We just came back from visiting Whistler for the first time. The Delta is conveniently located in the village, a 7 minute walk to the lifts at Whistler and the gondola to Blackcomb. We are a family of 5 so we needed two rooms. The rooms were separate, but shared a foyer that provided both rooms with one entrance. It was the perfect set up for our family as they kids had their own space with a bathroom. Our room also had a kitchen and we made breakfast every day. You do not need a car as everything is walkable, including the well-stocked grocery store in the village. We stayed in rooms 1214 and 1216. The only negative is that these rooms are opposite the Deer Lodge which has a bar and on some nights we could hear late night partiers. We did not spend too much time in the room as there is so much skiing to do as well as other activities. There is an outdoor heated pool and 2 outdoor hot tubs with an indoor hot tub. The hotel provides robes and towels so it's very easy to use. We stored our skis at the base of the mountain, but you can store them in the lobby of the hotel too. There is a shuttle that takes you to and from the base as it's not the easiest walk in ski boots. In our 4 days of skiing, only once did we wait too long for the shuttle and after 40 minutes decided to walk back. I would like to point out a very kind and notable act by the hotel staff: The night before we left as we packed, my daughter noticed her stuffed monkey was missing. She called the front desk to see if housekeeping had seen it. No luck. She left a note and we called again and left notice with the front desk when we checked out. After we landed, Matt K. from housekeeping called to say he found monkey and would send him out to us. A few days later, monkey arrived with a note explaining why he did not leave Whistler with us and photos of what he had been up to the last few days. This is extraordinary customer service and really helped to manage a tough separation crisis for our daughter. Thanks Matt K and anyone else who helped in this extremely thoughtful gesture! Collapse

This is an average hotel. Not fancy, but not bad. Our room was in building 2, and we did not have noise from the street, but did hear the children running and talking in the hallway. It was nice to have a suite - the extra space to spread out in the living area was welcome, as the bedroom on its own would be too small. There was not enough storage space for clothes and bags. We did not cook in the room, which was good as there was not much in the way of cooking tools. Others did cook in their rooms, the smells of which did come into our room. (A wet towel under the door took care of this problem.) The bathroom was a good size and had a good layout. The location, about equal walking distance from Whistler and Blackcombe, and close to IGA, means you are on the edge of the Village. The lobby staff was helpful. Housekeeping took care of the rooms and had it ready for our early afternoon return each day. Building 2 has one passenger elevator, which meant a wait during popular times. And an inconvenience the days when it was out of order. Collapse

We have just returned from a seven night stay at the Delta. We were in a two bedroom apartment with our three older teenage kids. The apartment layout worked well for us and the kitchen was fairly well equipped although could have benefitted from a few more utensils for cooking. The apartment was cosy but we turned the heating down at night as it could be a little noisy. The washer drier was great and it was lovely to arrive home without having to then attack the ski laundry mountain. The daily cleaning was a welcome contrast to our experience of ski apartments in Europe and it was a real treat to have fresh towels and sheets although you could opt to go green and have fewer laundry changes etc. The reception staff were wonderfully welcoming and helpful and the concierges were always smiling and keen to help. The shuttle bus was great with a knowledgeable and interested driver although we sometimes walked which only took ten minutes. We were maybe lucky with the location of our room at the far end of building one but we had no problem with noise from the nightclub as reported by other guests. I would definitely recommend the Delta and hope to return as soon as I can. Collapse

We are 4 friends staying in a 2 bedroom suite. It has a fantastic layout - spacious, superbly comfortable beds, efficient and hot showers, and central location close to shops, grocery stores, Physio and medical center! The room heating is super effective. The room is serviced regularly with tea and coffee in the kitchen restocked as required. Their shuttle to the main lifts is frequent although we have also walked in (5-10 minutes) and left our skis in the free storage at the base of Whistler Mountain. The staff couldn't be more helpful. We requested 4 single beds, through the Marriott main office, and this was arranged as promised. We are on the 4th floor and get a bit of street noise if the windows are open, but this is to be expected for the central location. Small improvements could include another mirror in the bedroom and maybe a central light in the main bedroom. We would definitely recommend. Collapse
