Hotel is located in a residential area, very quiet, wouldn't recommend for elderly or anybody with mobility problems due to there being a few steep streets to either the beach or Town. That said the small sandy beach is beautiful, would imagine this is very busy in the summer. There is a small bar on the beach, most people seemed to arrive prepared with a picnic. There is a small supermarket opposite. The hotel being Adults only was very peaceful. Rooms were very clean and daily maid service. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, great choice and always replenished. Pool area is relatively small, again immaculately clean, with comfortable beds. You could buy food from the bar during the day, always very fresh and good selection. However think the hotel missed a trick in not selling Ice teams . Some lovely restaurants and bars about 10 minute walk away . Also a very efficient bus service into nearby resorts and Palma. Overall I wouldn't hesitate in recommending a stay here and would certainly consider visiting again. Collapse
Adults behaving worse than children

In an adults only hotel you wouldn't expect guests to be shouting on their mobiles in the restaurant at dinner time or having loud conversations on the corridors or slamming bedroom doors, or even worse, reserving their sun lounger first thing in the morning. I am not blamming the hotel management for this guests' sad behaviour, I just needed to get it out of my chest. This hotel is located in a quiet and very pleasant residential hilly area 3 minutes' walk downhill to one of Majorca's most beautiful small sandy beaches Platja de Portals. The Marina Puerto Portals is just a few minutes further along from the beach and you can walk there either on the coastal path which starts from the beach or at street level. The center of Portals Nous is less than 10 minutes' walk uphill from the hotel. My room (225) was only just ok and it had a nice balcony, however the shower was tinny and the shower curtain was inadequate; it wasn't wide enough and water went all over the floor. The food at the hotel was excellent though. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and for dinner and the food quality was higher than the average 4 or even 5 star hotels. Collapse

Lovely receptionist on arrival, very helpful. We had been upgraded to the first floor rooms which have a balcony fits a small table 2 chairs and 2 sun beds which overlooked the pool and also had sea views. Rooms aren't the largest but everything adequate, clean, comfy bed, dressing table mirror,TV, nice shower room with toilet, clean towels each day, shampoo, shower gel and soap. Also a decent hairdryer. We did have trouble with our electrics, popped to reception and they came straight back with you to the room to rectify. Couldn't fault anyone. Gentlemen on the bar, can't remember names but I think Benji?? He's the one with a bald head, hope he doesn't mind me saying that but he was really lovely. Breakfast....you certainly won't go hungry. Cheeses, cold meats, bread selection, good range of different fruits, yoghurt, seeds, complete English fry up, biscuits and cakes. Then any hot drink and juices. Adult only hotel which is a bonus. Hotel is on the top of a hill but depending which way you go it's not a bad walk either to the small cove or the town. The small cover has a walk across the cliffs to the other main beach and marina. A must. Lastly you must visit Bottega Bar for a steak in hot stones, also Moo Moo. Casa Paco do a set menu but favourite was Bottega Bar, such a lovely couple running it. Collapse

Couple of things I’d watch out for when booking this Hotel. Firstly we were told off like school children for having the audacity to take our breakfast out onto the terrace. We were then forced to go back into the overcrowded dinning room to finish our breakfast. What makes this even worse is they refuse to open any windows( house rules) on asking why we couldn’t eat outside we were told that then ‘everyone would want to do it’ No real answer to that kind of logic really. Although our group had booked sea facing we were told prior to arrival that that had changed!! To compensate they offered half board in the hermetically sealed dinning room!! No thanks. The bedroom pick below sums up all I think about this hotel. Collapse

My friend and I stayed here just over a week ago and had a lovely time. We paid for a deluxe sea view room (411) it had amazing views of the beach and hill top, we were on the top floor right on the corner, in our opinion the best room for views! The only down side was being opposite the lift as there was noise on our first morning (we didn't arrive until 2am!) We didn't notice the noise any other time. The breakfast was great - lots of choice hot and cold, plenty of fresh fruit too, considering it's a 3* hotel this was fantastic. Best time to eat was before 8.30am as it started to get busy and on our first morning we had a short wait for a table - we got there for 9.30! Pool area was nice and so were the nachos! Sunbeds got taken early! We preferred the beach. Everyone was friendly and worked hard except for a lady on reception with blonde hair, she couldn't be more rude and unhelpful if she tried! She never once got off her seat to look over the counter and talk to us, she couldn't answer any of our questions. I feel this member of staff lets this hotel down especially as she is front of house. There was a lovely man on reception who was more than happy to help and was always smiling. We were missing a plug in our bathroom and he found us one, there was a little confusion at first as he thought we meant an electrical plug! The beach is less than a 5 minute walk away down a short but steepish hill, this is only an issue if you need help walking or in a wheelchair otherwise not a problem at all, same with walking to the town or Marina. The beach is beautiful secluded and quiet. Sunbeds were good value 13.50 euros for 2 with a umbrella. There is a shop across the road that will sell all the essentials you will need, even hot drinks! There is a deluxe hotel right on the beach that has live musicians every morning playing for their guests at breakfast, we got our sunbeds early (10.00) and enjoyed the live music as we sunbathed! There is a beautiful little walk from the small local beach around the headland to the bigger beach where you will find Roxy's beach bar - a great hidden gem, lovely staff and amazing views watching the sunset! You can also carry on walking to the marina. We ate at the marina most nights but it is very expensive there with starters averaging 10 euros plus and mains starting from 16 euros to 30+. A fantastic holiday, hotel was great value and will be sure to return. Collapse
