We stayed in room 221, which was on the second floor and had a sea view, which was definitely worth paying a little extra for. It over looked the pool and had a small balcony (first floors had a larger balcony and sun beds, which looked good) Here was air conditioning, a hair dryer but no fridge. The room was clean and comfortable We stayed bed and breakfast but on some nights had evening meal too which was a buffet which a good choice of starters/salads, mains, desserts and fruit for €15 each. You could basically eat as much as you wanted which would be great if you had a big appetite. The breakfast was also a buffet and had a wide range of food, from cereals, meats, cheeses, yoghurts, cooked selection fresh fruit and breads There was also entertain on every other night, which was ok. The local shops are up a very steep slop about 15 minutes walk away which a very impressive marina about another 15 mins beyond that Also a beautiful little cove with beach was literally 5 mins away, beautiful DOWN SIDE, there was not enough sun beds for all residences so there was a battle every morning with towels and some guests clashed on one occasion, not pleasant Collapse

Stayed here on a 5 night break. This hotel is good value for money. For a 3 star hotel it's got everything you need. The swimming pool and a lounge area is really nice, the breakfast is good, we got a room with a big balcony and it was great for chilling out on and sun bathing. please bite that the big balconies are only on the first floor. The balconies above are all smaller with just chairs. The only reason why I have not rated it a 5 is the showers are a little awkward to get in and out off. The doors on them are badly designed. Also one of the staff took it on themselves to give themselves a 5 euro tip for serving us lunch. I know it's only 5 Euro but it's the fact he just assumed and took it so just be careful of that. But the other staff were brilliant really friendly and one of the girls that works breakfast refused a tip that I tired to give her. Definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking for good value for money. Collapse

Other than this I couldn't recommend the hotel more highly. Collapse

The hotel is in a quiet residential area and on arrival it looked lovely. We were given room 205 and told it was just down a few steps on that level. We couldn't find the room and the number wasn't on the wall plaque. We asked the girl on reception if she could show us, after asking a few times she finally took us there. She took us to an unnumbered door, and said that was it. We said it was ridulous, and that no one would find this. The room was very small, open plan but with a separate toilet. We opened the curtains to find a very small balcony with wires hanging out the wall, that was our light! Our view was a concrete white wall, 15ft high and a 15ft drop approx. On further inspection, the patio doors would not lock (so this invalidates your insurance), wires hanging from the wall tv, the tracks around the patio doors were unfinished, with the screws showing. The toilet was not even finished, as the walls were just bare plasterboard that hadn't been sealed, plastered or painted. The plasterboard was covered in dust. The ceiling had been badly painted, with brush strokes on the top of the walls. We contacted our tour rep and they came to see it. The hotel had told them that all the rooms are the same and that they were full. We were obviously the first guests in this "room" as the Reps didn't even know of its existence. Next morning the reps came back because we'd said we couldn't stay in the hotel because of the room and the very rude reception staff. They spoke with the manager and he said they had a room just come available, would we like it. Two senior reps had arrived to look at our room and we also went to see the 'now available' room. I can confirm that all rooms are not the same because the 'now available' room was lovely, full bathroom, spacious room and a nice balcony with a view of the bay. We were moved to another hotel because of the room and the lies they told us, a manager that was so disinterested and disrespectful to us, I'm not surprised his reception staff are so rude with his attitude. Even then, it wasn't over as we had paid our room tax on arrival and the manager refused to give it back to us, which is illegal in Majorca. Our tour reps were really very good and told us that all hotel rooms are inspected at the beginning of the season and they hadn't been shown this "room". They agreed with us that it had probably been a cupboard or storage room. If you go to this hotel and are given room 205, refuse it there and then!!! Collapse

My partner and I have just returned from a 4 night break at Costa Portals. The hotel is located is a lovely quiet residential area, only 15-20 mins from the airport and less than a 5 minute walk down to the nearest beach which is lovely but quite small. It is quite a steep climb back but this wasn't a problem for us. If you walk around on the coastal path from the cove it takes you round to a bigger beach by the marina, this is only a 10 minute walk and would definitely recommend! Beautiful beach with some lovely views. Roxys beach bar is a perfect place for lunch! It is also worth having a walk around the marina, lots of lovely places to eat but quite a bit more expensive! We only had breakfast at the hotel but this was very nice, plenty of choice. Staff at the hotel are really welcoming and helpful. We had an early check out at 430am to get our flight and the check out process/taxi arrangements etc was all very smooth. We had room 219 which had a lovely sea view, beds really comfy. Only extra things the room could do with is a small fridge and tea/coffee facilities. On our last morning there was no hot water for the shower, but I think this was a one off as we hadn't had this problem before. The hotel pool was lovely, could maybe do with a few more sunbeds but a great pool to relax in. We also got the bus / taxi into Palma Nova a few times. Bus stop just down the road and it was 1 euro 50 for a single and taxi 8 euros each way. Would definitely recommend this hotel others! Collapse
