Have stayed at this location at least a dozen times over the last 15 or so years. Nice location, spacious rooms, The Keg is conveniently located within the same building, excellent breakfast buffet with made-to-order omelette station and as a rule friendly staff. This visit was MUCH different. I have travelled on business all across N-America for the last 25+ years, spending about 6 months of the year in hotels, inns, resorts, etc. During that time, I have met and spoken with literally hundreds of managers, usually just to let them know what a great experience I had. My interaction with the front desk duty manager at this particular hotel was one of the worst experiences of all time. In calmly trying to talk to him about an issue that I had with my room, he showed absolutely no emotion, offered no compassion nor did he even try to provide some kind of an apology, but simply talked over me and repeated "I know, I know" to whatever I said. I have stayed in many Marriott locations all across Canada and the U.S. and have never had a manager treat me this way. He simply dismissed me and did not give a crap about my issue with the hotel. I'm really baffled as to how this individual even got into his position, as it clearly requires having to deal with the public in an understanding, compassionate and caring way. I felt like I was speaking with an emotionless robot. As I already stated earlier, the hotel as a whole is quite nice, but management here obviously needs some serious retraining, especially considering that they are the face of Marriott. There are other options out there, establishments where staff are keenly trained to listen to their paying guests and provide at least an ounce of compassion and understanding. Collapse
Very disappointing – Not Impressed at all .

My family and I stayed at Courtyard Marriott Niagara Falls, Ontario for family day weekend, Feb 18th – 20th . It was my husband’s birthday so we picked Marriott since we had been there before and enjoyed our time there. The cost of our 1st night was $180. The rate of $180 was much higher than the rest of our other overnight rates. We were hoping we would get some breakfast vouchers, discounts to surrounding restaurants and complimentary bottled water. We have received these benefits from Hilton and Sheraton and the Choice Hotel chain. Disappointingly nothing like that happened at Courtyard Marriott. All we received was a ‘Happy Birthday’ wish from the reception agent as we checked in. We thought that that was rather pathetic. The room size was O.K. but the beds could be a bit more comfortable . The housekeeping does a good job of cleaning. The BIG thing Marriott needs to pay attention is the wall insulation and the adjoining doors. During our stay we could hear the whole conversation of the people next door. The couple was having an intimate moment and we could hear everything. This could have been a very embarrassing moment if kids accompanied you. Marriott needs to pay some attention and invest in insulating the hotel building for its customers’ privacy. The parking fee is high $14 per day plus tax . Some other things Marriott needs to adopt from other hotel chains is to provide free coffee and cookies available in the lobby for its guests, plus free breakfast like Hilton and Choice hotels. These may seem a lot but these little perks make a huge difference to customers. We believe it is important to pamper your guests ( not just the VIP’s ) and you will get the regular crowd back in the future. If you treat them badly, they will go somewhere else. We have decided for our future travels we will likely stay away from Marriott hotels. Collapse

First time, and most definitely not the last time, that I'll be staying at this hotel. Check in was easy (used the Marriott app), room was much bigger than expected and cleaned at a time that was convenient for myself and check out was quick and easy as well. Any staff member that we came into contact with was friendly and courteous. Overall, I was very impressed with everything! Collapse

For $119 plus $14 a night for parking we got: Room with jacuzzi and fireplace, $40 off at the Keg, 2 free PINTS of local beer, free breakfast, bottle of white wine with chocolates (wow wine was strong - so good we went to the winery and bought some more. LOL), wego shuttle passes, wine tasting tickets, cheese tasting tickets, fudge tasting tickets, coupon for bird kingdom, free ice wine slushies. This is the second time we have come here for this deal. Best in Niagara!!! Staff was very friendly, rooms were average but very clean. View was not that great, but who cares when you have so many perks! :) The keg had an intimate atmosphere. I've been to the Embassy and although the view is great we liked the cozy feeling here much better. Loved it and will definitely be back!!! Collapse
