Like other reviewers we were surprised to find that 5 mins from the train station actually means 15 min in a taxi in the opposite direction from the city centre and tourist attractions. The staff were helpful in advising on bus routes to and from the centre so the location proved less of a problem than first impressions but with the last bus back before 9pm, we certainly couldn't linger in town to avoid getting an expensive taxi. We also experienced noise from the event hall which was outside our room, but more frustrating was the permanently on light by the toilet which I think is intended as a safety feature but with a glass door ended up illuminating the bedroom when I like a complete blackout. This is clearly a problem for others as it was immediately resolved when I called reception by the application of tape over the light! Bed was very comfortable and we did get a good nights sleep. Lovely spa facilities which were deserted so we took full advantage. Friendly helpful staff. Collapse

The hotel has nice rooms and a medium level restaurant The hotel has a event hall at the backyard which was at our stay used for a Indian marriage party Here starts the mess as you will find yourself not finding any parking around the hotel anymore and the noise from the party is that loud that you feel sitting next to them As we were with our 6 years old child we moved out at 12:00 in the night as it was not possible to find sleep The hotel just keeping telling in 15 min all is over but after 1 hour we gave up and moved out WLAN has to be paid and is slow like in the past in poor hotels Would never come back for sure Collapse

A bit taken back by the location, but otherwise, a lovely modern hotel. Hotel have regular free shuttle into the city centre, but these stop at 7pm. Taxi is approx EUR 12.50 in the evening. We were pleased to be able to park in underground car park for free. Quick drive from airport and only a couple of minutes from the Milan Venice Autostrada. About 25 minutes drive to Lake Garda. This was our second stay at this business hotel within 300 metres of the back entrance of Veronafiere. I was recognised as a Platinum elite member at the time of check in & upgraded to a superior room. Stayed here for 6 nights & absolutely no regrets for our choice. Though the place becomes pretty steeply priced on peak fair days... but so is the situation with almost every property which are in any kind of proximity to Veronafiere. For a little more premium - the difference of stay one experiences is quite good. Luxurious bed, excellent shower area, a functional work desk, modern exteriors & pleasing interiors, all 5* facilities & most importantly - convenience of parking, which is such a big fuss if you want to stay near arena. This place is hardly 5-7 min drive from Arena & costs about 10-12 euro if you take a taxi. Coming to missings - - a partially equipped gym (no cross trainer) - absolutely same breakfast everyday. - quality of shower accessories could be improvised. (Shower gel specially) - the room cleaning staff was not doing their job properly. Even the basic amenity of everyday water was not replenished. However - The front desk staff team headed by Barbara was absolutely delightful to converse with & get your queries / questions sorted. A special kudos to Pietro & Ana at front desk - who are always smiling & ready to assist on almost anything you seek. Verdict - if you can afford & have a convenient exhibition time, don't look further than crowne plaza. Collapse

Stayed at this hotel from 7th to 14th Sept with my wife. The sad thing about this hotel is that it is not in a very nice part of town. It would be OK for a business stay, but not good for a personal stay. Facilities near the hotel are mainly poor, but there is an excellent cafe next door, which unfortunately is closed at weekends. It also has a lot of derelict factory buildings located nearby which aren't pleasant to see or walk by if you take the approx 3km, 40 minute walk into Verona. This is not a walk you would want to do in the dark! On a plus note, the hotel operates a shuttle bus offering free transport to and from Verona, but the travel times are limited and last transport back was 7:15pm. The view from our room was not good, but fortunately there was an electric blind that could be pulled down to block the view. For those that like a cooked breakfast, the selection of food was poor consisting of scrambled egg, boiled egg, "bacon," hash brown, a slimy mushroom concoction, mini sausages. To add insult to injury most of it was usually luke warm, which became cold half way through eating it. Even the continental selection was limited. Items were regularly running out and not proactively being replenished. However, if you like sugary cakes for breakfast you're on a winner. Evening meals were OK, but as usual in Italy very expensive compared to the UK. Our room was clean and tidy, but lacked enough drawer space. The door to the bathroom was frosted glass and could be seen through. Not what you want when sitting on the toilet which happens to be right by the glass door. It would appear not much thought has gone into individual privacy. Beds and bedding are very comfortable. On one occasion our room was not cleaned and made up for some reason. On reporting this to the reception they were very apologetic and immediately sorted the problem. We found the staff very friendly and helpful and are a credit to the hotel. The hotel has a small gym area and a small pool area which is on the top floor. The pool water was a lovely warm temperature and the pool has several hydrotherapy features which were nice and relaxing. Would I stay at this hotel again? If on business, yes. For holiday / leisure, no. Collapse
