I have been at this Crowne Plaza in Abu Dhabi several times and it has become a very comfortable hotel for my family and I. Check-in was prompt, professional and courteous. It lived up to what you become to expect as a loyal IHG member and for booking a club room. I would definitely not book another room other than a club room. While the property is pleasant and rooms nice, it is the club room that makes it worthwhile. Unfortunately, we ran into a bit of a problem on this particular stay. The staff working the morning shift are outstanding. They go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. However the evening shift is cold, not particularly personable and lacks the customer service that one would expect. --Pool and lounge area is nice and even provides green space which is nice. --Club rooms are on a higher floors and have a nice view of the golf course --Toiletries are of high standard and designer --The food selection and drink in the club room is good --WIFI was strong and reliable --Hotel has excellent proximity to Abu Dhabi airport (only about 10 minutes) Overall - Nice hotel, most of the staff is excellent. One note. The club room will not allow children in during the evening hors d'oeuvres and this proved awkward as our family staying with us had a child and were not allowed in. Don't agree with it, but regardless of whether I agree with it they need to make sure they inform guests of this during the check-in process. I can tell you they didn't. Unfortunately we will probably not choose this hotel again because of they won't allow this and how they handled the situation when we questioned the policy. While arrangements were made to accommodate us as a family and this was appreciated since we are coming from different continents and do not get to spend that much time together, so being able to spend a few hours together and socialize in a relaxed atmosphere is meaningful. However how the club room staff treated us after management stepped in to allow this exception to their policy was unprofessional. One particular male just stopped waiting on us altogether. Collapse

My husband and I have been here at the Crowne Plaza in a Club Suite over a month as we are relocating from the U.S.A to Abu Dhabi (taking a while to finalize house and documents). To say the least, this hotel isn't great, AT ALL. Before staying here we stayed at the Beach Rotana for a month and there is absolutely no comparison in the two. To start off, the staff here is limited and not very friendly. This morning we were actually taken care of for breakfast at the buffet (it was staffed properly and people were friendly) for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised, however; moments later we were given a survey to complete. Now I know why we had good service for the first time, they wanted good reviews. The hostess is NEVER friendly and NEVER SMILES. All last week I had to wave off gnats the entire time while at breakfast each morning. Seems to be better yesterday and today. Dinner buffet is extremely over priced for the selection and food is sub par. Joshua, one of the servers, is very friendly and has been very kind and offered great service. Thankful for Joshua. Concierge brought a delivery to our room one day and I asked him if he could take my food cart out with him and he looked at me with a disgusted look, but took it. 3 hours later I departed my room and to my surprise the food cart was still outside of my room. I was appalled! I had to go downstairs and request someone to remove the cart before it started to stink. The bellman have never once opened my car door or the door to the hotel for me when departing or arriving on a daily basis for outings. The pool area is ok. Quite small and limited seating. The bar staff will not wait on you unless you approach the bar. Pool area needs some cleaning and updating. Again, being here over a month I would think we would receive much better service. Management really should evaluate the staff and services! On the positive side of this feedback - our room is large (we are in a club suite with water view) and spacious. The bathroom is nice size as well and the bed, bedding, and pillows are quite comfortable. Housekeeping has been very kind and friendly and has serviced our room very well on a daily basis. It's been a long month to say the least and we are hoping to be out of here within a week or so! Collapse

We visit The Crowne Plaza Hotel on April 2017. For us it was a memorable Holiday. The whole Hotel, including our room, was clean and comfortable. The Hotel offers a large selection of delicious food so we were very satisfied with the service. The Hotel staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. We were helped with every question or problem anytime. At this Point we have absolutely nothing to criticize. We would like to thank you for our incredible Holiday. Especially we would thank Umair Rizvi, the sympathetic and polite Receptionist. Thank you for your help and support and making our stay perfect. Collapse

We stayed here for a night for my wife's birthday, a short staycation from Dubai. I think as a business hotel it's fine but as a destination hotel it's slightly lacking. I've stayed in all of the Yas hotels for business except this one, so I figured as it's a bit pricier it would be nice for a pleasure stay. To be honest I didn't really notice a difference in quality from the Park Inn which is half the price. We were given an upgrade to a suite at check-in but I think because our assigned room was still occupied at 3.30pm so they didn't have much choice. We immediately went to the pool for a swim and cocktails, the pool is quite nice, although there's construction panels at the back near the golf course and the pool bar area is particularly shabby, overflowing ashtrays and just a general appearance of neglect. We couldn't get service at the loungers even though there were a few bar tenders at the bar not doing much, I walked over twice to order food and drinks. The room itself was fine, we had a separate lounge and kitchen area, although this had nothing in it, no glasses or plates, and nothing in the fridge. Not sure if this is normal. The biggest complaint I have is the pillows, they were so uncomfortable. Hard and too thick so it felt like my neck was always at the wrong angle. It was one of the worst nights sleep I've had in a long time. Lastly, breakfast was great, good selection, but the girl on the welcome desk needs some training in customer interaction, not once did she smile or seem at all welcoming, perhaps because it was 6am! My wife had breakfast later and she said the man who welcomed her was very friendly. Lastly, and on a good note, they did surprise my wife with a birthday cake left in the room which was a nice touch as I hadn't mentioned it was her birthday. Collapse
