My husband and I wanted to spend a fun night away so we booked a night at the Crowne Plaza. We checked in around 4 and was greeted with friendly staff. Soon after we checked in, we noticed our bed sheets were dirty (red spots on them) and called down to have them changed. The staff person apologized and said they would be changed right away. My husband and I left for the night and upon our return around 12am we saw clean sheets sitting on our counter top while the dirty spotted sheets were still on the bed. We called down to the front desk to inquire why we still have dirty sheets and was treated with the most rude customer service representative I have ever encountered. Russel from the front desk told me that housekeeping is gone and there is no one to change our sheets. He proceeded to say that he supposes security could come up but “they don’t know how to make a bed.” He was abrupt and rude and didn’t offer a solution. I went downstairs to talk to someone, but it was this same gentleman and he was even more rude and threating. He refused to understand why I was upset that the sheets that appeared to be bloody were still on our bed and finally I left when he said “fine, this leaves me to only have security come up and check how dirty your sheets are” I couldn’t even believe this conversation. I was only looking for clean sheets. My husband and I changed the sheets and the next morning spoke with a manager who did apologize, however, I left the hotel crying and upset for the way Russel responded and treated me when we complained we still had blood stained sheets on our bed when we told the hotel 6 hours previously. I travel a GREAT deal in my profession. I stay at all varieties of Hotels across many chains. I am looking for a clean, comfortable place to hang my hat for a few days. When you find a place like the Crowne Plaza Orlando Downtown that offers all of that, PLUS some of the most attentive and friendly staff...well...thats a "winner" in my book. Front Desk staff that treated me like I was a VIP checking into an exclusive resort. Restaurant staff (John, Suzy, Megan, and Savannah) who are unbelievably attentive. The there was Ms. Betty. 8th Floor Housekeeping. As I walked to my room at checkin, Ms Betty greeted me with a huge smile and introduced herself. As we struck up a conversation she acknowledged that I had a "diverse" schedule during any given day and wanted to know when the best time for "me" was to clean the room. Some of you road warriors are familiar with the fact that Housekeeping really needs to set priorities as far as which rooms are cleaned first. Obviously "turn-over" rooms are the most important followed by rooms that are occupied by longer term guests. The mere fact Ms. Betty wanted to make my stay all that more convenient for me..was highly appreciated. She was at my room exactly when she told me she would be everyday of my stay. Obviously, there are always hiccups and "things" that happen. But I can pretty much say with confidence, these things will NOT be a result of inattentive staff or a lack of guest appreciation. Not at this hotel. Well done Crowne Plaza Orlando Downtown. I WILL be back. Collapse

This is my 2nd time coming to Orlando for work in the last month and I stayed here.. the rooms are very clean and the staff is super friendly. The location is odd... it sits on a corner off of some construction going on.. they have self parking for free for gov. Rate .. and offer valet if you choose. Breakfast buffet included with my stay and it was pretty good.. offered variety and also had made to order egg station. They will do omelettes to your liking .. juice and coffee included.. happy hour 4-7 with $3.00 domestic beer and house wines.. food is good in the bistro as I had dinner there two nights in a row and even took dinner to my room one night. It is about a mile from downtown so you can’t really walk there but it’s a few minute drive.. easy to hop on the highway from the hotel. Photos attached of the breakfast buffet area and my egg white omelette and a turkey club from the bistro. They have pretty good pub chips! Collapse

Having spent the better part of last month at this hotel on an extended business trip, I found myself dining in the hotel bar and restaurant most nights. The draw... some excellent food (try the Caesar Salad with salmon) and one of the best margaritas I've ever experienced. With Domingo and Stephen (who knows his tequilas) there, you're in good hands! The self-serve snack area is nice too, with a good variety. Collapse

Great room, very clean, friendly staff. But watch you bill and your reservations. The web site was not accepting my email as valid so I called the 1800 number and made my reservation but who ever made the reservation over the phone for me did not include the hot breakfast and several other things that were highlighted in yellow.... (Hot breakfast+ect+ect) so to my suprise when I got a $32.00 bill for a basic breaflkfast I was very upset when I learned that was not part of my reservation. Also when I was at the front desk a customer was disputing a parking charge for several days qhen they never had a car which was resolved immediately. Collapse
