Just returned from a week at Don Miguel apartments. The apartment (ours was on the ground floor right next to he swimming pool) was everything we expected. The brochure said that the apartments had ben recently renovated and it was obvious that this was the case. The beds and bathrooms and air con all looked new. The only strange thing was that the kettle lead was too short to reach the socket unless you balanced it on the end of the worktop or put it in the sink. A shelf near the plug socket would solve the problem All the staff were efficient and friendly, there were enough sunbeds while we were there but I'm not sure how full the hotel was. The swimming pool was the warmest pool I have ever been in. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food, but there were always people outside having lunch so it looked OK. The entertainment was typical hotel stuff, they seem to take it in turns with the pub next door. All in all a very pleasant relaxing week and a big thanks to all the staff a the Don Miguel. Collapse

I agree with many of the reviews of these Apartments so will not needlessly repeat them. In the absence of a lift, I found getting our 20kg bags to A3 quite difficult for an oldie. But you only have to do it once! The weather that week was perfect - hot and sunny with not a cloud in the sky the whole week. Some minor issues to do with air conditioning were resolved quickly and the staff were very helpful with a damaged handle (thanks to the coach driver who just yanked the handle of the suitcase off without any concern) and repaired it sufficiently to get it back home without any further issues. Thank you very much. The excellent shower still needs to have a shelf to put toiletries on but I understand that is in the pipeline. The walk to the Pine Walk takes over 20 minutes but is flat all the way. No jelly fish in the sea - so a great improvement on the last time we were in Puerto five years ago. The best thing about the location of these apartments is the Bus Stop less than 5 minutes walk away from where you can catch buses to virtually anywhere on the island without having to walk down to the centre and queuing up with many other tourists to get a seat. We went to Alcudia, Palma, Pollenca, Formentor and Calla San Vicente on buses and could have gone to many more places if we were staying for longer. Bus fares are cheap. Many small and large supermarkets not far away and many restaurants roundabouts catering to all tastes and budgets. There is a lot of storage space and many powerpoints in the room. All in all, an excellent residence and highly recommended as long as you dont mind walking 20 minutes to get to the centre. We had nice non smoking neighbours the whole week so it was very pleasant to have lunch on the balcony after 1pm when the balcony was in the shade. The sun on the balcony in the mornings was very hot but the afternoon/evenings were very enjoyable. Collapse

Apartments have just been newly refurbished (fabulous shower - better than at home!) and were spotlessly clean, which is really important. Accommodation is fairly simple but perfectly comfortable and good value for money. There is one pool at the apartments and a further two pools at the sister hotel which you have the use of. A little walk from the centre of town but only two minutes from the beach. Staff are super friendly and helpful. No lift to upper floors but pool-side apartments are great for kids! Collapse

We got a cheap deal to the Don Miguel apartments and weren't sure what to expect but they were amazing. Clean, spacious, quiet, everything we needed including TV with English stations, air conditioning, loo rolls, dishcloths even ice cubes in the freezer. They were within easy walking distance of the beach, supermarkets, restaurants and bars - we were spoilt for choice. There's also some great walking nearby and we saw an eagle at Lluc monastery and a black vulture in the Boquer Valley. The apartments are near enough to the town centre to walk there is 15 minutes or so but being a bit out of town was a great choice and we loved it. The staff at the hotel panorama (the apartments were in separate blocks) were all friendly and helpful about anything and everything we needed and the all-you-can-eat buffet continental breakfast was great value at €6 apiece. All four of us in our party loved it all and we are definitely planning to come back. Collapse

I have to say I agree with many of the reviews here. The accommodation is clean, newly decorated and bathrooms upgraded. The kitchen had everything we needed, there was air conditioning in both rooms and the sheets and towels were changed regularly. All good ! However I think we had the room that Jack built in it's quirky, and, by the end of the holiday, annoying layout ! There was nowhere to plug in the kettle in the kitchen and so we were running back and forth to the lounge area when we wanted hot drinks. One of the beds in the bedroom was so close to the wardrobe that the wardrobe doors could only be opened about 18" and the drawers beneath likewise. The beds could not be moved because the headboards were fixed to the wall. Hubby had to use the second wardrobe in the lounge area. Our toilet was leaking, although this was promptly attended to when reported, as was the towel ring which was loose. Also we were on the second floor - up two flights of marble stairs (32 steps !!). As a fit 65 year old this was ok, but a bit of a struggle carrying up cases, water and drinks. This may be a consideration for others. Collapse
