I had a very pleasant experience at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Hong Kong. Matthew and Pamela Lau started with a great check in experience and were extremely helpful. Once you got to the fairly large guest room you were met with your own portable cell phone which made the trip so much easier. The portable cell phone can be used as a WiFi hotspot and works all around Hong Kong. So hailing an Uber or using Google Maps on the go are possible. The hotel is fairly centrally located about a 10 minute walk to Times Square. I truly had no complaints about the hotel as the staff were friendly and the rooms were very clean. Collapse

I booked a Deluxe Queen bed room, arrived and this was not available. The second time on my trip I was given a room with 2 twins. The room was clean and modern, air con worked great, and overall it was pretty quiet. The bathroom is small, really small, but was well stocked and for me it was OK, I could see it being an issue for someone with more needs for preparation (makeup, hair, etc.). My rate included Internet, breakfast, and a free mini bar. Upon checking they advised me that it was the mini bar but they would remove all alcohol. OK for me no big deal but this was not listed on the website when I booked the package. The internet was good and there is also a cell phone in the room for free local calls, internet calls, and hot spot. You can take it with you anywhere you go. Breakfast: It was good it was free because I would have been upset if I paid for it. Examples, The room is under construction and it shows. The Orange juice was an Orange drink. The omelet station was a woman with a single burner gas grill in a corner. The Omelet cheese was a powdered cheese. For real cheese on the buffet they had Kraft slices, cut in half still in the plastic wrapper. The basics of cut fruit, cereal, coffee, and breads were available. The lobby bar: Small but usable. I was there when the Typhoon hit so the lobby was packed. I enjoyed a few beers but they were expensive, about 70hkd per beer (10usd). Front desk: They were happy to help and fast. Note the currency exchange rate is 7hkd to 1 usd, you can get 7.65 just down the street at the currency exchange on Wanchai street. Location: This is just outside of the action, it is about a 5 block walk to get to shops and more. The rate was good and the hotel made up for the location but be prepared to walk if you want to go out. Taxi to the airport will run you 350 - 400HK, the airport express train station is about 40hkd taxi and 100hkd for the train. I would stay again. Collapse

We were in Hong Kong from 16 to 23 October 2016. We stayed two nights in Disneyland Hollywood Hotel before going over to stay at Cosmopolitan hotel. In between, we went to Macau too and deposited most of our luggage with Cosmopolitan hotel (paying a fee for each luggage) while we were away at Macau. We return back to Cosmopolitan hotel after our stay at Macau. During our stay at Hong Kong, we encountered lots of typhoon signals warning and our whole trip was greatly affected by this natural disaster. Thank goodness, Ms Zoe Su from Cosmopolitan Hotel did all her best to cater to my requests. I arrived at Hong Kong from Lantau Island on 18 October 2016 prior to the official check-in time but Ms Zoe Su was very helpful in allowing and finding an available room for us to rest in (I have done my hotel reservation via the hotel's website much earlier prior to my trip), after she witnessed how tired we were and disappointed by the bad weather for the past few days since we touched down in Hong Kong. Ms Zoe Su was also very friendly and patient in providing directions to the places of interest which my family wished to visit. I originally booked my Ocean Park tickets together with my hotel booking but again due to the bad weather condition, we could not go Ocean Park and the hotel extended its generosity by cancelling it for me without any penalty. We checked out on 20 October 2016, to cross over to Macau for one night's stay but had to extend one more night there as there were no ferries back from Macau to Hong Kong on 21 October 2016 morning to late evening. I emailed Ms Zoe Su from Macau to ask for assistance to cancel my hotel reservation with Cosmopolitan for that night (21/10/16) and asked if I could check-in earlier if my family and I manage to return to Hong Kong on 22 October 2016. As it was an unforeseen circumstance due to natural disaster, she managed to do it without penalizing me for it. When we returned to Hong Kong on 22 October 2016, it was almost a hassle free check-in and they also did not charge us addition fees for depositing our luggage with them for an additional night whereby we were ''stranded'' in Macau. One of negative points was the underpass located outside the hotel's entrance/exit is undergoing upgrading and maintenance, pretty inconvenient for people to use. The steps of the underpass is too narrow and dangerous for users during bad weather. Another negative point was there isn't any highchair for young children in its restaurant. In addition, no training toilet seat and bed rails for guests who have young children with them during their stay in this hotel. One plus point is the free shuttle bus service provided by the hotel is good especially after lots of walking to explore Hong Kong when the weather was good. The spread of the breakfast buffet was pretty okay too. Overall, it was a good stay for us. Collapse

The hotel is built across the cemetery and it's in the middle of nowhere. You can walk according to Google maps but in the Asian heat I don't think it's really possible especially bypassing a cemetery on the way at night. There are shuttles which makes up for this thankfully and I have attached the timetable for your reference. The room is very comfortable. It's just the room you need to feel really relaxed. It's a bit small, not a surprise in Hong Kong. Wifi was pretty quick but lagged at times when traffic got heavy. Collapse
