We arrived early for our stay at this hotel but after 10 minutes wait and a welcome cup of tea in the magnificent outside landscaped gardens our room was ready for us, the reception staff were very welcoming as was the Porter who took us and our luggage to our room. First impressions the hotel, set back away from the main road at the top of a tree lined driveway and surrounded by it's own beautiful gardens with plenty of outdoor seating areas, traditional wooden gazebo also equipped with enough tables and chairs for around 50 people, Carp/Goldfish pool with fountain and walkways, the perfect place to relax with a drink in the hot July sunshine, The Reception area is spacious and as with every area of the hotel immaculately clean. A big smile from the Reception Staff and then our room, average size for a 5* hotel, very well equipped with hairdryer, Iron n Board, toiletries, shower not bath, dressing gowns, ample towels and bedding, writing/PC desk, 2 armchairs, luggage table/seat, Tea/Coffee making facilities, fully opening windows (much lacking in many hotels these days), air conditioning, 30" ish flat screen television, reasonable wardrobe space and loads of drawers, Safe, Fridge (stocked as a mini bar but still enough room to put fresh milk and snacks) full sized mirror and tastefully decorated with the décor and carpets in good order without marks or stains, there is nothing I could say we were not satisfied with. The location is further away from the main City Centre and Old Town than most of the hotels and we liked this fact, it was absolutely quiet even in the open air of the gardens. Taxis are often waiting outside the main entrance but if not reception have them there within a few minutes when asked. A taxi to the centre of attractions costs around 25-28 Zloty so very cheap and takes 10-15 minutes depending on where you go and traffic conditions. Within a short walk there is a Lidl store, KFC, McDonalds and Bank, (there is an ATM in the reception area). 10 minutes walk gets you inside the Galeria Bronowice (Bronowice District Shopping Mall) one of the largest shopping malls in the Krakow area full of a multitude of shops and some very nice places to eat, the Sphinx restaurant specialising in Steak Meals or the multi-restaurant seating area serviced by KFC, Polish Buffet, Subway and many other fast food outlets, we ate at the Sphinx and have done a separate review of it (all good) and we ate at the Polish Buffet (Express) here you pick anything you want from a huge choice of traditional Polish dishes and the cost is based on the weight of your plate, we did not skimp on our choices but paid only 49Zloty for 2 plates of food, a beer and a coffee so, very good value for money. Every member of staff at the hotel was pleasant and took the time to greet us whenever we encountered them, they were all very helpful from cleaners to Breakfast waitresses, Bar Staff and Reception Staff, even the gardeners who were constantly maintaining the beauty of the gardens. we even saw a female chef come out of the Kitchen after breakfast to check on some of the flowers near the restaurant, everyone seems to have pride in the hotel and quite rightly so. Sleep quality was excellent with good quality bedding, memory foam mattresses, totally with quiet blackout curtains. There is an onsite gym and "wellness centre" (massage etc) tennis court and cycle hire. We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 night stay at this hotel, our one and only disappointment was breakfast, it was very good but not outstanding and we have come to expect outstanding from 5* hotels, there were hot and cold options, cold meats, cheeses fruit etc but not what I would class as a full range choice, no croissants, no waffles, no Danish Pastries, the hot options were toast, bacon (more boiled than fried) continental sausage and scrambled egg. Everything else we find in 4 and 5* hotels was available and overall we were very pleased with our stay here. Collapse

This place, located 20-25 minutes ride by taxi from Krakow center is anything but 5 * hotel .The rooms are miserable, literally, and the one we have stayed in ( # 103, remember that number!) had no fridge, not a single English channel on TV, and the safe in the closet was located on the floor, so anytime you wanted to use it -you had to crawl on the floor. "Human engineering" at its worse. In the bathroom there were two worn towels which saw better days, barely a small bottle of shampoo, for two people who stayed there three days, and one wastebasket. there was no other in the room. A deplorable room in a 3* hotel, let alone in this one whose stars were most probably imaginary. Breakfast as well, compared to four other hotels in which we have stayed during our trip in Poland was pretty poor . If it wren't for the beautiful surrounding garden of the hotel which can be accessed from the dining room, even poor would be overrated. One thing for sure-a far cry from a 5* hotel by any measure. The hotel was ok. The staff did not understand English and the food left lots to be desired especially the dinners. Breakfast was ok. The hotel was ok and the property around the hotel was really nice.

If you are looking for a 5 star hotel then this should not be your choice. the rooms are of average 3* quality. the room does not have blackout curtains. The stuff doesn't speak fluent English and they are not familiar with "customer service". You must be walking in the corridors to have lights open. Breakfast is poor and if there are 2 groups of tourists you may not find your self a seat (around 7-7.30 am). The hotel is situated in a very quiet area and 7 km from the city center. Collapse

The stay here was enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable. This could be a great hotel. The staff appear to work hard and are very pleasant to guests. However some staff appear inexperienced and under pressure. Some mornings when the hotel was full there was very little left to eat if you did not eat early. One morning some of the rolls were not fresh they appeared to be from the day before and heated. There seems to be a lack of management in the dining room especially when busy. It appeared a bit chaotic. We would have eaten here but it was expensive and we never seen a menu. The hotel could do a lot more to encourage their guests to dine there. It is not centrally located so we had to taxi into the town every day which was not a problem but eating at the hotel could have been an option but there is no incentive to encourage this. The hotel were good at ordering taxis for us but the return fare from street taxis varied the price was considerably higher than the taxi company used by the hotel and it varied with each driver. The hotel WiFi was intermittent it seemed to go on and off regularly after about every 10-15 minutes. We did enjoy krakow it is a beautiful place but next time would stay more centrally. This hotel could be really great - perhaps a visit from Gordan Ramsey would help. Collapse
