staff that change the experience. This was definitely a great experience and a hotel I would recommend.

I have just got back from a great weekend in Liverpool with my husband, during which we stayed at the Doubletree. If driving definitely use the Q park which is just over the road and you get your ticket validated for a cheaper rate which is really worthwhile. The stay overall was pretty good, check in was quick and simple and the arrival cookie was delicious, particularly on a cold December evening. Our room was lovely, very spacious though a little bit chilly. As we were staying for our anniversary they had left a lovely plate with a chocolate message and further strawberries and chocolates which was a lovely touch! The hotel is in a great location, just a few minutes walk into town for the main bars/shops/restaurants and the dock was not too far either. We had breakfast most mornings which I have to say I really enjoyed and I am not usually a big fan of hotel breakfasts. A really great range of choices from cereals, salmon and meats, usual hot cooked breakfast and you could also order eggs of your choice. It looked as though there was an omelette station too but sadly I missed that being open. A slight negative to our stay was the bar staff. On our second night we decided to head down to the bar for a cocktail before making our way out for dinner. My husband waited at the bar for over 10 minutes without even being acknowledged (it wasn't overly busy) and people kept arriving at the bar after him and being served. After us both being frustrated by this we decided to leave and spend out money elsewhere which ended up being a great choice as we were served immediately in our next location and our drinks were about half the price. On our last day we also made a visit to the spa. It was lovely though I wouldn't think it would be quite so nice if it was busy as it is very small with only 3 beds. To start we were the only people there which was nice. Unfortunately part way through a family of 4 came in which then put a stop to any relaxing we were trying to do as the children (and the dad!) were running, screaming and shouting which I thought really ruined it. I was quite surprised children were allowed into the spa facilities but never mind. Overall a great stay bar a few niggles such as the bar and the other spa guests - I would come back if in Liverpool again Collapse
