While looking for a hotel in New York we found this hotel which had good reviews. Normally we would have booked this hotel through a 3rd party website because of the lower advertised price. But since we had some questions about our stay we contacted an employee who informed us about the "Best Price Guarantee" policy of Hilton. Due to this policy we decided to book the room directly through Hilton and apply for the "Best Price Guarantee" policy. This process is quite easy and straightforward. Within 24 hours after submitting the form we received an email that Hilton is honoring our request. Because we had paid the room in advance, they told us they will send us a cheque with the amount to be received. Because cashing out a cheque is quite expensive in the country in which I live, I asked them if it was possible to receive the amount back on my credit card or bank transfer. This was not possible according to the support staff. Because of this it was cheaper for us to book the room through a 3rd party website then directly with Hilton. When I asked for a manager to discuss the matter, I received an email back that they only do cheques and that they close the case and will not respond to future emails about this. So we ended up with a high price then advertised available. Since we were traveling with family and our 1 year old son we had a lot of luggage with us. When we arrived at the hotel by taxi and unloaded all our luggage the front door manager didn't apply to help us but stayed inside and watched how we struggled with all the luggage. When we arrived at the front desk we had to wait for at least another 15 minutes before we could check in because all the staff were busy with one group of people who had issues with there reservation. It would be more appropriate if one of them helped the group and the others helped other customers. Although we had to wait for more then 15 minutes, the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful and made sure the requested crib was arranged quickly. The room itself was clean and had a nice view at Liberty Tower but could use a make over as they are very outdated. The beds were very short which caused my feet be outside of the bed all night resulting in cold feet. The blankets were made of a thin fleece blanket with sheets around them. The heating / cooling unit turn on every now and then during the night and makes a lot of noise which woke us up. Because we were on a holiday with family we booked a room for 4 persons but only received 3 towels. Although we requested for an additional towel, we only received it ones. All other days we did only receive 3 towels and needed to request again for an additional one. Internet connection in the rooms are good but you have to login again everyday. The hotel is located near Penn station and it is easy to travel to all the sightseeing locations in New York. Collapse

The staff were great! They helped my family, friends. and me celebrate my mother's birthday! The event was absolutely a phenomenal success. We had a wonderful time. The service was spot on. Everyone was really helpful! The only complaint my guests provided was with the food which was not well prepared. Unfortunately, the falafels were dry. The chef made french fries, which were not on our original menu. I was not given the promised breakfast vouchers and the elevator was broken. Collapse

Check in service was great, place was clean, staff very helpful. At check in they helped me add an extra stay for checking in early. The room was clean. Slept very well for a small period of time. The staff at the bar were also friendly and let me sneak in last minute before closing. The hotel also held our bags so didn't have to carry them around all day. All and all it was good value for the stay. Collapse

We were in New York for a five nights stay to celebrate a significant birthday. We were greeted in a very friendly & courteous manner & checked in speedily even though we were significantly ahead of stated check in time. Our room was already available. The hot cookies are a nice touch. The room was absolutely fine in all respects. Each day it was serviced beautifully. The free wifi was good & worked well, which is not always the case with some hotel systems. The only small issue was it seemed to cut off about 4 hours before our checkout time, but as it wasn't an issue for us we didn't worry about it. I'd hope that if it was they'd have done something about it. We were only on the fourth floor so the view was somewhat restricted - no doubt the view from the top few floors are great, but no doubt at a premium price. All the staff we encountered were lovely. In all the hotel is to be recommended. Collapse
