Stayed here for one night in between cities and met up with some friends. Excellent dining (the steak was fabulous) and bar was great. Location is also well in the centre of M40, M25, etc. Will stay there again for sure.

Stayed here for 3 nights last week with work. Uxbridge is half an hour drive away in the heavy morning and evening traffic. The staff were all excellent and really helpful. Check in quick and simple. Room was comfortable and the first night a great temperature, with the air con set at 21 it was cool which I prefer. After the cleaners came next day though it was set at 24 (not sure why they changed it) and too warm for me but I couldn't get it to change settings. I struggled for a few hours trying to sleep, finally giving up and ringing reception at 2am. They tried to change the temp centrally but it took over half an hour for the temperature to drop, then an hour later it was back up again. Didn't get any sleep all night. Reported it the following morning and expected it to be fixed when I returned that evening but it wasn't. In all fairness the manager then spent an hour getting it sorted for me, finally managing to take the lock off the controller in the room and reset the temperature so I had a better nights sleep on the final night. This should have been done following my complaint that morning though. The shower was good, towels fluffy but there's a bit of a lack of storage in the bathroom. Food in the bar and restaurant is good, and the breakfasts good quality. There's parking in front of the hotel, but make sure you don't leave anything on display - one morning the car next to me had its driver side window smashed from someone breaking into it. I was there 3 days with no issues, but am careful not to leave anything of any value in the car. I enjoyed my stay, despite the blip with the air con, and thought this hotel offered a good option for when I have to work in Uxbridge. Collapse

My wife and I stayed here for one night while visiting friends in the area. We last stayed here two years ago during the renovations to becoming a Crowne Plaza. We had to wait a few minutes to check in as the hotel seemed very busy (a good sign), but the staff are courteous and efficient. The rooms are very modern and well equipped with high quality fixtures and fittings. My only complaints would be that the bed was too soft for my liking (although that is quite subjective) and maybe the sink in the bathroom is a little bit form over function as the tap is too close to the back of the bowl. The room also had a fridge with complimentary items that consisted of two cans of Coke (regular and diet) and a two finger Kitkat. There was, however, also a bottle of mostly drunk orange juice. I'm not sure whether the cleaners had not replenished an item that should be there or if they hadn't removed it after being left by a previous guest. There was also bottles of still and sparkling water, two packets of biscuits and a good selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate next to the good-sized kettle. The room also contained a safe, iron/ironing board and robes and slippers. Breakfast in the morning was incredibly good and brilliant value for money. There was an extensive selection of hot and cold food, juices, fruit, yogurts, cereals, pastries etc. The hot food selection alone had two types of bacon (back and streaky), two types of sausage (Cumberland and plain pork), fried and scrambled eggs, black pudding, beans, mushrooms and tomatoes. Coffee was brought separately by the waiting staff and was very good quality. The hotel is only 5 minutes from the M40 between Beaconsfield and Gerrards Cross and would probably also make a good stopover before flying from Heathrow. Collapse

The reason we booked a short break was a simple one - we were having a really difficult year and needed to unwind and relax, with somebody else taking care of the mundane stuff like cleaning our room and feeding us. When i booked online i asked if there was anything they could do to make this stay a little bit more special for my partner and i. When we arrived to check in i found out that we had been upgraded to a Club Room, which gave us unlimited access to the Club Lounge, which served free tea, coffee and snacks plus light breakfast items and alcohol between 7.30pm and 11pm. It also gave us free mini bar in the room. I was delighted with this as it really showed they had understood how important this break was to us. From then on nothing was too much trouble for the excellent staff and receptionists especially. So kind, helpful and polite, we felt like royalty. When we got to the room we saw that the housekeeping staff had even gone to the trouble of making swans out of our towels, such a lovely thought and looked so romantic. I was so pleased and felt really chuffed that my partner had a lovely first sight when she went into the room. We had breakfast in the restaurant on the following morning and to our surprise we found that we were sharing the hotel that weekend with the Leicester City football team...my partner even bumped into Jamie Vardy walking past reception who was lovely and said "hi". The following day we even sat in the lounge with them just before they were due to depart for one of their crunch matches to secure the title, we sat with them watching the Arsenal game, biting our fingernails with them! The next morning we ate a light breakfast in the Club Lounge as breakfast in the restaurant was £18 each, which is a little pricey, but it did provide hot and cold options and the food was well-cooked and tasty. Continental was £14. The Wave spa was very well equipped and we couldn't believe it when we seemed to have the entire pool to ourselves as luck would have it one afternoon. There was also a sauna and steam room to use near the pool area. All in all a wonderful stay, just what we needed and we even had a little tear in our eye on the last night in our room as we knew we were going home to our stress. The only negative i could put was the restaurant is very overpriced for what you got and my dessert option was a mistake as i ordered something i hadn't had before and didn't like - but how can you blame a hotel for that? Would stay again in a heartbeat, but my only concern would be that it wouldn't surpass our experience this time. Thank you to everyone. Collapse
