The Crowne Plaza Lumpini Park is a phenomenal choice for a hotel in Bangkok. Location: the hotel is 2 mins walking to Sala Deng BTS station and is very close to a neaby metro. For first timers in Bangkok, having convenient access to the train system is very important. In addition, most cab drivers knew where the hotel was based on it being close to Lumpini Park and the BTS. Rooms: Very big, comfortable and clean. Wifi access was very good, however, it was a bit spotty occasionally. Restaurants: The breakfast at the hotel is outstanding. It has both Western and Eastern style. Staff: Incredibly accommodating and friendly. Helped me with catching a cab, to finding the right place to go, to giving me free water bottles and to simply wishing me a good day. The staff deserve the highest rating. Overall: I highly recommend staying at this hotel because of its great location to explore Bangkok. The nearby BTS station and the helpful staff are a few highlights that make this hotel perfect. Collapse

The hotel deliver to its 5 stars standard. Clean, properly maintain. Staffs are helpful and I felt welcome here. Many Japanese guests here. The lobby is at 23rd floor. Guest rooms from there above. I find it ok as you get to enjoy higher bird eyes view. I requested for a quiet zone at 30th floor. And it was great and quiet.room size adequate. Small sofa is nice to sit. Separate shower and tub. They offer liquor drink at the bar as a welcome drink for ihg member as well as welcome fruits. Well thought. Location is pretty good for this area as you can just walk to bts Saladaeng. One small negative thing, that I don't understand why they don't offer bath robe inside the room. They told me they don't have that policy. I just felt very strange for a 5 stars hotel. Collapse

Recently I received an email from IHG thanking me for spending something like 50 nights in their hotels during the past year. Knowing this was only about a third of the time I spend traveling for business it was a bittersweet email. But this is my defense for why I am – yet again – writing a review of the Crowne Plaza, Bangkok: I spend a lot of time in hotels and the Crowne Bangkok remains my favorite of all those where I stay for business and pleasure. On my trip to Bangkok last month, I booked an airport pick-up through the Crowne Club Lounge staff (which I very much recommend – Thai cab drivers often don’t speak English and even with a map and photo of my location, I’ve had troubles in the past). After the drive through thick Bangkok traffic, we pulled up at the hotel where I immediately felt like a celebrity. Candy, from the Club, was waiting for me in front of the hotel. She then whisked me directly to my beautiful (and upgraded) room, where she quickly checked me in while urging me to get to the Club Lounge before happy hour ended. There, Candy and the other staff greeted me by name and welcomed me back. After long hours of traveling, finding myself on a soft couch with an always-full glass of red wine and a buffet of real food at hand (not cheese and crackers!) . . . I can’t remember a better arrival experience. The next day I was in the lounge and two staff - Pong and Jo - told me about a festival taking place in nearby Lumpini Park. I asked them for the best way to get to the park and Jo said he was about to finish his shift and would be happy to show me. On the way, I told Jo that the Crowne Bangkok had the best Lounge of all the hotels where I stay. Jo said “That’s because all of the staff are like a family . . . so it is easy to have all our guests feel like they are a part of our family.” Wow. What a response. (I will add that – after showing me the entrance to the festival - I tried to give Jo a tip for his time and he looked at me horrified, insisting it wasn’t necessary!). BTW, the festival was amazing and the highlight of my trip – I went back several times - and I would never have known about it had it not been for Pong and Jo! I won’t repeat everything from my prior reviews except to say that the facilities, restaurants, gym, pool, and – obviously – the service – all remain top notch at the Crowne Bangkok. Can’t wait to go back. Collapse

This was my first stay in the Crowne Plaza Bangkok, normally I've stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel, but as this was a business trip and most of my customers where easily accessible from the Crowne Plaza i decided to give it a go. This hotel certainly does not disappoint, it's in a great location to get around Bangkok, is reasonably priced for a city center hotel and the service is excellent. In addition the hotel is clean, modern has great bars and restaurants and first class staff to ensure you are properly looked after. My wife also accompanied me on this trip and found it's location was great to get around to go shopping and site seeing. I don't think anyone would be disappointed if they stayed here, i will certainly be staying again. Collapse

We loved this hotel. The rooms are clean and big. As soon as you walk into this hotel your in luxury. Fancy toilets that rinse off/ dry etc. very upgraded rooms. It's very close to everything. We walked to a lot of places. Taxis are inexpensive so we rented one for the day and he took us to all the tourist attractions. Definitely have the breakfast buffet. The view is incredible and the food was awesome. If your in the area definitely stay is. Collapse
