Really, really bad customer service. Check in awful, staff unfriendly ( like I was annoying them by checking in or asking questions ). Lengthy wait at check in. Our Parking needs were never addressed; I didn't even get a chance to ask about parking as I was summarily dismissed by staff. Pool was not maintained. Stated it opened at 7 am. Wanted to get in a swim before our flight. There were no clean towels, dirty towels littered the change room and pool area, and the staff member was rude when I informed him that the cleaning machine was still in the pool at 7:10 am. The room didn't have a bottle opener and one of the glasses was dirty despite having a paper cap on it. It had something white in it. I really hope it was soap residue. I'd never recommend this hotel. I've stayed at the Sheraton closer to the airport and it was infinitely better. Nice "name" but this hotel doesn't live up to the expectations of a "plaza". Collapse

Comfortable bed, free Wi-Fi, nice hot shower. Good breakfast menu. Didn't have time to check the other facilities during this stay. Staff seemed friendly all around. Looking forward to another visit soon.

This hotel was an unexpected stay for me and you couldn't pay me to stay there again. I had missed a flight because of complications at the airport so stayed here one night only to get some rest for another day of travel. Upon check-in, pleasantries were made apparent not to be the staff members' strong suit. No "hello", "good evening", or even a simple "hi" was offered. Instead the first thing he said to me was "is that a pet?", referring to my clearly labeled and well behaved service dog. I explained that he was a service animal and offered to provide paperwork as proof. Instead he checked me in, gave me a key and then handed me a "pet waiver" to sign. While I am more than happy to sign off on things like keeping the dog on a leash when in common areas and clean up after them should they have an accident, he was also expecting me to sign off on things like the animal is not to access parts of the hotel such as the dining areas, etc. This is something that is clearly a violation of the law and I did sign the paper but made sure to write a note on it that I was NOT agreeing to the points that were not applicable to a service dog. I got in the elevator and when it opened on my floor I cringed. The hallway was grungy and worn. When I opened the door to my room I felt like I had went back in time...like way back. I'm not talking like funky retro good stuff, this was creepy more than anything. It was cramped and the carpet was worn almost to the underlay in most places. The furniture appeared older than me and was so mismatched it felt like I was renting a room that had been furnished piece by piece by visiting various thrift stores. There was no mini fridge in the room which is standard in most hotels. I checked for bedbugs and was pleasantly surprised when I found none so i got ready to sleep. It was at this point that I really wished I had packed some soap as the stuff supplied by the hotel stank like dirty old man. I had ordered breakfast to be brought to my room in the morning but really just wanted a glass of juice to start the day. I didn't think toast and juice could go so wrong. The juice was non-existant. I was served a coffee though only one sugar to accompany it. Toast was not toast but bread. I usually like my toast very lightly toasted, but It really seemed like the bread came straight out of the bag and onto my plate. The only thing to spread onto this bread wasn't your typical peanut butter and or jam but marmalade. That's it! Just marmalade. Maybe they thought I could add this to a glass of tap water and make my own juice? I will give them credit though, they did give me an extra muffin! Checkout happened with a different staff member who shared the same lackluster enthusiasm as the one the night before, but whatever, I was eager to just get home, or anywhere that I could take a shower with soap that didn't make me gag, at this point. To top things off, I just noticed on my credit card statement that I was charged upon checkout, but just today (almost a week later) was charged even more, though for what I'm not sure and will be contacting them about it. Needless to say, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will not be visiting myself ever again. Collapse

Stayed here with my son in July 2017. Was greeted at front desk with kess than pleasant welcme, but not hostile, just glum. Was not provided any information about parking, breakfast or any other amenities. Pool is a bit on the small side, but change room is clean and fresh towels available. Room was surprisingly small, two double beds are decent for only one person each. Coffee maker had two coffee packs, two tea, no decaf. Bathroom is small. The entire room is tigh on space. No mini fridge, ver minimal drawer space. Otherwise supply of consumables was adequate. In room thermostat was very good. Room was clean. Parking was $15 per day. I would probably look for a better option next time. Collapse

I would like to offer 3 and 1/2 stars, but that choice was not available. It was better than good, somewhat less than very good! My room was well-appointed and very clean. I immediately noticed that nothing was lacking! I know that may sound strange, but my experiences have almost always been that the first thing I must do upon entering is to call the front desk to report missing hangers, towels, washcloths, coffee or whatever else. I was very pleased, while tired, late and anxious to settle-in, not to have had to place that call! I was placed in a quiet location as requested and being very sound-sensitive I was thrilled not to hear even the planes. Check-in and out were quick and easy. The only area which I found NOT to be satisfactory were my dealings with the front desk, repeatedly and not dependent on specific clerks. I truly found the employees to be very strict, hard, cold and rigid, no matter what the request (needing small amount of cash and wanting it charged to my hotel bill or debit card, (not wanting to use a foreign ATM), requesting a newspaper which is advertised as delivered daily to each door but isn't and more importantly being repeatedly refused a late checkout, despite it being Sunday, the day that most checkouts take place! My conference was ending at 3:00 p.m. Checkout was noon. I asked for 3:00 p.m., not to have to rush and checkout while I had to get to the conference. I STAYED THREE NIGHTS - would it have been a big deal to grant me that small courtesy? I had to argue and argue, being offered 1:00 p.m. and then 2:00 p.m., neither of which could help when I'm at the conference until 3:00 p.m.!!! I was finally made to sign-up for their loyalty program, the only way they would allow a 3:00 p.m. checkout and then locked me out of the room by cancelling the key when I returned to get my things. Had to go back down five floors and to the other end to get the key reprogrammed. These are the little extras that make or break a hotel's rating. It's called "pleasing a guest" and that carries over far and wide. One other issue that lowers my ratings is the restaurant in the hotel. Very inefficiently run! The food is very good, but the menu is small and quite limited, unless you eat everything. For instance, if you don't eat shellfish, this will exclude a number of choices. It also takes much too long to order, be served and then get the bill without asking three times! Being there as part of a conference left little time to wait endlessly to be seated, served and pay. I was there four days (three nights) and it never changed throughout - always a struggle! There are other outside places to eat, but not enough time to get there and back between sessions. Room Tip: Ask for quiet location if you are quiet. There are also more modern rooms available as well as accessible ones... See more room tips Stayed June 2017, traveled on business Collapse
