I only arrived back from Cyprus in the early hours of this morning and already I am thinking of my 11th visit! The hotel is superb and benefits from exceptional staff who ensure that a stay is unforgettable. I cannot highlight any particular staff member as all are equally first class and remember us every time we visit. The hotel and its grounds provide an oasis of calm that ensures that a stay will be very relaxing. My daily swim from the hotel steps to the breakwater was enlivened by the kingfishers flying at very low level across the water. I would also suggest an early morning walk along the beach - the locals all look good on it! I cannot recommend the Crowne Plaza Limassol highly enough. Collapse

Have just spent a week at the Crowne Plaza. Great hotel whose staff cannot do enough to help. the rooms are excellent, try and get a sea view if you can as you will have a balcony. The food was very good and would definitely consider going back.

Is this a Crowne Plaza or an InterContinental - being an avid traveler of IHG - and fortunately one of their Senior employees - I have to admit the standard of the hotel is more than 4* - quality, service, everything! Before we had even arrived, we had a great experience dealing with Jennifer in Reservations - who made everything so easy - let alone her efficiency. She even kindly arranged for us to be upgraded to a Sea View room which was much appreciated. I know those in admin are often not mentioned here but I do have to start by commending Jennifer who is an asset to your hotel. Upon arrival to the airport, we picked up a taxi which charged us €75 - from Paphos to the hotel (the normal fare is around €60, but it was late and we were tired so I couldn't be bothered arguing!). There are limited bus options - but with a weird timetable, we opted for the more efficient option! When we arrived at the hotel - we were checked in by such a lovely lady by the name of Katherina (I believe!). She was friendly, pleasant and ever so helpful - even suggesting what we could do during our time in Cyprus - and we eventually took her up on two of the tours ran by Ascot for the Monday and Tuesday. She too was superb - and the hotel should be very privileged to have such a professional in their team. However, our first night was far from perfect - we were checked in to a room on the 5th floor - but sadly a noisy bunch were placed above us, who insisted on shouting, screaming, laughing - even moving furniture around until after 2am when I couldn't take it any more - the Night manager sent security but to no avail - and in the end we were moved room to sleep in for the night, returning to our original room the following morning as our noisy neighbors from above were due to depart. The way the hotel handled the situation was remarkable, but sadly not from the Night Manager - as I was the one who had to prompt the room move albeit he was very apologetic. The next morning I had a call from the Duty Manager who wanted to meet - and she too was lovely - asking what she could do to enhance our stay, but as I mentioned, working in hotels I know some of these things are outside of their control - hence I know it wasn't their fault - although an offer of a complimentary breakfast or dinner topped the service off with 5 stars! Anyhow, I don't want to dwell too much on that initial experience as like I say - from then on, it returned to perfection! The room was airy, comfortable, spacious, clean - it had amazing sea views plus the balcony overlooked the lounge and terrace - but fear not, the only noise you could really hear was the relaxing waves crashing the rocks, or indeed the musical instruments outside on the terrace which accompanied early diners or those having relaxing drinks outside - with themed nights i.e. piano, violin, guitar etc. However, even this noise does stop at a reasonable time so not to disturb guests beyond around 9/10pm. We ate and drank at most of the outlets - and I have to say - the quality of the food and beverages was second to none. I truly recommend everything - we sampled quite a few things on the various menus - and I honestly cannot say a bad word about it. Credit to your chefs and the F&B team - particularly some of the guys in the bar / lounge who made our stay even more enjoyable by talking to us about the history of the island and encouraging us to pick up a little bit of the lingo! The pool and private beach were again great experiences, although if fearful of cats - you may want to reconsider hanging around outdoors - but that's not a hotel problem, I'm told it's a serious epidemic across the island - stray cats are everywhere - they don't come near you or do any harm, but they do linger around - hoping you'll feed them! Don't - or you'll be sorry, be it a cat-lover or not! The hotel is around 10 mins drive to the town (I'm told most hotels are anyway). There is a bus stop a few mins walk away - in front of Debenhams, from where bus 30 will take you towards to Old Town, passing the Marina, Port and onto My Mall - apparently the biggest shopping mall on the whole island. It has a wide range of stores, including some comforts from home such as M&S. It's easy enough to get the same bus number back - following the same route in reverse and it stops just in front of a Circus - which is now going to be a permanent fixture. Check it out - and what's more, for families - it's just across the road from the hotel! All in all - one of the best IHG hotels I've stayed in. Like I say, I've been fortunate enough to travel a lot, making the most of staff rates - but whilst this is a Crowne Plaza, it really is on par with some of the InterContinental hotels I've stayed in - including those in London! A massive thanks to all of the staff for a great experience, most of which was memorable for all the right reasons! 5* product but above all, quality and service! Collapse

The hotel has an excellent position being on the beach and within walking distance of the town itself. The grounds are very pleasant and include a good size pool and outside eating areas and a safe, sandy beach. The rooms are spacious, well appointed with balcony. The magnificent sea view is really worth the extra cost! The rooms are fully equipped with everything that you might need. Safe box, mini bar, coffee/tea facilities with complimentary chocolates and biscuits, bath robes and slippers. There is good free wifi throughout the hotel. The bathroom is large with a complete set of amenities. The beds are extremely comfortable contributing immensely to your relaxation. Staff were very friendly and helpful and all in all our stay was most enjoyable. Only "complaint"was that although our reservation included a platter of fruit, there were none on arrival. It took 3 reminders and a 5 hour wait for them to arrive! Hope to visit again soon. Collapse
