I'm currently staying at the hotel. Check in was smooth. Complementary welcome cookies and drinks were a pleasant gesture. The hotel was actually in a shopping mall. I felt rather uncomfortable checking in at the reception, where other shoppers bustling around. However, special parking spaces for hotel guests were abundant. The room was big with comfortable beds. The only thing that annoyed me the most was the bathroom, as mentioned by some other guests as well. The shower area was poorly constructed, causing water from the shower area to spill out, flooding the entire outer section of the bathroom. So whenever we step into the bathroom, it's always very very wet. Tried the outdoor swimming pool, but the water was definitely too cold. So there wasn't any other guests swimming in it. Breakfast was really really good, with wide selections. Absolutely loved it. I almost gave 3 stars for the whole experience of my stay, but the breakfast definitely added another star. So is it worth the price we paid for the hotel? I wouldn't say so. Collapse

Stayed here 3 nights last week. The price we paid for this hotel was unbelievable. The executive rooms were absolutely gorgeous and was only £50 a night. Beautiful rooms beautiful views. This Hotel is what Hilton is about!

For low budget travellers a good choice, but if you are looking for something luxurious and quiet it is the wrong place. The hotel it is a hugh one and it means high frequent activities. The check-in was professional at first. I told in advance we would like to have late check-out and it was confirmed, unfortunately it was not registered and they block our room key after we left the pool on the last day. It means to go with swimming pool clothes to the lobby. My wife was sitting for long time with the bathrobe in the lobby surrounded by men. A very uncomfortable situation. I had a long discussion, because they suggested to do the check-out right now. A very uncomfortable situation and rude. It was not about paying, they just wanted to go the easy way. I had several times to emphasis we will pay for the late check-out. A very unprofessional behavior. Rooms are big, but the cleaning of the rooms are not really good. Furniture was not anymore in a good shape. Long queue time for the elevators, too many guests and too less elevators. Especially in peek-times for the breakfast. When you come at 09:00 to the breakfast area, you have to queue till you get seated. It is like in Mallorca style. The stuff is overstrained. It means, you ask for tea. But it was two days not delivered. One time it can happend, but not two times. The buffet is okay, but just okay. Many choices, but not very good choices in comparison to other hotels in Kuala Lumpur in that star category. Fruits are mainly dominated by apples. Pastry tasted old and not fresh. Pool area, water is freezy if there is no sun. Other problem the pool area is surrounded by the towers and it means, if you sit at the wrong place you freeze because of the valley effect of the air-conditions. strange situation. If you are not fast enough in the morning, no chance for a place at the pool. very limited space. We ordered beer, I asked the waiter, if the bottled beer has also the size of a pint. He said yes, we ordered and received half pint bottles. But sorry, it is a question of the price and the draft pint beer is cheaper. Language skills were very limited. Stuff is friendly as long there is no difficulties or discussion. Location, the hotel is located in a mall. It depends on the people who likes that. But in comparison with other hotels, it is far to the petronas towers. My conclusion, the hotel is only third choice for me. Pay 20 dollars more and you got better hotels in KL. Especially for people who wants to visit KL the first time or maybe for a special time. In my opinion the hotel is good for airline crews (as i saw) or frequent KL travellers with a limited budget or just low budget travellers which want to have a "hilton doubletree". Sometimes I can really not understand how the good ratings of hotels get created. Maybe lack of travel experiences. Collapse

We spent 5 nights here and we had an incredible time! As a Diamond member, we were upgraded to a Junior Suite, had Lounge access, and also got complimentary breakfast at either the Executive Lounge or at the Makan Kitchen. Unlike other stingier Hilton properties, this hotel knows how to treat their loyal members! Rooms: Our room was very spacious, with a separate bedroom and living/work area. We were there to celebrate a recent engagement and the hotel staff made sure to take care of us! The bed was comfortable with a pillow menu for those who like certain types of pillows. There was a rainfall shower (pressure could be better) with an adjoined tub, as well as a separate area for the toilet which is nice. We also appreciate the bathrobes and slippers that came along with our room. Service: Service was great literally everywhere. The front desk staff in the lobby and Executive lounge were incredibly nice and sociable and the employees in the restaurant were attentive. No complaints here. Food: We ate at the Makan Kitchen for breakfast 4 out of the 5 days and wow. It has an amazing spread and probably is one of the better breakfasts I've ever had at a Hilton property. The breakfast in the lounge wasn't much worse either, as it has a smaller selection but still delivers a good variety of food. The evening happy hour in the lounge also consisted of delicious food that could probably be substituted for dinner. Each night they had three different hot items (rotated daily), sandwiches, fruits, desserts, drinks, and more! KL is known for being a food haven but it was hard to pass up the food that was offered at this establishment. Also note that there are a variety of food options right downstairs along with a grocery store. The room service/restaurant menus also looked good and were really reasonably priced. Location: Great location, close to the Petronas Towers if you're traveling for leisure like we were. The hotel is inside the Intermark Mall and is connect via walkway to the Ampang Park train station. I would recommend either taking the KL Express to get to KL Sentral from the airport then take a train to Ampang Park (if you're traveling light) or just taking a taxi from the taxi stand at the airport (if you're traveling with more stuff). Either way works, and it'll probably cost you the same amount and take the same amount of time. We used the subway system to get everywhere during our stay in KL and it is really nice to have a hotel that is basically connected to one. Also note that if you are not used to walking around in the streets of Southeast Asia (we are both Americans) then I would suggest using Uber, taxis, Grab, or the subway as walking can be pretty scary. Fitness Center: We used the fitness center for 3 days and it was always busy! there are a good amount of cardio machines but they don't have much space for free weights. As a result, I passed on the lifting and concentrated on my cardio. However, it is still a good fitness center, just make sure to go when it's not crowded if you want to lift some weights. Overall we LOVED our stay here. We had a blast in KL, and this hotel made our trip that much more worth it. PLEASE DON'T CHANGE Doubletree! We love you! And we hope to return someday so long as all your current standards are maintained. Collapse

1 night from 23 Feb,2017. Room 1427. It is a smoking room. Room is clean but no long bath.paid 460 MYR plus that comes with 2 breakfast. It was formerly crown princess hotel and bought over by hilton and heavy spending on refurbishing. Some chips on the fittings in the room. A Wardrobe looks like it not stable. Painting outside the room fall off blocking pathway to room. Bed is comfortable and clean. Not enough luggage rack area. However there is a big sofa set in room. Room looks modern but but on the dark side maybe due to lighting. It is also a connecting room to 1428 although I only book room 1427. So,expect some noise from the other room. Breakfast many varieties truely high class standard. Will consider coming back if there is discount and free upgrade for members. Collapse
