This was my first time truly spending quality time in the city of Denver (driving through it on I-70 during a road trip from St. Louis to L.A. back in 2006 doesn't really count, I reckon), and given my previous positive experiences with DoubleTree hotels across the country and around the world, I naturally gravitated toward this hotel. Moreover, I was in town for the 7th Annual 1940s White Christmas Ball, along my old Air Force lady friend (whom I hadn't seen in 16 years--wonderful reunion!) with whom I shared the room, and this was one of the suggested hotels for the occasion (as an "alternate" to the "official" Ball hotel, which was not Hilton-branded and therefore not my first choice). Suffice to say to neither I nor my hot date were disappointed. Lobby was beautifully decorated, spacious, and comfy. I really liked the separate check-in line for Hilton HHonors members (the only other hotel where I've seen this setup is at the DoubleTree Tropicana in Las Vegas). The hallways were pleasantly designed in what looked like Native American-style carpeting, and more importantly were wide and spacious enough to be easily navigable (a couple of other DoubleTrees I've stayed at, while very good overall, had abysmally narrow hallways which were nightmarishly awkward to negotiate with a luggage cart), the beds were *supremely* comfortable, the window and balcony gave a beautiful view of the sunrise and sunset, bathroom clean and well-apportioned. Breakfast buffet was delightfully delicious, and adding the orange slices to my sunny-side up eggs was certainly a nice touch! :-) Friendly and enthusiastic service all-around, and I'd like to recognise and thank the following staff members by name: Uzmanov (shuttle driver) Skilah (front desk), Omar (bell desk) , Steve guest services, Johnnie and Sharif (guest services), Sherrie and Connie and Iris and Jacob (table servers), Hassan and Alex (shuttle drivers), Taryn Moyer (guest services) (assisted with FedEx), and Elisa (front desk). My apologies to the staff members whose names I've forgotten, argh! All of the above-named employees were great, but I'd like to give an especially big shout-out and thank you to Johnnie, Sharif, and Taryn at Guest Services for going the extra mile for me (the first two vis-a-vis transport to & from Buffalo Wild Wings, the latter for assistance with an outbound FedEx package) and the enthusiasm with which they did so. If and when I return to Denver, given a choice in the matter, this'll definitely be my first choice of lodging! Warm regards, Christian D. Orr Hilton HHonors Gold Member Collapse

The second we walked into the hotel we were greeted with a friendly smile and face. You can tell the people working there enjoy their job. The front desk staff was not only very polite, but they made me feel very important when checking in. They even greeted me right away the next morning remembering my name and who I was. I was very impressed! On our first night after checking in, we went to grab a drink at the bar. We couldn't have been any more pleased with our experience. The food was great but the service was even better. Our server was a just a hoot. She was so much fun and just made our night. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who likes customer service. We left the hotel with such a positive experience, we will definitely be staying there again! Collapse
