I was staying here for a wedding/honeymoon trip. On the morning of what was to be my wedding day, the valet service couldn't find our car. They told us 15-20 minutes. After 30 minutes we inquired about the wait and were told it's on its way. After another 15 minutes, we asked again and were told the same thing. Finally, after an hour of waiting, I demanded to know what was going on. I heard the guy at the desk call in on his radio and the guy on the other end said: "we still can't find it". I had to take a cab and ended up missing my appointment for my own wedding and was told I would have to reschedule my ceremony. My bride to be was crushed and I was furious. The hotel did upgrade us to a suite, comp one nights stay, and buy us dinner at the Bourbon House. Of course, I did not pay for the valet service either. I suppose they made an adequate attempt at rectifying the situation but how do you fix making someone miss their wedding. We were only in town to get married and that didn't happen. If the Valet would have told us what was going on earlier instead of insisting that the car was on it's way, I could have at least made other arrangements sooner and I could have still gotten married. This was a very, very disappointing trip. Other than that the hotel was great. The rooms were clean, the staff was very helpful, other than the valet service which was the worst I have ever encountered, and the location of the hotel was perfect for what I had planned. If it were not for this egregious error I would rate the hotel highly, but once again, they caused me to miss my wedding! There is no coming back from that one!! There were loud people in the hallway late one night that woke us up with their revelry but it is Bourbon st so I didn't fault the hotel for that. Collapse

The hotel is located at the corner of Canal and Bourbon streets. The location is convenient if you want to be close to the chaos of Bourbon street. The front desk is very inefficient. There are always lines in front with people either checking in or out. The rooms are fair but there is no minibar or amenities. The shampoo and bodywash come from a dispenser that barely work. There is a bar and a restaurant in the hotel however they also run inefficiently. They say they are swamped when there are only 12 tables occupied. The buffet is limited and it takes them forever to fill empty trays. I had to wait 45 minutes for an omelet as it took longer for them to fill the scrambled eggs and bacon trays. They bring coffee but no cream, cream but no utensils and you have to ask for every item since they can not use any initiative. They act like you are inconveniencing them when you ask for something. The bar has a nice selection of bourbons. The bartender lady is very nice and service sometimes is better here but as a hotel the management sucks! Even if you are a IHG Platinum Elite don't expect to be treated different as they do not care nor honor the promises. There is no security. Outside is a mess as you see the crazies of the city harassing the guests but nobody says anything. Sometimes they lay down in front of the hotel smoking and/or urinating. The bell desk is having their own party singing and dancing so I had to carry my own bags. I did see some of them helping guests but you have to have your own car for a guaranteed tip. The pool is small and dirty. The water is like a cloudy blue and you don't even see the steps. The GM is obviously a desk jockey and clueless because no good manager would allow this to happen. What a waste! Collapse

We checked in late on a Wednesday night and were told we would have NO water until the morning. Really?! I think a complimentary beverage or maybe breakfast would have softened that blow. Instead, we got two bottles of warm water. Also, the room didn't seem clean...the bathtub had a long brown hair in it. Also, I didn't bring shampoo/conditioner because hotels provide. There were no individually labeled bottles, but dispensers attached to bathtub. That would have been okay, except for two were labeled shampoo, and one was labeled conditioner. So...not sure if I put conditioner or body wash on my hair. The price was cheap...but wouldn't recommend this hotel, or choose to stay here again. Collapse
