AMAZING and LUXURIOUS hotel, the service was great - check in/out was so smooth, the staff were so friendly, the restaurant had amazing food - so much variety and fresh food- all healthy with good vegetarian options - the waiters went above and beyond on my birthday by singing happy birthday, baking a cake and giving a lovely glass of champagne. the hotel is so spacious and so CLEAN, the room is beautiful - we had a sea view room, the spa was only 10 euros to use for the whole day, the beach is literally a 2 min walk from the hotel which you have to pay for 1 euros a day, the pool is huge so enough space to lounge around there if you dont want to pay for the beach.the marina is only a 15 minute walk away where you can book excursions- definitely recommend the benajil cave excursion - such beautiful sites in Portugal to see. Its a nice place for families and theres a kids pool so if you want to relax you can be away from the kids. Overall, if your looking for a clean, posh, not too quiet/loud place to relax - this is definitely for you. Collapse

Firstly, this is a good, clean hotel, but it's not a 5 Star resort. Our air conditioned room is spacious and well presented with a large bed, very good shower and good bathroom facilities. It also has a balcony, but for some reason only one chair. Unfortunately, the large bed has been a real pain, because the mattress is so hard and they do not offer an alternative, despite me explaining I have a spinal injury, so beware fellow sufferers! The Pool area is well laid out with decking right around it. The sun loungers are very comfortable (better than the bed!) with a very good parasol for each couple. There are also less plush loungers laid on the grassed surrounding area. Unfortunately, there are some real antics to getting any one of these sun beds, with people keeping towels overnight & getting up early to grab their favoured spot! Not very conducive to a relaxing holiday, especially as the Hotel staff are not able (or interested) in resolving the issue, because there are just not enough loungers? Whilst there is the main beach just a short walk out of the enclosed gardens, you have to pay 8euros/lounger and end up sand blasted and sore from the hard plastic beds. There is Pool & play area for younger families away from the main Pool, which is a really good idea and helps minimise the screaming children syndrome (we've all been there), though I'd hate to think what this place would be like in high season. The self service buffet Breakfast has a great range of very fresh fruit and warm English style food, though the omelettes are cooked to order, whilst you stand there. We've also eaten in the outside restaurant and the food was good, though a bit expensive. Being asked to pay 2euros for coffee in the room & 4 euros for a bottle of water just seems mean to us, as the rooms are not inexpensive and they must make it up from the bar drinks! All in all, it's not a bad hotel, but we're out of season and it's still quite noisy and the loungers are all taken! Collapse

We stayed for six days at this hotel. The hotel is spacious and very comfortable.the staff were very helpful and made every effort to make our stay enjoyable. The room was large and airy with a balcony with a side sea view & outlook over the nearby town of Quarteira.. 1125 was comfortable and airy. The temperature soared while we were ther so the AC & room fan were in full use at times. Breakfast was a feast & evening meals were of a high standard if you didn't want to both with the short walk into Vilamoura. The pools were lovely and just the right temperature for such a hot week away. A hotel for families or couples or groups. Beautiful seperate children's pool too. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. I would recommend it Collapse

Just spent a week here with my wife, all in all it was great. The staff were fantastic throughout the hotel , genuinely friendly. The hotel is first class, it gets packed with golfers at the weekend but that is to be expected. The pool is massive with loads of loungers. We spent 5 days on the beach which is a few minutes across the road, it costs €16.40 per couple for 2 loungers and a parasol. The beach is gorgeous! Breakfast buffet was excellent with loads of everything. The bar downstairs is well stocked for any drink and the draft bock (local lager) here was the best in Vilamoura. Check in is easy and comfortable, we were in our rooms within a few minutes of arrival. The Hotel is about a ten minute walk to the marina where we found the quality of restaurants very good. Again, at weekends the golfers take over all the bars, Monday to Thursday the crowds are more family and couples. Apart from a little bit of towel, lounger stealing/moving at the pool everything was great and I would well recommend visiting the Crowne Plaza for a holiday. Collapse

We were in Vilamoura for a family birthday. We were all in different hotels and I'm so pleased we chose the Crowne Plaza. Very stylish and beautifully cool indoors. The gardens are well landscaped and the pool is large. Only niggles are the lack of sun beds on hot days. There would have been plenty but many people felt entitled to leave towels and not reappear until hours later! On the last day we were annoyed enough to lay towels out for an hour whilst breakfasting and packing - I felt quite guilty but fed up of NO beds. The breakfast was great. Fresh orange juice, lots of fruit and lovely omelettes. As a veggie it was fine. We only had lunch on the last day. The veggie wrap was rather tasteless and cold. The white sangria was fab. Our room on the 5th floor was great. Facing east with a view of the next town and lots of sea. The bed was comfortable but bathroom was a bit weird with lots of glass so the blind was going up and down regularly - a bit of a pain; BUT the shower was fab and the mirrors were plentiful. The towels were rather poor quality - in odd contrast to the nice beach towels. The room was cleaned very well each day. There was an ice machine on the 4th floor which we made good use of and the fridge was efficient! My partner used the gym several times and found it small but adequate. Out of the hotel - loved the beach although the sun bed charges were for half a day so we arrived at 11:30 and were told we were paying until 14:30 only! The sea was occasionally choppy but I loved it. Vilamoura - lots of eateries but less expensive off of the main harbour area. As a veggie it was a bit of a struggle. It gets very crowded walking back at night around the marina. All in all it was a good holiday and I'd stay at the Crowne Plaza again. Collapse
