I have no complaints about anything and that is rare. The staff was friendly and helpful to us. The cookies are ama zing as usual. The beds are nice and comfortable. The pool is nice and clean. And the view was spectacular

Since we always find rest and relaxation at this Hotel we came here for my Birthday. It was nothing short of fabulous! The staff always greeting me with those to-die-for-cookies! And April is always there to ask what my plans are so she can point me in the right direction. She always ensures that our room exceeds our expectations. Collapse

I stayed four nights here and thought I was at a no-tell motel as I stayed in an out lying building. The lobby is fine but not the Doubletree standard I'm used to in the several motel style buildings that are beside the main building. I had lunch there and it was average for a diner. There was a convention going on and those facilities appeared in great shape. Collapse

On arrival there is a very impressive reception area. You have to walk between parked vehicles to get there. There is no pedestrian walkway away from vehicles. On exiting the reception area you are greeted with a small swimming pool in the background and a pond with fountain in the foreground. You then see the accommodation, there are various numbered blocks. Our block was number 8 a short walk along a dirty path. On arriving at the door, used the electronic key which worked well. ( two keys provided) Keys can be used swimming as waterproof.Opened the door to see an extremely dingy and very dated interior, two double beds, a TV, One wardrobe and chest of draws, one armchair and dressing table. The door had large gaps top and bottom, at the far end of the room was an adjoining door to the next flat, did not appear to have a lock on our side. Lighting in the room consisted of 3 freestanding lights and two wall lights in the bathroom area, not centrally switched so inconvienient The "bathroom area consisted of a round basin on a worktop, to the left was a door to the toilet area and shower. The shower tiling was very dated and badly maintained, with tiles loose, and black where grouted. The shower base was made of tiles of approximately 2" square, not laid evenly and very dirty. Not inspiring to use at all. The walls of the room were very drab and worn, the wardrobe had a layer of dust on top that appeared to have been there for years. Aircon unit very effective, but extremely loud so had to be switched off at night We requested a fridge, one was very quickly brought to the room. Unfortunately on opening the fridge the smell was over powering, clearly not been used for some time and certainly not ever cleaned internally or externally, but it did function, we placed it near the door so the smell went out rater than into the room. Cleaning staff were mediocre, not cleaned everyday as we expected, carpet never vacuumed, the shower was never cleaned. We booked holiday via Virgin, VERY DISAPPOINTED that we did not see A VIrgin rep throughout the holiday, eventually found a notice in the large reception building hidden in a recess away from the reception counter, stating to go to the Rosen international hotel at 08.45 in the morning, not very impressive. We called the virgin concierge to ask to have a rep come to us at a specified time, this was totally refused, rep stating most reps on holiday. This made choosing trips etc more awkward. There were two small Swimming pools, very warm water, As usual nowhere near large enough for such a large hotel or should I say Motel. Insufficient sunbeds available as with parasols, not that many people using pools but as normal, beds reserved by the towel trick, pools open from 06.00 to midnight, no life guards etc. not sure if water quality checked at all during 2 weeks. Nice touch pool towels provided at the pools. Nice restaurant in the hotel, food good but pricey to say the least. Take away food at the market really good with fun friendly staff. I trolley stop immediately outside of hotel entrance, cheap travel for international drive, although trolleys not consistent with timings, but there is a phone app you can use to see when next is coming.. Village inn opposite the hotel, Our experience was one of extremely poor quality food and unfriendly staff. Food presented not cooked thoroughly, fish still frozen in centre, so avoid, never saw many people go there. Plenty of good restaurants on international drive, we recommend The "Ponderosa and Perkins". Ponderosa has a brilliant buffet to select from as well as a great choice of steaks. Perkins has a great menu very friendly staff and service, Latoya is to be recommended for her friendly fun style chat . Seaworld and Aquatica are within easy walking distance of the hotel, leaving from the rear carpark, around 15 to 20 minutes walk, or there are shuttle buses or the I trolleys. Universal is a short trip to stop number 6 on the I trolley and a short walk to universal and islands of adventure. A coach trip to Busch gardens is an hour and half. Collapse
