I wouldn't describe the Deloix Hotel as very family friendly hotel. We visited during the British summer holidays for 1 week and just got back today, (11th August 2017). We bought a beach ball for the kids to play with in the pool only to be told that it was not permitted as it was too big. We then bought a smaller ball (slightly bigger than a tennis ball) only to be told that they were standing too far apart when passing to each other. Pretty petty rules to be honest for a family hotel! The only danger being is if the child actually ATE the ball! If the issue was complaints from other guests then again i have to disagree with that point as having spoken to a few guests they were of the same opinion especially as there is access to an adults only pool on the 4th floor. We only found out about the daytime activities at the kids disco in the evening when certificates were give out for things that had happened during the day. We felt these activities were very much targeted towards their Spanish guests. The food was not the best to be honest, i have had far better in a 3star hotel. I found the lady on the door very stern and uninviting, she was absent on Tuesday and Wednesday which i am assuming is her days off. The young man that replaced her was so much friendlier. On the plus side the hotel is very clean and the bar staff are all extremely friendly. The biggest compliment i have is for the staff that are responsible for cleaning the rooms.........ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!! Just a tip for those that have bothered to read this review.........if, like me you enjoy a glass or two of vino on your balcony, there is an Iceland...YES AN ICELAND 5mins away that not only sell English groceries but also great deals on alcohol. I bought 2 bottles of Hardys wine for 9Euro. Hope you all enjoy your hols...............B) Collapse

The hotel has a lot going for it - clean, large rooms, efficient air con, free wireless internet throughout the hotel, plenty of space around the pool and plenty of sun beds. However there are a couple of areas that are not as good as they could be. The food is good, but repetitive. As a result you are likely to want to go out a couple of times a week just to get a break from it especially if you are staying on a full board basis. There was a few themed nights in the restaurant e.g. Italian night but they were a bit random and you might not realise there was a theme as the food was pretty much the same as the previous night. We always found something to eat with a lot of fish and meat dishes on offer. The food is definitely more for Spanish tastes but you should expect this from a Spanish Hotel. You also need to watch how well some thicker cuts of meat are cooked on the grill. It seems to be that if the restaurant is busy and they are under a bit of pressure to meet demand the thicker cuts of pork and chicken are not getting cooked through. We highlighted this to the waiter who phoned the kitchen but it did happen more than once. The evening entertainment is held on the outside of the hotel in a large seating area. There is no fence/hedge between the the seating area and the busy road so if you have young children you should be aware of this. To be fair we never saw or heard of any issues with the layout of this area but a fence/hedge would reduce the risk. The location is good if you want a quiet holiday from which you can access the busy centre of Benidorm without too much trouble. Buses stop right outside the hotel and it is only 1.50 Euros into town per person. A taxi is about 8 Euros to the start of the old town. So for a family of 4 the cost difference for a taxi is not that bad. You are also well placed to travel to along the coast by bus to quieter towns e.g. Altea where there is a nice beach front. There is not a great many shops or bars nearby so if you want an evening wondering in and out of the shops you are going to have to travel into Benidorm. You can walk but it will take about 25 minutes to get to town centre or the beach/seafront. There is a very useful Iceland 5mins from the hotel where you can get soft drinks and ice cream for a fraction of the cost of what the hotel charge - €2 for a pack of four ice creams at Iceland vs €2.70 each at the pool bar. If you are desperate for British food you will get it here. A further 5 minute walk and you will come to a larger Spanish supermarket for a wider range of food and drink. Pool rules are strictly enforced - doors to pool area locked to 9.30 am . No giant crocodiles or turtles allowed - flotation devices only i.e. plain rubber rings only. No footballs only small balls and if you are being a nuisance with water guns you will be directed round to the children's pool at the back. We didn't mind the rules but some got annoyed at their "fun" being stopped. The indoor pool is a great way to avoid the sun but you must have a pool hat - €2.50 from the machine or bring your own. Even if you are bald you need to have one on or you'll be asked to leave. The roof top pool and bar is great area for adults only. Nice to sit up there in the late afternoon with a gin looking at the view of the mountains. Only downside is that it shuts at 7 pm and there is not a great amount of shade available up there. On the whole a nice clean hotel Collapse

This is our third holiday at the Hotel Deloix Aqua Centre despite my husband saying that we don't return to a holiday destination but despite spending hours scouring brochures we ended up here again as our children love this place and it makes an easy family holiday. There is plenty to do and the hotel feels safe and family friendly. The hotel itself is modern, clean and tidy and the rooms are comfortable and we always ask for a room with a pool view which we get. The pools are great and the entertainment around the pool is fun, especially the splash dance and the pool side Disco for the little ones. The entertainment staff work very hard and are lovely. My children have only attended the children's club a couple of times but have enjoyed it. It runs for a couple of hours each morning. The guests in the hotel are mostly Spanish and this is good for us as they tend to be the quieter of holiday makers in Benidorm!!! the food in the restaurant reflects the Spanish holidaymakers taste but we always found something to satisfy us. If you choose half board you can decide each day whether or have lunch or your evening meal which works well if you are having days out at the various attractions. My children are sadly growing too old for the mini disco each evening and some of the entertainment wasn't always to our taste- (one of the singers seemed to hide behind his computer!!) but there is plenty of entertainment to be had in close proximity to the hotel. We can recommend both Tropical and Sinatras bars and a night a the Benidorm Palace is a must! The children's rides in the centre of Benidorm are also a must with little ones. There are plenty of sun beds and we would comment each afternoon on the pile of untouched sun beds piled up in a corner of the pool area. There are always a few people (usually British!!) who queue each morning for an hour before the pool opens but there is really no need. My only negatives would be that we sometimes struggled to find a table for 4 in the dining room- there were often tables set for 3 with 3 chairs and setting but very few 4s and when we sat at larger tables for 6 this didn't go down well with the staff! We also struggled to get served with drinks on a few times at the evening meal- the staff were busy counting their tips!! All in all a fantastic holiday! Collapse

We've been here about four times in the last eight years. I originally picked it as I don't do heights and it only has three floors. Rooms are really nice and the pool is fantastic. If you're put off by the fact it is in Benidorm then don't be as it is on the outskirts and there are a lot of nice villages in the other direction with bars and local restaurants. We tend to go in September when the kids are back at school but it is a good family hotel which is split into quarter blocks. They tend to segregate us lot into one block leaving families to roam free. I've made it sound like a prison but that wasn't my intention as I really like this hotel Collapse
