The hotel is virtually on the airport and convenient to Downtown Miami and near the main routes to the Keys. Room was spacious and clean. The restaurant is good, and the other amenities of a good standard. Complimentary WiFi was good.

Just to start off with. I can see no reason this hotel will be your first choice of accommodation. THE GOOD: The hotel has a good gym that is well stocked and also half a basket ball court. The pool is not bad at all with a large cold water pool and a small jacuzzi-like warm pool. The outside area by the pool is generally very nice but unfortunately lacks bar-service (or any other service for that matter). The hotel is located about 15 minutes from the airport by a free shuttle connection. THE BAD: The room, although surprisingly big had a view over the hotel's rooftop with windows that can't open (pop-riveted shut) and no mini-bar. The bed and pillows were quite fine. The room's finishings are just terrible. In our room there was also a light (from a smoke detector I think) that was placed above our bed which was very annoying during the night. Shower is in the bat tub with an unhygienic shower curtain. The hotel restaurant is overpriced for the quality of foodm however, the hotel bar was not bad at all. We really enjoyed the drinks, bar-food and the overall service from the bar. THE UGLY: My company made my reservation with the hotel. On my first night around 10pm the front desk manager phoned me up to tell me my reservation was not paid and that the credit card had not gone through. With it being quite late, I thought this is quite a serious issue for them to phone me so I went to the reception where they confirmed the corporate credit card was declined which was very strange. I asked for a couple of days so I can figure out how to fix this problem. The manager wouldn't try the transaction again on the corporate card. The following day my wife returned to the hotel and the hotel blocked her access card to the room and forced her to come up with payment. Without any choice she had to provide her personal credit card to gain access to our room. She paid and they re-enabled her room card without any ID (the hotel NEVER asked for any ID for my wife, even during check-in, so they actually had no idea who she was). When I got back to the hotel later that night, reception staff wouldn't re-enable my room card because "processes" and because I could not provide ID - which was in my room! In the meantime my company was in contact with Hilton where the corporate card was processed without any problems. No one has any idea why the front desk couldn't just try to process the corporate card again. Don't lock people out of their rooms. Especially your trusted corporate customers. Collapse

This stay started out horribly. When I booked the room I got the park and cruise package - I have done this at many hotels over the last 6 years. When I booked the room in March of 16 I called the desk to confirm parking and transportation to and from the Port and let them know this was an 8 day cruise - I was told no problem it was covered. When I got there after checking in and getting my parking pass for the entire length of my cruise the parking attendant told me I needed to pay for 2 extra days in cash right then or it would be charged to my room. When I went to the front desk I was told we only let you park 7 days on the park and cruise - that means the longest cruise you could take would be 6 days without paying extra. My wife argued that we should have been told this up front then there would have been not problem but as it was we felt it was not right. Eventually the manager came out and was huffy saying ok he would just write it off, but he made it plain we were inconveniencing him. The only saving grace to this hotel was the bell man and concierge - certainly not the front desk staff or manager. There was no refrigerator in the room, one had to be brought in for us. The "balcony" was so dirty you could not really enjoy it and looking over the side, the water feature blow us had newspapers and garbage in it. Collapse

Average , nothing that made me go wow besides the bell man that showed us a staff elevator to use when 5 million teenagers showed up. The place was average. The one staff member was excellent. Bed was average, pillows were good.
