This hotel provided a wonderful retreat during an exhausting business trip. As a Marriott Rewards member, I was upgraded to a newly renovated room on an upper floor with stunning style and a spacious room. The hotel has been a major Calgary hotel for many years, so I suspect there may be rooms that have not yet been updated, so make the ask for the newer rooms. As a first time visit to Calgary, I was about to walk outside in the bitter cold to attend a client office when the doorman suggested I use the city's skywalk that connects the major buildings by second floor bridgeways. He provided a marked-up map to guide me to the office. My thanks to him and all of the hotel's courteous and personable staff. The evening meals are served in the hotel lounge off of reception but with a full menu selection. The menu also includes mini-meals developed by their talented chefs for under $10. My meal of salad, butter chicken, and a strawberry/rhubarb tart was one of the best hotel meals that I have eaten. A Starbucks in the lobby provided a quick and tasty breakfast or you can use the hotel's second floor restaurant. For those environmentalists, you can opt to skip the daily room clean, then Delta will plant a tree on your behalf, Overall a great experience. Collapse

I was in town for the Christmas holidays visiting family and decided to stay at a downtown hotel to enjoy Calgary’s vibrant downtown setting, as my family doesn’t live close to downtown. We had issues getting into the hotel due to the road construction in the area. The check in process was easy and the clerk at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We had a basic room with two queen beds which were very comfortable. The sheets and pillow cases on the beds were crisp and clean, well pressed, and quite comfortable. The room was on the sixth floor so the view was nice, and there was no noise from the traffic either. There was a nice large closet which held our clothes and suitcases quite nicely as we wanted to keep them out of the way as my young grandson was with us and needed the space to play with his toys. The bathroom was large and well-lit with ample soft towels and facecloths for our use. Overall the hotel was good value for our money and the parking was more reasonable than most places at only $10.00 per night. Collapse

This was our first stay at the Delta in Calgary downtown. It was a bit tricky getting into the property with all the construction but made exiting simple for access back to the Deerfoot. Check in was simple, although we tried to use the app and was not successful due to it wanting an hour for preparation although check in is at 3 pm. We arrived to very friendly front desk staff and were upgraded to a junior suite on the 15th floor. Underground parking was fantastic at $10 a night on the weekend. Clearance great for a pick up truck as well as they have oversize parking immediately upon entrance of the parkade. Trolleys would have been nice for assistance with luggage. There was donuts and hot beverages for guests arrivals. The room...well its age is definitely showing. Although they have attempted to upgrade, it is apparent more is needed. Desks and vanity deeply scratched. Cleanliness was not closely paid attention to as the mirror had streak marks all over them. Noticed dust all over mouldings as well. Room temperature was very difficult to regulate. The bed...they advertise a pillow top, our bed was rock hard and squeaked so badly that it kept each of us up all night. I was so sore in the morning I could hardly move. Lots of pillows on the bed and nice duvet. Bathroom very basic. If this was a junior suite I could not imagine what a regular room is as this seemed to be a pretty standard room in my opinion. Hotel property was quite well appointed. The pool was clean. Hot tub was only luke warm and had an over abundance of chlorine. Both my husband and myself had burning eyes for 2 days and our swim wear smelled so badly of the chlorine. Otherwise it was easy to get to and nice with pool towels on hand. We did not eat at the restaurant but did note the lounge in the lobby had great all day happy hour specials. All in all, if the price was right we would stay again if we actually got a pillow top bed as after a major back surgery I could not take another sleep in that bed again. Collapse
Good Hotel Downtown

Everything downtown can be reached by foot. This makes it a perfect stay when you want to visit the Calgary Tower. The Hotel is a normal business hotel with everything you need. Nothing exciting and no bad surprises.
