I stayed here Friday 14th to Sunday 16th July 2017. I had a Standard Queen room on the 4th floor. The room was a decent size, clean and comfortable. The bed was excellent by hotel standards. I only purchased breakfast on one day however I found it delicious. I felt the breakfast was quite pricey (£20.20) considering how much I ate but as it is a buffet if you eat a large amount it is well worth every penny. The staff were friendly and the hotel was located in an excellent position for surrounding entertainment and transport. I would definitely stay here again. Collapse

This was my first time in Helsinki. The front desk staff made my stay in this city much easier. They gave me advice where to go; what bus / tram to take to get to my destination and back to the hotel. One of the front desk staff even recommended to me getting the Helsinki Card and another recommended me taking the Finnair bus to get to the airport -- what great advice. Thank you. I was given a room on the 6th floor. It roomy, cozy and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was big but the tub was a little bit too high to get into. The room was always clean everytime I get back from a long day and fresh water and to pieces of chocolate are provided. There is a ref as well as a kettle for coffee and tea present. The food for the buffet is OK, there are choices but they could improve on the quality and variety. The choices were the same everyday. The great thing about this hotel is its location. Right in front of the hotel is a nice park. Walking distance from it is the National Museum, the Opera House, Music Hall, Modern Art Museum, the Olympic Stadium etc. There is also a nearby grocery. When you are ready to go to the airport, just take the Finair Bus to the airport which stops across the hotel. There is also a bus stop as well as a tram station closeby Collapse

We stayed here for four nights in July and had booked 2 Club Level rooms for our daughters and ourselves. On arrival the computer system was down and they had no record of our booking. This was just the start of a series of things that didn't go quite as we hoped. The booking was resurrected but then we were told that in July the Club lounge didn't function for breakfast. We were offered the buffet breakfast in the main restaurant which on the face of it seemed an excellent alternative. The club lounge did offer a minimal range of snacks from 6 - 8pm, but every evening it was the same: small wraps filled with lettuce and I think tuna and mayo and some brie cheese with chutney. There were some pretzels, nuts, rice crackers, biscuits and sweets - again the same selection every night. There was one choice of white and one of red wine, some canned beer but no spirits. Some whole fruits and coffee and tea. The service was generally poor with dirty dishes piling up on many occasions and food not being replaced on a regular basis. During the week it is a good idea to get there early if you want to get any food! The bedrooms were adequate for our needs, quite roomy with a comfortable bed and reasonable sized bathroom. The shower was fairly basic but powerful enough, though it tended to spray over the floor. There was tea, coffee and hot chocolate on offer and every day we were provided with bottled water and a small chocolate - a nice touch. The real disappointment was the breakfast buffet. During the week the eating area was run very efficiently with tables cleared quickly, food replenished and coffee or tea brought quickly to our table. The latter, however, tended to be only lukewarm when served and it was marginally hotter to make your own at the machine provided. At the weekend, however, the breakfast service seemed inadequately staffed with food split on the floor left uncleared, as were used dishes on tables vacated. In fact no-one came anywhere near us on our last morning to ask if we wished to have tea or coffee. I would also advise against sampling the porridge. We had noticed it had a lot of salt in it but on the last morning there was so much in it that it was inedible! Hot meal requests from the chef at the hot food counter were produced very quickly but because of lack of staff they were often not delivered to table before they became cold. On one occasion my daughter waited patiently for her poached eggs for about 15 minutes only to discover when she went to enquire from the chef if they had been cooked that they had been sitting on the bench waiting for a member of staff to bring them to table for 10 minutes. Inevitably they were cold and hard by the time she collected them. The hotel is in a good location for bus routes into the town centre or within a relatively easy half hour walk from Market Square. On checking out of the hotel there was another problem - this time with our bill, possibly again as a result of a computer glitch! There was a lot of apologising by reception staff and admission it was their fault that a mix up had occurred but little attempt to provide a satisfactory outcome or offer to compensate us for their mistake. Eventually after about 20 minutes of 'discussion' and consultation with the manager, a 30% discount on a meal we had eaten on the first night was offered. We have stayed in a number of Crowne Plaza hotels in various European cities and we were disappointed this one did not live up to our expectations in so many ways. Collapse

I stayed here for bussiness for 4 nights. The rooms are clean but a bit dated, specially the bathrooms and the furniture. My bathtub didnt even have a glass, but a courtain which I feel is not very hygenic to have at a hotel. The closet was small and very uncomfortable. The bed was ok, and the room was clean enough. The breakfast buffet is nice, but the waiters and people at front desk are not. We needed to be out of the hotel at 7:30 on a Sunday for a conference, and they werent capable of opening the buffet a bit earlier for us to grab a coffee and a danish and get going, so we ended up being late for the conference thanks to the "nice" people at the hotel. Not a four star experience, I would stay some place else. Collapse
