This was our first stay at this resort. Stayed at Beach Club last time, and the price differential between the two shows. Would prefer Beach Club due to the nicer pools, restaurants, and rooms, but it wasn't in the budget this time. This was affordable and parking was easy. Bus stops are frequent so it was a short walk from the room to the stop, which was great. Pools were nice as well, though not as exciting as at some other Disney properties. Our room was fine for us. Drawbacks - since all doors go to the outside, it's fairly loud when people come back from the park late at night. That's hard on those of us whose kids go to bed earlier. Also, with the renovation, only one restaurant was open. The food was really just OK, and it's expensive enough that OK is a serious bummer. Add in food allergies, and choices were limited. But - it's Disney, so we had a nice time and wouldn't avoid staying again. Just found this not to be nearly so magical as the experience at a more expensive property (which is to be expected, I suppose). Collapse
We loved our time at DCBR

This visit was our first visit to Disney. We chose to stay in a Disney hotel rather than a private Villa and we definitely made the right decision. Friends of ours had opted for the private villa and over the 2 weeks we did look at the pros and cons of each. We definitely made the correct decision for us, a family of 3. Our daughter celebrated her 10th birthday whilst in Disney. The magic of staying at CBR was that we had regular transport to and from the Disney Parks and of course the beauty of the extra magic hours also. We did take advantage of making early character breakfast reservations so that we could be on the parks before the rest of the public arrived; Disney transport allowed us to arrive on time. We did book CBR before the announcement of the ongoing renovations of the resort. As we were out early and spent many hours during day away from the hotel, the building work did not affect us in any way. We were allocated the Jamaica building which was perfect for us. A short walk to the bus stop and a little walk over the bridge to the main pool, bar and catering facilities. All the pool areas were clean and were open until 11pm, great if you didn't go back to a park in the evening. You could even watch the Epcot fireworks from the pool at 9pm. One of the evenings we stayed on site and watched a Disney film under the stars with popcorn (the lightning behind the clouds made it for us) Our room was just right or us, 2 Queen beds, small bathroom and a double sink. To be honest, on first sight not the biggest of rooms but we weren't really there, more importantly the beds were very comfortable and I couldn't wait to get into it each evening after the miles of walking. We only ate dinner a few times at CBR, when we did the food was ok but could have gotten very repetitive if we ate there too often. The staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. I must mention a lovely bloke called Mark he couldn't help us out enough. He really did look after us during our stay. CBR is a lovely place to stay and I would definitely return in the future. As a HUGE Disney fan my partner and I booked Caribbean beach lately due to offers/promotion in the U.K. We had previously stayed at art of animation which we loved but wanted to get the dining plan so opted for this resort. For us the resort was far too large with an internal bus servicing the different areas of the resort, we were in the furthest location away from the lobby and after a long wait for the internal bus we knew this was not the resort for us. The room itself lacked any Disney spark in my opinion and after planning this trip a year in advance I was genuinely heartbroken at how tired and undisney the decor was. The pool we were near was basic and sun loungers broken and as it was not supervised by Disney large groups were able to play their own music and dominate the area. I would return to Disney but would not return to Caribbean beach whilst it offers value for money I personally feel the smaller 'value' resorts are far superior. Collapse

We enjoyed the stay at this hotel, there are plenty to do, specially for the children; pools and entertainment was good. We had the meals/snacks included in our package which was great. Since we were using Disney's hotel we had transportation to/from the parks & airport, so no needed to rent a car this time. Check in was fast and our room was nice and clean. Collapse
