King guest room - spacious, comfortable, clean, well lit, good A/C, large TV, nice bathroom with tub/toiletries. Check in was easy, with friendly, helpful staff (I later asked the same man for help with doing my online airport check in and he was very happy to help) We are actually still here. I can't sleep - not the hotel's fault, this bed is actually very comfy - pre holiday excitement insomina strikes, so making use of the good wifi!! We are staying for one night before flight. Arrived by coach at Terminal 3, then took a taxi to the Hotel instead of waiting for a Hoppa Bus - the taxi was £16.20 before tip versus the £9 it would have cost for the bus, but we were already tired from our day's travel and have a lot of luggage! We also intend to take a taxi in the morning as it will drop us (hopefully) right at T3 departures instead of having to walk some way back to the terminal from the bus stop (easily doable if you are fit and healthy though) Back to the hotel review. So far, one of the best airport hotel stays ever. Nice hotel, which I booked well in advance for a bargain price. Breakfast was not included, but have booked on check in for £12 each (£17 if you don't book in advance) and if it is anything like the great food we had in the restaurant last night, we'll be happy. We decided on the restaurant rather than the bar menu, and the portions were huge! Big bowl of delicious whitebait for me, and huge plate of sticky ribs for him, and those were just the starters! This was followed by a large caeser salad with side of chips for me, and the house burger for him. I was impressed by not just the size, but the quality of the food and the attentive service. Both bar and restaurant had 'early bird' deals. Neither of us could finish, no room for desert and we could not wait to get back to the room to collapse in a food stupor! Altogether a very positive experience, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend and hope to stay again in the future. Collapse

It's an airport hotel. You have to take the hoppa bus. This means that despite its proximity to the airport, you could stay somewhere else further down the Piccadilly Line (or even near Paddington, if you want to fork out for the Heathrow Express) and still get to the airport just as quickly. However, once you've put up with hanging around in a grubby bus stop with all the other sweaty passengers waiting for the hoppa bus and doing a tour of the back end of various other hotels on the way, it's a perfectly efficient, comfortable and well managed property. The last time I stayed they put me in a massive corner room that I could lounge very comfortably in. I slept well, didn't sample breakfast, and headed straight out and back onto the hoppa bus. Eventually I got back to the terminal. That's the way it goes with these places. Collapse

We visited the Double Tree hotel (Heathrow), to meet family, that were staying as guests there and to also enjoy a meal in the restaurant. On arrival the very expensive parking machine would only accept coins, no card or notes. So after some time spent exchanging notes for change at reception, we managed to purchase a ticket, spent around £80 in the restaurant and left..only to be charged by the hotels agent Smart Parking, a month later for £60 for the 14minutes delay in purchasing a ticket. We appealed straight away with evidence of tickets, restaurant bill and explanation of the event only to be ignored and are now being harassed for £160! by debt collectors. As a frequent visitor I emailed the hotel manager in hopes they would understand our situation and help resolve the matter with their parking agent, but she showed no interest at all and made it clear that money spent at the hotel is the only thing they care about... I'm very annoyed with the situation and wish we never visited this hotel.. will not be using again!. Collapse
Quick airport layover

Great stay during our layover in London. The room was very clean. We grabbed pizza from across the street from Dominos and has drinks at the bar. Wish the cookies were warm. We did enjoy the nice selection of tea in our room.
