I stayed here at Hotel D'or for 5 days 11th June 2017! I went on recommendation my mum and family go here every year! For the last 9 years. It's only 2 story high, with a few blocks of rooms situated around the pool in the middle. It's a great budget hotel! Very chilled out place, you feel comfortable there. We stayed in block 3, as the rooms in this block are upgraded (including walk in shower bathroom) we had to pay 50 euros on arrival extra for this. If previously send an email and had response that we had reserved room 308. But when we arrived here at midnight, we were put in block 4, room 411. And just had to wait until the morning to enquire about the room we had reserved. Apparently they allowed a late check out the day we arrived so it was not able to be cleaned on time for us arriving. But anyway our room was an upstairs room so they have more private balconys too. Apparently you have to pay 50 euros extra now they said anyway for any upstairs Rooms rather than ground floor. It's worth it for the upgraded rooms! and if you use your balcony and want privacy! As the downstairs ones around the pool are on view. We got a safe also for our stay which was 25 euros on arrival. But as a budget hotel anyway the normal rooms are fine. The bar is normal if not cheaper prices for drinks and food! They have happy hour 4.30-5.30 with 241 on all drinks! :) They have live music one evening a week. The staff are friendly and helpful, at breakfast there is bacon and eggs and beans, toast and some fruits and yogurts, and mini croissants. Orange juice and tea/coffee. overall a great chilled place to stay, cheap and good location, when you turn left out the hotel and down the first street on your left leads you over the square and your there walking into the centre square of all the bars and restaurants, lots of selection! Our favourites- centre plaza for lunch! Great food and the guys there are very nice. Nice spot to sit and watch people passing by and good atmosphere all around these places as it gets busy, Barlavento is on the next little street of restaurants, lovely food! We walked down to the beach by hotel Cala D'or this is lovely little cove beach, we didn't stay sunbathing as we prefer to stay by the pool, but lovey spot. Busy in the afternoon. The marina is lovely, and we had a few drinks at waves bar Overlooking it, which is on the same side of the marina we walked down the steps to. Cala Dor itself is a lovey place, for couples and for families. Hotel Dor I would say is more suited for older people who want to relax, and couples who want to do the same :) can't fault the hotel and for what you pay! I will definitely return! :) Collapse

Visited the hotel dor last week, this was just a cheap five day trip so didnt expect much. The hotel is in a good location, five minute walk to the local strip with plenty of bars and restaurants. On arrival we had a very quick book in, after paying 11 euros local tax to the reception. Our room was on the first floor, the room was clean with en suite bath, shower and Wc. Very large balcony with table and chairs and two sun loungers. Our room overlooked the local busy road and roundabout so was very noisy. Room had free air con and free safe which was a bonus. Tv had bbc1. Pool area looked clean. We went bed and breakfast. Unfortunately i had an accident on the first day on the beach which resulted in a hospital visit and nasty gash to my head. Not feeling well i went down to breakfast had toast. I got a coffee and put two pastries in my bag to take to eat at the pool as the restaurant was down very steep steps and i felt sick and needed freh air. The older women who was cleaning the tables came running over shouted at me at the top of her voice saying you cannot take the pastries and then proceeded to look into my bag. The restaurant was full and i have never felt so embarrassed, i tried to explain i wasnt pinching them, just taking them to the pool, but she continued with a tirade of abuse. I put them back. I only visited the restarant once more feeling too embarrassed but when i saw the mouldy fruit and people having to wait for eggs or bacon to be cooked, as the chef didnt seem to want to cook too much at once, so there was a rush when she brought a tray in, so your breakfast was eaten in stages. Very poor ingrediants. Just egg, bacon and beans, a range of cereal was available. We met some people who had booked half board, they didnt realise until they arrived that their evening meal was at a restarant in the town, and although the restaurant had a large menu, they were presented with two options and if they didnt like it, they were offerred 40% off something else on the menu? The reception staff were very good, and helped me contact hospitals/taxis and bus companies. Not suitable for anyone with disabilities as many steps to restaurant and poolside toilets. Check out is 12 noon, we kept our room on for an extra €20 Collapse

I stayed here with my girlfriend for a week in April. Only paying 215 euros each (flights + hotel) for the week we weren't expecting too much. The place was fairly clean and the room comfortable, if small. But since we were only in it to sleep it was adequate. We also had a small balcony looking over the pool which was quite nice. (Some rooms don't view the pool) Being budget everything comes at an additional cost, including the room safe and wifi in the room. Wifi is however free from the pool area which works intermittently in the room. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis which was ok, i wouldn't have wanted to have dinner there as it limits your choice. The breakfast itself was ok, the standard continental stuff, plus bacon, eggs, beans etc Tea and coffee was out of a machine as was the juice which isn't the best but cant complain overall. The only real downsides to the hotel was the "double" bed, which is 2 singles pushed together, quite standard for a lot of hotels. But the sheets and blankets were also only single sized. I'm not 5 years old! And yes i do like to cuddle in be without waking up cold due to the parting of the sheets! This i found very annoying. And on one occasion our room wasn't made up. I brought this to the attention of the only member of staff who aggressively told me it wasn't her problem. There's a lot to be said about the Poles but their people skills are terrible. After a slightly heated conversation she relented and called the cleaner back in to do the job she should have done. So over all, not bad, don't pay too much and don't expect to squeeze your partner at night. Collapse

We stayed in bed and breakfast... Went down for breakfast.. Ended just having coffee... Wouldn't recommend breakfast. Unless you want continental stuff... Cold fried eggs, freezing boiled eggs and cold bacon.. Tomatoes with not very nice cheese... No English breakfast ... Rooms cleaned every day... No fridge or kettles I'm room.. TV in room.. Bathroom/shower... Toilet... Twins beds with side cupboards.. One dressing table and built in wardrobe... Look at pictures to get ideas... If you want Indian food.. Spice of India... It's excellent.. Very nice.... Woodys pub does a great breakfast.... Do not go too London pub for food... Disgusting.. Everything was cold.. Burnt.. Crispy egg.. Cold not recommend.... Collapse
